@nannywindow - it’s truly shocking what your niece is suffering and must be so distressing for you all. I do hope that her prognosis improves and she can be helped to recover by her medical team.I washed my heated throw and packed it away in the blanket box. Rather than go shopping I tackled some of the things that needed using up in the fridge. Strawberry ice cream, a quiche and homemade butter made from all the cream that I had in. It all took much longer than I had anticipated, plus all the clearing up, so not much else was done. I have never made butter before but we are enjoying the results.17

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
A few more bits decluttered when tidying the kitchen.

Now back to cheerleading 🙂
~FlowerPot~, you have had a busy few days 😊 Fingers crossed that you get a good result from both the school & the LA 🤞Hope you enjoyed Saturday night’s Pet Shop Boys concert 😊 Well done selling a Lego set 👏 Good luck completing the other Lego sets 🍀 - I think you need to ‘channel’ QueenJess 😉
nannywindow, so sorry to hear about DNiece 😞 I am not usually one for prayer, but I will pray for her 🙏 What a dreadful thing to happen. Sending hugs to you & especially your DH.
Florenceem, sorry to hear that MrF was feeling down 🙁 Good luck with decluttering your RofD 🍀
vulpix, I will join you as a member of Liverpool_Anne’s posse & maybe Brie can give us the location of a few pigs & a python that we can take along 😂
stellata, like Liverpool_Anne I am absolutely outraged 😠 If he is that bothered why doesn’t he offer some assistance 🙄 Perhaps we ought to form a posse although I rather like Liverpool_Anne’s offer 😂Hope the finger has stopped hurting & the bruise isn’t too large 🤞I also hope the hospital appointment went well 😊 I think you would have well within your rights to have 2 glasses of 🍷
Absolutely love your offer Liverpool_Anne 👏😊 If you could make your hair look like you were dragged through a hedge backwards it might aid the illusion of a mad cousin or aunt 🤣
pollyanna_26, sorry to hear that you are still awaiting treatment for the rotator cuff tears & damaged ribs 😔 Lovely post & thanks for editing it to confirm it was nannywindow you were chatting with 😉Fingers crossed that you didn’t have a thunderstorm Saturday night into Sunday morning 🤞
Excellent decluttering short_bird especially the recycling 👏
Well said vulpix 👏 Sheriff Liverpool_Anne has 2 of us in her posse now 😉
Lovely post Brie 😊 I like the idea of pigs but the python in the long grass did make me snort with laughter 🤣 Excellent decluttering of art supplies 👏 & yippee to old water butt finally being claimed 🥳Enjoy the rain - 04:30 Sunday & we have some rain but so far no thunderstorm 🤞
Florenceem, sorry to hear that MrF was not answering his phone 😔 Maybe he had no charge 🤔 Also sorry to hear that the contents of the RofD are causing you problems 😔
stellata, very magnanimous of you - not sure I would be quite so ‘generous’ 😉 Perhaps I should send my ‘mad neighbour’ around 😂 Pleased to hear that, although you will be having more hospital tests, the doctor is so upbeat 😊
oceanspirit, I think you might be the 3rd member of Liverpool_Anne’s posse 😉 Much as it can be nice to holiday with a friend, I think you will enjoy a week in your own company without the ‘oppressive atmosphere’ of way too many clothing items cluttering the place & being able to sit at the breakfast table 😉 Your friend sounds like she enjoys ‘acquiring’ stuff not only for herself but also for others 😉It also sounds like ‘decluttering’ is not a concept she can understand 😔 One medal 🏅 (your 3rd) is on its way because you are decluttering even whilst on holiday 👏 Those of us who are sharing our homes with ‘reluctant’ declutterers live in hope that the lightbulb will come on fully rather than just flickering occasionally 🤞😅
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 I am not surprised that you felt cross with MrF for not answering his phone especially as he knows you are home alone 😔 Hope DGS J is visiting again soon so you have someone to chat to 🤞
Off to bed as I have just finished watching a Robert Mitchum film ‘Man in the Middle’ - interesting military courtroom drama 🤔

Believe it or not I did think of getting a goat, a friend of mine had garden goats and raved about them. I love the idea of delivering to the neighbour! Would freak him out as he's not an animal lover in fact I'd say he hates them.
Anyway today a friend is coming over and we're going to tidy the garden a bit, nothing to do with neighbour complaining as we planned it before that, but we'll make sure to keep to the bit furthest from the bit he's complaining about as I wouldn't want neighbour thinking his rudeness had worked.I've always said next house move I'd like to be properly rural and have no neighbours, think that's a definite now.Magnolia Stellata19 -
Up at 5.40 - been raining here.
I put 2 items on Freegle yesterday - both were collected.
I am going to take a photo of wip in the ROD - might encourage me.
I have 3 areas in the house left to declutter - 3 RODs. The one I am working on was our bedroom before I turned it into my craft room. Now I have my craft room downstairs - it is meant to be our lounge. I have new furniture in there plus 3 doors that need to be hung +...... So my plan is to get as much done in that ROD as I can and then move onto the next ROD - my craft room. The other ROD is the smallest bedroom - my craft storage room - I need to practically empty this room to get sorting in there.
So I am going to be working on the ROD today and tomorrow - then move stuff out of my craft room into that room so I can deal with the 2nd ROD. When I get the second ROD done - I will then concentrate on my last ROD - I need a cunning plan as I am determined not to give up this decluttering journey.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning All, very humid here and did not sleep the best between OH tossing and turning,my leg hurting and DD waking me at 5:15am! I will be taking it easy today.
@nannywindow sorry to hear what your niece is going through. Hope you've had an update on her condition and she continues to improve.
DD has decided to declutter her Doll's house but wants to keep the contents. Have someone collecting it tomorrow.
Off now to finish icing cakes that we have made for family members for fathers day instead of buying gifts.

Having a break as my back is hurting. Just had a mini milk ice lolly- decluttering & cleaning makes you hot. I found a bank book in the ROD this morning.
DGs J has just been round to carry a heavy chair from the ROD - downstairs for Mr F to use. It has arms to help him get up but is not high so I will have to load it with cushions. I will see what the OT says tomorrow - she may suggest the raising pods that they have in hospital and care homes.
DGs J is coming here on Tuesday to strim my front grass and tidy the back garden plus do some exterior painting.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi all,
@Florenceem I have craft room envy. I think I would sort the living room RoD first so you have somewhere you and Mr F can sit and relax. Can you get someone handy to hang the doors? Then I would organise the craft store room. You will probably have to move things into the craft room temporarily but then as you put them back you can sort as you go. I am not sure what crafts you do, I do know you like to make cards but I am sure you do lots of other things as well, so maybe organise by craft, card things together and yarn together etc. Anything you use regularly I would keep in the craft room and things like a sewing machine I would also keep set up and ready to use, they are too heavy to be moved around every time you want to use them. I have no idea what storage you have in either room but I think it needs to be easily accessible. I am always getting fed up with myself if I have to move boxes or bags to get the things I want. I have complete faith in your ability to get rid of stuff you won't use but I really do know how hard it is to do with craft stuff. I can always think of something I could do with things but I now look at things and ask myself if I could easily get another one when I want to do that particular project rather than keep it for justin. Maybe there is a school or summer craft club that you can give stuff to so you know things will be used if you feel you can't just bin them. I have lots of things I want to try craftwise but I have told myself that until I have sorted the space it isn't going to be possible so nothing else is being kept or brought in except if I need it immediately for a project I am actually working on. You have done so well you are truly inspirational and I know you are going to do this. I look forward to seeing the photos of your craft room
Take care everyone17 -
Morning all DNiece had a bit more of her leg removed on Friday and they are now happy that they have got all the infection. They will start bringing her out of the induced coma and finally she can then start her long recovery 🤞 Thank you all for your support, it is much appreciated 💜
I spent the day yesterday doing a lot of cleaning and a bit of washing. Today Dad will come over for his lunch and tea and he'll keep us entertained with his skewed take on everything in the news, then DD will come over later to see DH. If the DGC tag along they will probably empty the fridge/ biscuit tin/cake tin or all 3 😂
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need, my hug bucket has been replenished this morning.

Deni, I hope it stays fine for you in Eyam today.Liverpool Anne, no goat has appeared here yet! Every time Mr V goes to the pub, when gardeners world and sewing bee is on I tell him not to come home unless he has a goat with him. Goaty boy is in much demand and has a waiting list of clients needing their gardens eating. 🐐
nanny w, your poor niece,❤️
stellata, I hope you have a lovely day.Florenceem, I am in awe of you. You have moved mountains in a couple of months. Only 3 rooms to do. Liverpool_Anne - I need to do the craft room ROD next after I finish the present ROD as it will make me feel good. It is the first room that you see when entering the house. Plus I so want to craft - it will encourage me. I will move stuff from the craft room up to the new lounge - to be - while I sort and clean.
I make cards and sew plus knit and crochet plus papercraft. My sewing machines are in my craft room.
I have lots of big plastic storage crates in the craft storage room + a built in wardrobe.
In my craft room - I have 2 corner units and a book shelf + a cupboard unit with shelves above. Also have a unit which had a former life as a glass cabinet. Then there are 5 other shelving units of 2 different sizes. I also have 4 sets of rainbow drawers and a craft trolley - all from Hobbycraf. You will see when I have finished and taken photos.
I have a friend who hung the other doors in the house so will be asking him if he can do the job.
Back from Church - lots of people saying about how much weight I have lost - my uniform is too big for me now.
Going to get changed and have some lunch.
I have asked DGs J to come here on Thursday to push my heavy full black bin up the sloping drive.
