was looking for a bit of art paper to draw a colour map (as you do....) and came across a big box of craft stuff - beads, jewellery bits, felt, ribbons etc. So all bagged up now in the room of doom to go to the charity shop. Set aside the wool and tunisian crochet hooks and put them in the craft bag my adopted grandmother gave me more than 50 years back. I'm meeting up with a very creative friend in a couple of weeks so I'll take the bag and hooks etc along and see if any of it is of use. We usually go off to charity shops after so if she doesn't want any of it I can drop it there. A bit of a wrench getting rid of something I've had since childhood but the alternative is that eventually it would get dumped so I might as well ensure it goes someplace useful.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Not sure I like this new look. I was away for a week and all changed.
Anyway. More bags of washing in and out for DS3 and partner. 5 binliners washed plus two in the bin (with permission)
A bag of books dropped off to the table raising fiunds for MIND at one of the M6 services.

4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend

Back again 😊 We left the hotel about 10:10, filled up with petrol then headed off to Cessford Castle. Highlight of the day happened about 20 minutes into our journey - we followed an huge hare for about 50 yards before he turned off the road & into a field 😊 He was obviously out for his Sunday morning stroll 😉 From 11:00 to 15:40 the wind was horrendous (although there was lots of blue sky & sunshine 🙂) - some gusts moved the bike a foot at least & DH was exhausted keeping the bike upright & moving 😩 He ended up having a full upper body workout for almost 5 hours 😱 We did detour to photograph an old landmark in Newbiggin called The Couple, as we didn’t want to arrive at our hotel in Boroughbridge too early 😉 Although we ended up arriving 15:45 & are now relaxing in our room in the annexe building (4 rooms with their own courtyard 🙂) - same room as a couple of years ago 👏 We will shower & change in due course as dinner is booked for 19:00 😉
A milestone for our Goldwing today - 50,000 miles traveled since we bought it in 2017 🥳 The previous owner had only ridden 5,105 miles in 4 years 🙄
Well, will you look at that only 17:10 so I have time to do some cheerleading 😉
weenancy, he was a clumsy clot on only our 2nd day in Scotland 😉 so no doctor, just judicious use of Ibuprofen, wearing compression socks, me helping by getting off the bike to take the photos & assisting him to get on & off the bike during the day. We are now on our final leg - about 210 miles from home 🙂 DH will either phone 111 tomorrow or mention it to the nurse on Friday when he goes for his blood test 🤨
Moorviews, thanks for the healing vibes 👏 Fortunately although the leg is very colourful it is not as swollen as it was 😮💨 Excellent decluttering 👏 As to the difficulty moving books on, at least you are aware of the issue & are trying hard to move them on 😉 Hopefully with both you & MrMV on the case, you will gradually start to see the frogs being banished from your lives 🤞 Also sending positive vibes to your children so that as well as being supportive they can find some time to help you declutter 😊
Thanks QueenJess 👏 The leg has improved considerably as it hurts less & once DH has moved around a bit in the morning it is stronger & he now rarely needs my assistance to get on the bike 🙂Sorry to hear that DD was so unwell Monday night 😔, but very relieved that you managed to get her temperature down even though it left you exhausted 😩 Wow that is an impressive number of documents deleted - over 2,000 🤩 That deserves a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 👏 Hope you managed to catch up on your sleep over the week 🤞
Florenceem, well done DGS J - I am awarding him a medal 🏅 for his latest bout of painting 👏Absolutely love the doggy Christmas stockings 😊 With the amount of crafting you have been doing recently, no wonder you have had to order more fabric 🤩
Liverpool_Anne, you did have a very busy weekend (7th to 10th July) - no wonder you were exhausted 😔 Regardless of extended journeys, it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend 😊 I must admit that Glenbuck was quite impressive but a bit out of the way 😉 I do love a good wall painting so am hoping that when the Paul O’Grady ones are completed that you will be able to post pics 🤞🙏 Excellent decluttering 👏 Hopefully MrSD’s knee will recover properly once we are home & he can rest it properly 🤞
Excellent digital decluttering QueenJess 👏 another 100+ items 🤩
GrannyKate, we seem to have the same weather - lots of rain in Scotland but most days quite warm as well 😊 Great decluttering since you’ve been home 👏
QueenJess, I was so pleased when they first had the Report button to the left of Quote unfortunately it would seem a lot of people complained 😔 Like you I am having to be so careful not to hit Report instead of Thanks 😔 Nothing wrong with ‘bouncing around’ from task to task 😊 You are still getting lots done especially when it comes to digital decluttering another 300+ items 👏 Thanks for the instructions re changing signature settings 👏
Another page caught up 🙂 DH has just had his shower & I am about to have mine. See you all later 👋

Mrs SD, impressed you can cheer lead while on adventures. Glad Mr SD's knee isn't stopping your trip and enjoy reading about it , and so much going on within the thread. Lost a couple of posts a few days ago.
4 phone chargers for donation hub and 3 large storage jars, 16 placemats/coasters for CS, and 1 CS bag dropped off with 2 extra tops put in it, lots of small bits of rubbish, 100 photos off phone and some text threads.
Went to my dads and Dbro was there. Went through a few things and found some bags of our DM's clothes - all freshly washed and ironed but been under the bed in storage bag for 13 years! Taken to CS along with some coasters. (counts as 1 as not mine). Brought things back to mine to pass on, some 1960s/70s curtains, lots of fabric, a 1950s infrared/ultraviolet lamp, home recorded DVDs of films I plan watching over the winter (not ones you get on streaming usually) also a chair and a deckchair (think edwardian as a folding one but with arms) both which need recovering. DD2 complaining about stuff everywhere. I am taking a lampshade back to a shop and other things to the swedish shop hopefully tomorrow, and bag of uniform/scrubs for DD1 who is on placement for a few weeks. Alot of emails deleted (over 200 I think) and 4 email frogs done. Packaging out too.
Rounding up to 950 and going to be more accurate going forward.
In the background is an australian documentary about simple living off the land....
Have to work out how to pass on much of what I have brought back...
Tomorrow proper work in town, hopefully pass a few things on and also some filing in the evening.

For some reason ended up on an old post of @foxandflowers with I think a quote about if things are in our house to save them from landfill our house is the landfill! I need to keep this in my mind!
Take care all.16 -

A great shower 🙂 Headed off to bar at 18:40 as dinner booked for 19:00. DH had chicken liver parfait followed by a chicken burger & fries. I had prawn cocktail followed by beer battered haddock, triple fried chips & mushy peas 😋
Back in our room by 21:05. Pics of room & courtyard to follow
weenancy, that is great 😊 What a marvellous way to run a library 🥳
daisy_1571, someone else has probably answered but if you click on the ‘head’ you will find an option - Bookmarks - which will show you all your bookmarked threads & you can access from there 😉 I agree that the new format is definitely ‘shouting at us’ 😞
QueenJess I see you have already answered daisy 👏😉
daisy_1571, I am always frightened of clicking on something new, as well 😉
Floss & QueenJess - your conversation about ‘Cloud Storage’ has sailed over my head & is on its way to Mars 😂
oceanspirit, Tuesday was a very successful decluttering day 👏 No wonder you are pleased 😃 Shame about the salad & veg going off but it will only happen once 😉
Brilliant digital decluttering QueenJess 👏 another 1,000+ photos/videos deleted 👏
TC77, I am just wondering if the new format is better for mobile phone users? I imagine it must be unless of course having made the font so large mobile phone users can only read ten words before having to scroll 😂 Well done on tackling frogs - one for you & one for DD1 👏
GrannyKate, I had a try too - I suppose I will get used to it but still annoying that two posts take up the whole screen on my iPad 😔
Liverpool_Anne, fingers crossed that Tuesday’s rain showers were the last for the week 🤞Really hope that you managed to get all your LDFPA done on Thursday 🤞🍀
I have now got as far as replying to the first of Wednesday’s posts 🥳
charlies_tribe, mentioning spaghetti on toast - sounds quite appealing 😅 I had to read back what I actually had for dinner 🤣 Hope DH’s shoulder has improved from Wednesday 🤞 Re the old style €20 note, it probably has to be exchanged in a bank 🤔 Hope that DS2’s hospital went well on Wednesday 🤞 Great decluttering 👏
Siebrie, perhaps you can get your new neighbour to help with your renovations 😉 That would put the cat among the pigeons with regards to your DH 🤣 I am only joking 🙃 ….. I think 🤨 Very kind of your neighbour to let you add 8 full builders bags to his container 😇 I hope DD2 is getting up when called 🤞
Lovely sentiment dND 😊 So pleased to hear that you are enjoying the lovely Welsh mist & the cooler weather 👏 A new car is not a Justin or a May B - it is a necessity as house hunting using public transport is not really a viable proposition 😅 Wow, what a great trip back dND 🤩 Not sure about the signature on an electronic pad though 🤨 mine never remotely resembles my actual signature 😉 🙊You have had the grand French Adventure & now it is time for the Grand Welsh Adventure 😊 Good luck with the house hunting 🍀
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 At least with the ‘opening & shutting of windows’ you probably got loads of steps 😉
QueenJess, lots of useful information - almost makes me wish I had lots of photos stored digitally 😉More excellent decluttering - 700+ 👏
Sounds like a lovely Wednesday stellata 😊 New baby in the extended family ☺️ Well done on decluttering your plastic container collection 👏
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 Always lovely & satisfying when lots of smaller tasks get completed & you can see & feel the difference 😊
Liverpool_Anne, what a very successful Wednesday - sorting out all your yarn & tidying ‘Yarn Corner’ 👏 DH was OK with the steep stairs as he had a baluster to hang onto, went down sideways & only needed the one visit in the night 😉
A perfect place to stop - my next cheerleading session will start with Thursday’s posts - so only four days behind now 😉
Hope everyone has a peaceful night’s sleep & I will see you all tomorrow 👋

The wind this weekend has decluttered the shade on our free standing awning….. It was getting a bit fragile but I had been hoping it would last the summer. A new sun sail has been ordered as a replacement. Just need to work out how best to secure it. The original had Velcro straps. I can see para cord in my future.Lovely day at the Norfolk Flower Show & Antiques Fair yesterday. Hi all, no decluttering yesterday, I spent the day batch cooking veg stew and some soup and a couple of cherry crumbles. OH loves cherries but can't eat them raw, gets an allergic reaction, but is ok once they are cooked. So lots of stuff moved from the fridge / veg rack to the freezer but not really decluttered
.
Today we met some friends for a late lunch / early teawhich was lovely, good food and great company
. Before we went I did some ironing, emptied the bathroom bin, the kitchen bin and the bedroom recycling bin so at least something was done today
@Florenceem lovely stockings
@Mrs SD I am glad Mr SD is coping with the knee and managing to keep the bike under control in the very windy weather. I hope tomorrow is an easier ride.
Right off to bed, hugs to anybody who would like one
1002 ironing

Take care everyone

Fell off the EDT again ..... might have a chance of staying on for a while as this week looks way less busy than last.
Weekend: A busy day on Saturday celebrating my friend's birthday, Caught up with myself yesterday, including a lovely long chat with a friend.
Success of the week - managed to completely avoid exH who was visiting the UK for a week - I normally find his presence very disruptive because he's always just "passing through". He's off to another continent for at least 6 months today so won't have to deal with this for a while - although it breaks my heart for my son (who actually doesn't seem to be that bothered 🤔).Tasks:
