Phoned my SA officer to ask if he would like me to lock up tonight - will be my only fresh air today after having my first day at home for 17 days.
Was sent photos of DGd M in her fawn costume.
Mr F is getting the hang of using a stick and walking unaided.
Slow going in my craft room as lots of stuff to move and sort and dust to declutter.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

It is now 18:00 & my 2 x 23 minute sessions have been spent profitably 🥳 I have used my toy to weed the front path completely so it now looks like someone cares 😉 I worked up a decent sweat 😓 The 10 minutes spare I had was used to complete a couple more puzzles 😉 & make a hot drink 😊 DH is in the garage solving the problem of how to put up the last trellis without having to drill into the concrete fence post 👏 Back to the cheerleading now.
Fizz2015, pleased to hear that the Guinea pigs are a family affair 😊 Sorry to hear that you are feeling overwhelmed by your clutter 😔 Maybe the rest of the family can pitch in 🤞You could try giving each person an area/surface that they are responsible for & to your satisfaction 😉 No reward to be offered other than your beaming smile 😃 Hope you slept well last night & are are feeling a touch more positive today 😊
Excellent work dealing with your laundry & the gardening Liverpool_Anne 👏 I think you are also a lovely neighbour watering ln plants whilst she is away 😊 Have you been using the timer system when tackling your email decluttering? I find that if I use it, my concentration seems to last longer 😅 I have so far resisted the temptation to go down the ‘goat wormhole’ Fascinating animals & as an aside I remember an 18-30 holiday in Corfu when several of us kept a goat’s water bowl topped up with beer 😈 Lovely cheerleading post 😊
weenancy, hopefully there is something in place including the garage providing a car for GrannyKate’s DD 🤞
QueenJess, sounds like DH is the biggest clutterer in your house 😉 & is a ladybug 😂 shoves everything into drawers 😉 Hopefully you can get your children to start working on their dad 😂 as you say if they are members of the declutterati already then it is about time your DH joined in 😉 Perhaps just tip the contents of a couple of office drawers into a box & hide the box 😈 as a prelude to your edited comment “Edit: I did tell DH that one day he’ll go out to work and when he came back he’ll ask where all our stuff is 😆”
Only a short post as I need to start making dinner 😞
P.S. Not only did DH solve the challenge of putting up the last trellis but he has also put it up 🥳
Following pic is the area of the patio that has been sorted

Mrs SD, you and Mr SD have been busy, smiled at the corfu goat adventures.
Dd2 has started sorting her room. Last a level yesterday which didn't go well but she's pit behind her for the moment. Work has taken over but returned 3 items and did laundry and some paper declutter.
Sunday will start. Dd1 back tomorrow and says not taking all her furniture so Sunday hopefully g*tree I think.
Take care all

I woke feeling much more positive today, though overslept until 8am and only just got Dd to school on time. Felt tired all day but managed 5 loads of washing, 2 loads of dishes and made a cake for FIL's birthday.
School rang near hometime Dd had hurt her eye and very upset. So mad dash to school to collect her. Pain wasn't easing so quick trip to A&E, some dye in her eye and has a scratch on the cornea. Been prescribed ointment. Hopefully she is in less pain tomorrow.

Hi all, today I have managed to fill and empty the lr bin, the kitchen bin and the kitchen recycling bin. I had a mini sort out of the veg in the fridge, unfortunately some had to be thrown away which is annoying so I made a big pan of soup with some and blanched and froze the rest. OH mentioned yesterday that 1 of the onions he was using was soft so I checked the bag and peeled and chopped them up, 2 were unusable. 6 were frozen and 2 used in the soup. I did question my sanity of making soup while it was so hot but I have 8 portions in the freezer. While it was simmering I went to work on the emails. I took a break from them when I started to lose concentration and went to stir the soup and make myself a cuppa and had a potter in the garden. After tea I went back to them and managed to delete 400 as well as file about 100 so I was quite pleased with that. When I had had enough I just watched the tv for a while.
@Florenceem, I am not sure Mr F will be able to get into the bath if the OT doesn't think he can manage the step into the shower.
I am sorry but I can't remember who mentioned it but it resonated with me. I have plans to remove the bath and replace it with a walk in shower that is big enough to take a shower stool. We currently have a shower over the bath and while I am quite able to manage this now looking to the future I am not so sure. I never have a bath, only use the shower but OH does sometimes have a bath but already has problems getting out of the bath with the dodgy knee and quite honestly the grab rail wouldn't help and neither could I so they bath is pretty much redundant. It is a project for the future. I know people say it might lose money on the value of the house but quite honestly I am not worried about that, I am not planning on moving and I think your home should work for you not some future inhabitants
I have done some further goat research and I have found 2 places in the UK who hire out goats, 1 in Wales and 1 down south in Dorset iirc. So there may not be a gap in the market
Right off to bed, hugs to anybody who would like one

I cooked omelettes for DH & me - filled with cheese, mushrooms, cooked peppers & ham with a side of lettuce & sliced radishes 🤤 DSis had oven chips & breadcrumbed chicken. Wudupa.

Florenceem, I can see now why you are so determined to get the decluttering done before MrF gets home 😉 Hopefully the therapist has contacted you by now 🤞
Very enlightening conversation between Floss & Florenceem re bathroom facilities at home 👏. I am taking notes for when we finally/eventually get our bathroom renovated. Various ideas that DH & I haven’t even considered.
fritzie-65, thanks for the suggestion 👏
bellabella, thanks for your idea too 👏
Siebrie, very useful information, thank you👏
Florenceem, there is certainly a lot to think about 😔 Hopefully a practical solution can be found 🤞Fingers crossed that you do get to visit MrF this weekend 🤞
Floss, thanks for the link 👏 Although I get the impression that all these bathrooms are not suitable as an upstairs bathroom 🤨 I always thought wet rooms are for the ground floor only 🤨 I need to investigate properly 😔
Siebrie, it only seems a few weeks ago that your husband returned from his last visit to Africa 🤔 & he has now gone again 😬 Hopefully it will only take a couple of days to return everything to its rightful place & then you can resume your decluttering & filling the 2 containers that you have 🤞 The pool sounds like it has paid for itself several times over 👏 Shame it is extra work for you but at least it is saving you time not having to travel to swimming pools 😊 Well done on reporting the “fly tippers”👏Hopefully your information will help the police track them down & the courts will punish them swiftly & effectively 🤞Also congratulations on getting the fine cancelled 🥳 your perseverance paid off 😊
Florenceem, as you have had chicken pox, I hope you can get the shingles vaccination asap provided of course that you are over 70 😊 Sounds like the OTs are determined to get MrF home 😉 I’m just wondering if you could have someone with you when the technician visits as it might be easier if there are two of you to take in all the information so that you can make an informed decision about what aids are practical in your home 🤔 Good luck with cleaning & decluttering your craft room 🍀 Sounds like you are on the final leg of your decluttering 👏
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, pleased to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Eyam 😊 I have made a note of your book recommendation & when DH aks what I would like for my birthday I will have something to ask for 😉 Yippee to finding a charity that will take your dining room table 🥳 & well done DD1 for selling so many of your clothes on V*nted 👏 Good luck with filling the suitcase with donations for the CS 🍀
Lovely supportive post bit_by_bit 😊 Well done on dealing with frogs 👏
QueenJess, excellent work 👏 You still manage to get more done than I do even when you are out of the house for most of the day - you are a declutterer extraordinaire 👏😊 If DH is off out on Friday, how on earth does he expect to deal with the tasks on the list you gave him 😔 Fingers crossed that you can keep him busy over the weekend 🤞
Florenceem, hope your SA officer let you lock up 🤞 I know it is cheeky of me to ask but would you be prepared to share the photo of DGD M in her fawn costume 🙏 Good news about MrF 😊 I bet he is really looking forward to coming home once all the aids are in place 😊 Good luck with decluttering your craft room 🍀
TC77, not too sure the goat was happy with his hangover the next day 😂 Hopefully DD2’s last exam didn’t go as badly as she thinks 🤞Wishing her lots of success in decluttering her room 😊 Every bit out is a win TC77 👏 Good luck with DD1’s move into her new flat 🍀 Hopefully the furniture she leaves behind can be disposed of quickly 🤞
Excellent work Fizz2015 👏 Decluttering laundry, washing dishes & baking a cake 🤩 Sorry to hear about DD 😔 Hopefully the ointment will take effect quickly & DD will not be in pain 🤞 Does she have to stay home tomorrow or will she be allowed to go to school?
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 At least you put your soup in the freezer Liverpool_Anne so you are saner than DH & me 😉 DH & I are eating ours regardless of the hot weather 😂 DH & I are also looking to have a walk-in shower instead of a bath but I am still procrastinating as I do love taking long baths 😅 Just 2 places that hire out goats 🤨 I still think there is a place for a 3rd goat business 👏😊
Night night everyone. Hope it is cool enough enough for everyone to manage a good night’s sleep 🤞

Fizz2015 - hope your daughter's eye is not so sore today.
Didn't get up until 6 this morning - washing machine is on and having breakfast.
Going to be busy getting ready for tomorrow's table top sale - last one until the end of September so a nice break.
I won't get to see Mr F this week but he is fine about it and we chat on the phone - he is so much better mentally now.
Hope to get more done in the craft room today - I am nearly half way there.
DGd N's very much more spotty now - Bless her.

Morning Peeps,
I am just popping in with a little to report and will be taking a chair lounger on the EDT carriage. I am absolutely drained emotionally at this this time. A lot of time is being spent and shared between siblings seeing to mum and dads needs - he had a stroke last weekend and will be in hospital for the forseeable.
Bear with me all please, as I will need you all as my crux and deviation from RL (it all is I know)
I have sometime last week successfully done all the washing, got it dried AND put it away - we need an acronym for that too
I reorganised some wardrobe space. This will reduce in times as it is items/stuff to be used up. 3 items were chosen by DH to remove 2 to CS and 1 binned, even he has enough rags in his shed.
Guilty purchase from CS of 2 items total of 4.50 short sleeved top and some cropped pants. All washed and ready to wear. T-shirts in myside of the wardrobe were rehashed trying to get some to leave.
Bedding box from parents house (hand made by dad) is now in the loft. 2 other items went up. A bag of clothes hangers came down, bag of mixed curtains loaded into my car for a CS drop off somewhere. My car needs to get emptied as there was so much stuff already in there the back seats are down costing me more when travelling around. Need to give my head a wobble and clear it out and it will hopefully help lift me.
Take care all
