Thankyou all for your kind words re blanket.
@Liverpool_Anne : the sewing up wasn't so bad, it was getting the colours matched up to make it make sense.
So sorry to her of your friend @Liverpool_Anne. Sudden death is always a shock. Big hugs.
Sounds like hard but satisfying labour @ruby_eskimo
Amazing progress @FlorenceemHow are you doing with your pile @vulpix?
So today has ben spent clearing the area around my desk which has become a big messy pile due to be busy with other stuff.. Also cleaned the bathrooms and downstairs loo. Spent time on the allotment and generally feel I have been productive.
Reporting one large item out. I sold a huge teddy on Gummytree.
Take care one and all.

Hi all back again
. It stayed dry so I managed to get 1 bag of garden waste into the bin
then I went over the fence and dead headed ln's pots, hanging baskets and roses that unfortunately have taken a battering in the heavy rain. After tea I just watched some tv and did some crochet.
I have to be up early tomorrow as I have an appt for breast screening. I really dislike them as I find them so painful but I would never miss them.
@Vulpix did all that come out of your larder? Wow that's a big larder. Good luck sorting it out. Love the name for the business. I will go down a worm hole tomorrow researching
@Florenceem, amazing work, maybe if Mr F comes home before you have finished you can ask him not to go into certain rooms until you have made them safe for him. Don't forget to look after yourself as well as I think you will have your hands full when Mr F gets home until he has completed his recovery and can do everything for himself, hugs
Right, off to bed, hugs to anybody who would like one

Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did join DH in the garden 🙂 Half of the patio now properly cleaned; garden box returned to its proper spot; all bird feeders cleaned including the ones currently out on the stand which have been refilled; the 2 rhubarb planters have been cleaned & utilised as wood & kindling storage (freed up 2 plant pots which were original storage) (see photo re contents of box); empty plant pots corralled into a neat stack (photo 2) 👏 I have reattached labels to the dog & the large frog so Photos 3 & 4 are of the 6 cuddly toys that have been washed & dried & are fit to donate to the CS 🥳
Back to cheerleading now 😉
stellata, sounds like you & your friend enjoyed both the gardening & the lunch 😊 Well done on getting so much done 👏 but also well done on leaving the ‘wild bit’ for a later date 😉 Thinking about your friend’s suggestion of noise perhaps you can use a recording of frogs croaking & hide it in the wild bit 🤣 I think ‘nn’ has definitely earned his ‘nn’ moniker 😔 Hopefully lovely neighbour’s hedge trimming kept nn indoors 😉 Do you have a large male relative or male friend that you could wheel out when nn is harassing you 😉
roundtuit, I had to look up the Latin phrase 😅 Very appropriate 😊 Great decluttering 👏 & I like CuoD to distinguish from CoD 🙂
Siebrie, not sure of the appropriate response to decluttering “a 'fantasy-me': avid vegetable gardener!” 🤔 but I will award you a medal 🏅 in recognition of decluttering various bits’n’pieces but keeping the starter kit 👏 I am also awarding you a 2nd medal 🏅 for organising the overhead cabinets in the church kitchen 👏
Good work roundtuit 👏
Florenceem, sorry to hear that you have to re-wash your PVC ledges 😔 Sounds like the OT visit was a success 😊 Hopefully the 3 day timeline will be met & everything will be in place ready to welcome MrF home when he is fit enough to be discharged 😊 Pleased to hear that MrF is fine 😊Great decluttering 👏 & I hope the walk into town is pleasant & not too hot 🤞Hopefully the water company are just confirming receipt of the letter of authority 🤞
QueenJess, I have absolutely no doubt that you will come up with a solution for storage in DD’s room 😊 Excellent work sorting out the Lego 👏 & hopefully when you have implemented the changes in DS’s room you will not only discover the 2 missing pieces but will also have managed to persuade DS of the wisdom of selling/donating more of both his Lego & other toys 🤞Wow, the whole house apart from 2 rooms decluttered 👏 Please sit back & take at least a few minutes to contemplate & celebrate your successes 🙏 You are an inspiration to us all 🥹
roundtuit, I love it - The Grand Opening of the Cupboard of Doom 🥳 S should have known you wouldn’t tell porkies about how full it was 🤣 Could you get P to take everything out & shake each item to dislodge any spiders that might be lurking 😉 It already sounds like you will find several treasures in there 😊 Fingers crossed that one of them will be a purse/wallet full of tenners 🤞😉
Wednesday2000, excellent work 👏 not slow at all 😊
Siebrie, well done on making a start filling the 2 packing bins 👏 but sorry to hear that DH took it into his head to ‘be helpful’ 😖 thus making even more work for you 😡
I knew you would solve the conundrum of DS’s room, QueenJess 🥳 Sounds like you went back to basics & the solution presented itself almost immediately 👏
Great work on clearing most of the floor space around the CuoD, roundtuit 👏 I am getting excited for you 😆 Perhaps when you get DS to unblock the photo addition, you can then get him to assemble the bird table/planter item 😉
vulpix, perhaps you can try growing radishes (as long as you enjoy eating them, of course 😉) I cannot for the life of me grow carrots but radishes seem to love growing for me 😅 Good luck with both the new business GoatsRus & clearing out the Pantry of Doom 🍀
QueenJess, ‘that darned Lego’ is becoming the bane of your life 😔 However if anyone can get it all sorted out, it is you 👏 You might not be entirely satisfied with your current solution BUT when you have sold/donated some of it you will get a clearer picture of what DS has & whether or not the storage solution you are looking at will work 😉 By the way, I for one am not at all bored reading about the “trials & tribulations of Lego” & I agree with Floss’s comment “I think that expressing one's thoughts helps to clarify things, and it doesn't matter if that is by vocalising or writing” I am looking forward to reading ‘The Further Adventures of The Great Lego Reorganisation’ 🙂
Wednesday2000, yes Dilly did sort by colour with no regard to shape or size 😔 Seemed to me to be a complete waste of time 😂
Succinctly put Floss 👏
vulpix, that pantry is almost bigger than my kitchen 🤣 Don’t forget to tie a rope around the door handle so you can find your way back out again 😉
Floss, well done on earning some pennies for the coffers 👏 Good luck with the tidying 🍀 Great name for the goat venture “4-Legged Gardeners” could equally apply to sheep & pigs 😂
QueenJess, I would bet that the children who had their Lego sorted by colour were exactly like your DS 😉 Probably the first thing they did when Stacey’s team were gone was to tip out all the colours 🤣
Brie, great work decluttering ice from the freezer 👏 I am also debating making soup - just trying to convince myself that it isn’t an odd thing to do when the weather is so warm 😉 Shame that the display racks weren’t suitable for you but at least you tried to keep them from landfill 👏
Losing concentration now so will resume either later or tomorrow 😉 Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & chopped tomatoes. Wudupa.

Up at 5.30 today.
DGs J dropped off his gardening and painting equipment yesterday - on his way home from work. Just looked at weather forecast - 80% chance of rain at 8am! So that is going to mean that J can't start early as planned.
DDil sent me a text on Sunday asking if I could make a costume for DGd - for Thursday. Then I am told dress rehearsal is Wednesday. I spoke to Mr F about it yesterday morning and said that it will have to be no as I am so busy. However I don't like to disappoint my DGd - it isn't a run of the mill costume that can be easily bought. DGd is going to be a Fawn! I bought fabric when I was in town today - it will be a simple elasticated skirt - plus will glue circles of felt for spots. I bought some black PVC to have a go at making hooves and felt for a tail. Mr F will say that I am a softee. So after breakfast - I will be sewing rather than working on my second ROD.

Hi all,
@Florenceem that costume sounds great but a bit more notice would have been useful, I hope they appreciate it.
Take care everyone17 -
Well done @Florenceem - you are starting to see carpet. A bit behind with posting but have been reading along. Busy weekend with visitors etc but went out Sunday for lovely walk on the Yorkshire side of the Humber along the foreshore. Large paddling/swimming pool is proving worth its money as used nearly every day. Money spent on extras for cleaning etc and I had to buy a new and better pump so decluttered money. Going to dentist this morning in Cleethorpes (25 miles or so but I have NHS dentist) so I am instructed to look for some new blow ups for pool. DGD4 had her transition day at big school yesterday - she was very excited - I dropped her off nearby when she spotted some of her friends. Only one DGC left at primary school next year. DGS1 has the last of his A-levels this week and has an awful ear infection. He is coping but managed to get doctors appointment for tomorrow.
898 Plastic to recycling

902/903 Two x 10 items put away
904 Fridge cleaned out and a few bits had to be composted

@Florenceem you're a whirlwind at sorting and decluttering, in awe and hope you enjoy making the costume.
Some tidying up, 2 cards posted, 5 items returned and found donation hub will take dvd player. Giving mine and I'll take one from dad's house.
I have a table under the table ( both mine) and a sofa in front of the sofa ( one dd1s). Ploughing on with major frogs. Work v busy . Free site people not collected:(19 -
Spoke to the surgery yesterday and now have another hospital referral while the first ones going on. Feel a bit dazed this morning and the rain is here so that's put an end to the gardening for today. No work this week, I'd taken a few days off to get stuff done haha.Mrs SD no I don't have any convenient chaps to wheel in, sadly. Wish I did sometimes.Magnolia Stellata17
