Saturday is grey & overcast. Slept well from 01.15 until 05.50, bathroom visit & then dozing until 08:30 Down to breakfast at 09:15 - hot & cold buffet. Left about 10:10, straight to garage to fill up & get some ibuprofen. Landmark 1 was a statue of mother & son looking out to sea at Pittenweem. Within 20 minutes the heavens opened 😔……. but only for 5 minutes 🙂 We were travelling along the A915 towards Kirkcaldy when we got to Standing Stane Golf Club the road was blocked off by a police van as there had been an accident up the hill. We parked up, had coffee & a comfort break then headed back the way we had come & onto A911 etc to get to Hailes Castle. Took the photo & then headed towards Kelso. We had a kind invitation from daisy_1571 to pop in for a cuppa. DH & I spent a lovely 90 minutes with daisy & Mr daisy 😊 I have now met 3 of the declutterati - one in Scotland, one in England & one in America 🥳 😊 Arrived at The Queens Head in Kelso about 18:50 (in the rain 😔), checked in, showered & changed & in bar by 19:30. Very busy both in the bar & the restaurant. The hotel has a wonderfully quirky layout - lots of character 😊 DH had tandoori prawns followed by an humongous piece of battered haddock, chips & mushy peas. I had a stuffed mushroom followed by fish pie with carrots, broccoli & cauliflower. Both our meals were absolutely delicious 😋 Each time I went out to the smoking area I chatted with a few young gentlemen & had a laugh & a joke - DH thought I had run off 🤣 Back in our room just before 22:00.
Both very tired & a bit achy 😣 DH’s leg has some wonderful colours now - even more colourful than last night 😱 By tomorrow afternoon we will be back in England 😔 Regardless of the weather & DH’s fall we have had a marvellous time in Scotland 😊 Stunning scenery & everywhere was so green, excellent food & we met lovely people everywhere we went 👏 Highlight of today was meeting daisy & Mr daisy 😊
I think I will try to do a little cheerleading before going to bed - will set my timer for 23 minutes & see how far I get 🤞 I am currently still replying to Monday’s posts 😬 🙊
Excellent decluttering of the fridge & larder shelves on Monday nannywindow 👏 Pleased to hear that Mr nanny helped out 😊 Great to hear that your wardrobe will soon have enough space to house shoes etc 😃
Excellent decluttering of books roundtuit 👏 Well done on not persevering with a book that you weren’t enjoying 👏 Shame about the lid BUT regretting disposal of just one item out of the huge number that you have let go, is really a very good result 😊👏
Brie, FB+ sounds wonderful 🙂 Such a boon to so many people 👏
Excellent work in the garden & on the MC box oceanspirit 👏 Good luck dealing with the remaining frogs which will hopefully turn out to be only froglets or tadpoles 🍀🤞
QueenJess, an excellent Monday’s work on digital decluttering 👏 + even more physical decluttering 👏 Over 21,500 items gone 🥳
Florenceem, £1,500 raised for the Ukraine appeal 🤩 Sorry to hear that you are pre-diabetic 😔 but hopefully this can be sorted with modifications to your diet without the need for pills 🤞Sounds like MrF is doing well if he is sorting out his pensions 😊 I have bookmarked the crafting thread so that I can see all your lovely ‘makes’ 🙂
TC77, shame about the coffee pot - I just bet it was your favourite 😔 Pleased to hear that DD1 has removed 8 more boxes of her stuff 👏 Perhaps the workman has been busy & is not good at the paperwork/appointments side of being self-employed 😉 Sounds a bit like my plumber - brilliant plumber but organisation is not his forte 😉 Maybe contact the workman again & give him one more chance 🤔
TC77, DH’s knee/leg is still giving him trouble but we have a work around - I lift his leg onto & off the footrest 🙂 Right turns are still not great as DH needs a run up but if we don’t manage to turn right we just rely on the satnav to keep us on track & take the next available right turn 😉 Hope you had a successful Tuesday & managed to get 25% of your To Do list done 🤞
Another page caught up 🥳 just the 9 pages behind 😅

Gone the other way now - loads of emails - threads I bookmarked years ago are turning up. So I am decluttering bookmarks to add to my total.
Sat Mr F down yesterday for a budget chat - this is new to him as I wasn't involved in household finances when he had the business. I can see areas where savings can be made. Mr F admitted budgeting is not in his genes.
We needed to get some fresh fruit yesterday so didn't manage a day at home.
Cut out some bits ready to sew.
Church this morning - it is prize giving followed by a BBQ in the local park.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Sunday is overcast & has been raining but currently dry 🤞 Managed to sleep quite well in the super king sized bed 😉 Midnight to 02:30, bathroom visit then asleep until 05:45 - 2nd visit slept fitfully until 07:45, we both heard the alarm at 08:05 but next thing we knew it was 08:35 😱 Dressed & down to breakfast by 09:05. Full breakfast but I only managed about a quarter + half a slice of toast with marmalade. We are just cooling down in our room for a few minutes before settling up, packing the bike & heading off to find a garage. We will then be heading Cessford Castle then onto Gefrin in Northumberland. Our great Scottish adventure will be over for another year 😔
I hope everyone has a restful Sunday 😊 & I am sending hugs to everyone who needs or would like one 😉

I decided to go through my kitchen again as the insurance people still haven't done the work in our kitchen so I still have some of my kitchen stuff in the living room alongside the kitchen. I took everything out of the cupboards and cleaned them and moved some things around and it looks a lot better.
Decluttered - old tin of polish that doesn't spray anymore, some fruit in my fruit bowl had gone off, which is unusual for me, but we did go out last weekend, I went through the pet food and am using up some tins of fish for my dog as my cats don't eat that anymore. I threw away some ripped gloves and masks that we have had since the pandemic. We still have a lot of gloves and a couple spare washable masks if we did need them again.
I found something at the back of the kitchen cupboard yesterday and I didn't even know what it was. Turned out it is a cleaning brush to clean behind radiators! I don't remember buying it, but I checked Amazon and I bought it last May.
I haven't finished so I need to do that later. I just put Comedy Central on so I could listen to Friends while I do it. I have to go about organising the shelf in the living room as I am keeping spices, oils, vinegar, Marmite, PB etc... on there so I am going to find a place for it either in the kitchen or in the small "pantry" area today. I have some white space saving storage shelves that I will move downstairs to do it.
We watched the film Fast X last night which was so absurd! We did watch it to the end, though.
The winds became quite strong yesterday. We had the curtains pulled while we watching the film and I thought it was thunder outside. It looks like quite a nice day today in comparison.2025 GOALS

Top shelf in the fridge is so full things are threatening to fling themselves to the floor everytime the door is opened. So that's being dealt with today and will be combined with giving the fridge a good scrub. That may lead to a reassessment as to what we'll have for dinner as I'm sure there's a number of things that need to be eaten - rather than making a whole dinner. I'm not a regular to the Sunday Lunch club so don't care if it's a roast on a Tuesday instead. The OH has some other thoughts on this sometimes though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. A bit of fun......OH has been trying to sort out selling MiL's motorised scooter and has found the keys, charged the battery, tidied is up. And then we both went out for a little scoot about!!! He was shouting "tally-ho" and I was pretending to be in Heck's Angels. And then one of the neighbour's children pulled their car into the lane. No doubt they thought we looked pretty silly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Just checking in. DGD4 (aged 8) has been quite poorly and stayed here with me Friday. Better today so school tomorrow. I'm a bit disorganised since my holiday. DS2 starts a training course for 10 weeks on Monday week and will be away from home for at least half of it so lots of childcare and it's the school holidays. Week booked with DD which they are looking forward to. I have changed bed and done some cleaning. Just grabbed washing in as it started to rain. Lots of things on this week in and amongst the childcare - feel exhausted already.
