Hi all, just popping in to say a bin bag of hard plastic taken to the tip on my way into town. 2 presents bought and then off to meet some friends for coffee. Home via OHs house to collect mail and check all was ok. The grass was nearly knee high again
. While I was in town I found a debit card just lying on the pavement so I picked it up and then wondered what to do with it. I was on my way to the police shop when I spotted a branch of the bank that had issued it so I took it in there and handed it to a member of staff
worry over
After tea I ordered some of my meds, since my holiday I am out of sync with them as some I get 2 monthly and some are 28 days but it will sort itself out eventually
I am up early tomorrow as OH has a hospital appt and I am chauffeur as there is no parking near the place and OH will struggle with the walk from the nearest parking as it is right at the other end of the hospital grounds. Honestly they don't make it easy.
Not caught up yet but will post and then do it so hugs to anybody who would like one
900 bag of hard plastic to tip
901 presents bought
902 post for OH collected
903 meds ordered
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I took a Bolognese sauce from the freezer, thawed it on my special board & cooked spaghetti. Not gourmet but delicious 🤤😉 Most of wash-loads 1 to 3 dried on whirligig but as we now have light rain the 4th load hasn’t been put out. According to the forecast we are due rain at 01:00 then 04:00 through to 09:00 😞 Guess what I did about an hour ago (23:00) …….. yes that’s right I watered my plants 🤷♀️ Tomorrow I need to harvest radishes & will hand out to any neighbours who want them 😉We probably also need to start harvesting potatoes as well. Wudupa.

EnergyShifter, shame about the solar fairy lights 😔 By the sounds of it, you would bundle all DS’s bits into boxes & bags & help him on his way either that or go out for the day & leave him to it 🤣
QueenJess, sounds like decluttering the bookshelves is going to be a mammoth task so well done on dealing with one shelf 👏 Excellent decluttering & well done on reaching 17,600 👏
Floss hope your radiotherapy isn’t too taxing.
Great decluttering bit_by_bit 👏
I haven’t done as much cheerleading as I wanted to but my eyelids are drooping & I keep nodding off, so I am off to bed 🙂 Hope everyone has a good night 😴

Morning all - I have a few things to go out today but first job is packing. Off to Scotland tomorrow with DD and family. She is finally getting a proper replacement car this morning which we should all fit in. Her old car is to be repaired but I suspect that will take months.
Lovely day trip yesterday to Newark on coach. I enjoyed walking round and visiting castle, church and museum. I recommend riverside walks there. I was very MSE and took a small picnic which I ate by the river and I had a coffee and cake in the church for just £2.
947 Decluttered maps etc to recycling which I printed off for yesterday's outing
Right - packing, banking, pop to tip and shop for bread. Need to get on with it.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

"Siebrie, hopefully when DH gets back he might release a few pairs of shoes to a new home - whether it be CS, sale or next container for Africa 🤞Great work decluttering all DH’s washing & hope you can source a curtain for free or at least only a small cost 🤞 " - I have some very nice curtains in the attic, I was just waiting for the renovations to be finished, but I will take out 1 now."Sounds awful living so close to the airport 😔not only the dust but also the noise 😱" - There is a spa in front of our house; it's in a small castle with a surrounding garden with very mature trees. They catch most of the noise. Most noise comes from the police chopper, the occasional military flight, and the last DHL flight at 11.30pm."Do you think that idea might work for oven racks? As I still haven’t booked an oven cleaning company 😔" - yes, I think it will work. Just make sure the bin bag isn't leaking
Soaking it this way makes the grime loosen, you still need to wipe or brush it off and rinse it. Maybe in the bathtub? With a watering can at the back of the garden?

OT Technician is here - making lots of noise and mess but it will be worth it.
Had delivery of aids arrive - only one toilet frame - spoken to OTs - to see if Mr F will be able to be discharged tomorrow- doesn't look like it - he is going to be so disappointed. I spoke to the OT who added a second frame to the order - they are going to get back to me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Thursdays are always a mad panic with tons going on and lots of work meetings, so not much time for anything else. I am just going for tiny little breaks today and am tidying 2 things for every 1 thing decluttered so that the place gets tidied up as well as getting rid of things!Today's mini decluttering task is a bookshelf, so I will continue to log my books in the library into my app as I have a full shelf of books I love and re-read all the time, but just need to log them. I am also continuing to work on my cooking books to try and get them down to one place rather than two in the dining room. It's tough as I have to let go of ever having the time to flick through and remind myself that I generally just look online anyway if I want a recipe. I've identified 1 book I only keep for a single recipe, so I've copied it into my recipe app* that I use for everything and will get rid of the book. There are also about 7 people picking stuff up today for Buy Nothing, so if they all come that has cleared out my box again so I can refill it with more decluttering stuff. If I can get anywhere near 18,100 today I would be really happy... that's a lot of things that would be gone and a much tidier house!Digital:
18,045 - online account deleted
Physical:
18,046-18,049 - food overstock (food bank)
18,050 - book (recycled)
18,051 - cookbook (Buy Nothing - only kept for one recipe I transferred to an app)
18,052-18,056 - packaging (reused)
18,057-18,058 - book (charity bag)
18,059 - paper (reused, then recycled)*In case anyone is curious I bought Paprika3 app years and years ago as you can add in recipes (backed up to the cloud), but you can also go to a website with a recipe within the app and it will download it for you. It is brilliant when you have tons of bookmarks like me and so now I don't need all the bookmarks where I couldn't find anything anyway!

Work from edge of stain towards centre. Scrapee over the wet bit with something flat and sharp (she used a card nail file) to squeeze out excess liquid as it can cause mould and wipe up.
