@QueenJess - I have a surprise for you. When most little girls grow bigger, the clothes situation just becomes worse. Especially if she is like my little sister (now aged 60!) When she got married, we were still trying to clear out her clothes from when she was 10-12. When she moved from her first apartment, it took three van loads of clothes plus half of the 30' moving van was nothing but clothes. One bedroom in their house is nothing but her clothes. She also has clothes in the bedroom she and her OH sleep in. My clothes on the other hand are too sparse - I currently only have 5 wearable summer tops and two pair of trousers plus two skirts (which I seldom wear). All of my clothes fit on a two shelf bookcase unit and in one medium suitcase (the winter clothes). I don't have a closet. Haven't checked out the middle sister's wardrobe - she may have figured it out better. Maybe if you just stack the ones definitely to keep in one pile and the ones definitely to get rid of in another and just save the unknown for when you are watching tv to sort through. Good luck.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
2nd load of washing finished & hung out. 3rd wash in. Half of 1st load dried, folded & put away. Sorted my accounts for this month as received bank statement this morning + watched the 2nd Countdown semi final. Three 9 letter words from one contestant 🤩 Back to cheerleading at 17:52 - timer on 😉
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like you had a lovely Monday evening with your friends 😊 I hope OH let you know how much was banked 😉 or was it all spent on gin o’clock & KFC with ln 😂
Florenceem, hope you enjoyed your day in yesterday & that the boiler man turned up & got the job completed 🤞
2Scratters, great suggestion but I think it is all sorted now & Florenceem will be getting everything required for MrF to return home & be safe 😊
QueenJess, better to take your time over books especially the ones to which you have a sentimental attachment 😊 Great idea to catalogue them & well done on finding an app that is useful 👏 I have bookmarked that website & will read more fully when I have some time 👏 Hope you were successful in working through 2 of your 22 bookshelves 🤞
Siebrie, hopefully when DH gets back he might release a few pairs of shoes to a new home - whether it be CS, sale or next container for Africa 🤞Great work decluttering all DH’s washing & hope you can source a curtain for free or at least only a small cost 🤞 Sounds awful living so close to the airport 😔not only the dust but also the noise 😱 That was an extremely effective workout by the sounds of it 👏 I was tired just reading about it but without the benefit of the endorphins released 😉 Do you think that idea might work for oven racks? As I still haven’t booked an oven cleaning company 😔
Florenceem, great idea re the rollator with seat 👏 & fingers crossed that it arrives before MrF gets home 🤞 Your DGS J is a real gem 💎 & 🤞he got all the painting done & you didn’t have to stay up past your usual bed time 🤞Good luck for Thursday - hope everything is in place for DH to come home on Friday 🤞🙏
Excellent work dealing with half the CS bags 2Scratters 👏 Hopefully you can get the other bags to CS before they travel 200 miles 😉🙃 Good luck with your listings on FB MP 🍀 Re editing - on an iPad at least there is a small cog ⚙️ top right hand corner of your post which gives you an option to edit or delete. Not sure where the cog ⚙️ is sited on phone or pc 😔
Floss, I can see that QueenJess has replied 👏
Lovely chatty & supportive post Moorviews 😊 Sorry to hear that other people’s stuff is being foisted on you 😔 Perhaps it can be boxed up & stacked out of the way to allow you to remain focused on your own stuff 🤞Once you have a few successful decluttering sessions it might be easier to start on the ‘extra stuff’ coming in 🤔 & you might also be able to enlist other family members to the task 🤞🙏
Wednesday2000, yippee to husband delivering donation bag to CS 🥳 Now you just have to persuade him to make your breakfast each morning so the mason jars will be used 😉😉 Hopefully your friend will come over early in the week so that the building debris at the side of the house is gone asap 🤞Only other solution is to stay in TLC Carriage until it is gone - you don’t need the annoyance 😉😅
GrannyKate, great work in the kitchen 👏 one medal 🏅 coming your way 🙂Also some great ys/deal offers to fill your freezer - very MSE 👏 P.S. Glad you didn’t freeze the beer 🤣 When are you off on your holiday?
TC77, fingers crossed that DD1 is a quick packer 🤞 After organising everything for her the very least she should be doing is getting ready to move into her new flat herself rather than leaving everything to you 😔 & 😖 So sorry to hear that the ‘court thing’ with ex is still unresolved 😔 & 😖 again. Well done on the decluttering that you have done 👏 Hopefully the compensation will offset the cost of the blinds - at least a little 🤞 I forget to ask, did you manage to sort out replacing the contents of your list wallet without too much difficulty 🙏 Good luck next week - an empty house should be very useful as you start tackling the decluttering in earnest 🍀
Sounds like you had a lovely day crafting yesterday, Florenceem 😊 Pleased that you have taken some time for yourself 😊 Still keeping everything crossed that everything is in place for MrF to come home Friday🤞 It has been a long time coming 😔 Very well done on resisting the lure of the CS 👏 one medal 🏅 coming your way 😊
Timer has just gone off again - 2.5 x 23 minute sessions of cheerleading completed 🥳 Now time to turn my attention to sorting out something for dinner 😱 as DSis doesn’t appear to be doing anything 🤣
Back later 👋

Florenceem I love that card and quote
I am not religious in any sense but Be still gets me
have you heard the hymn and music ( part of Finlandia by Sibelius) Be Still my Soul
think it’s based on it Psalm46 ( I had a very religious upbringing ,)
we had the music played at my DH funeral,it was at the end of the lockdown so no singing and very few attendees allowed .
sorry going off track15 -

Long day at work today, back to hospital tomorrow morning so I booked half a day off so I don't have to rush. hopefully I'll be seen on time then I can squeeze in a nice coffee somewhere on the way back.I was working in a new place today and got a bit lost so parked up to find out where I was and ended up outside a very friendly charity shop who happily took the 3 bags of stuff I've been driving around with since my local shop refused them. Very jolly ladies they were and parking right outside the door, win win.
Still plodding on!Magnolia Stellata18 -
Need to get up at daft o'clock tomorrow to navigate the rush hour to get a train to Rhyl and haven't packed. Not that I'm there that long.
