1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday is already sunnier than yesterday - already 23C. DH was up by 09:00 & watching the first of the races - Moto3 which was just finishing as I got up at 10:30. I have my first cuppa & thought I might try a little more cheerleading before I nod off 😉
leftatthetrafficlights, thank you for sharing your history 👏 I think that you are the 4th member of the posse & should immediately be deputy sheriff 😉 The suggestion for stellata to give her ndn a contract to sort her garden himself had me in stitches 🤣 I also loved reading about the outcome of your neighbour’s attempted bullying of you 🥳 I bet the new owner/s didn’t give 2 hoots about whatever had caused him to think that he & his friend could bully you🤞Sadly it leaves a bad taste when any neighbour thinks than can bully anyone or even wander the street yelling & swearing at their neighbours for just looking after their own properties 😠😖
Muddy_Walker, pleased to hear that your visit to NEC Gardeners World show was both enjoyable & successful 😊👏
Lovely thoughtful post nannywindow 😊 DNiece is in my prayers & I hope that there is some better news after her latest operation. Very pleased to hear that your car is now safe to drive 😊 Fingers crossed that the scrappy man makes an appearance & that the bin men don’t mind too much about all the cardboard 🤞
Blue_Doggy, I love your weekly reports 😊 Great idea to keep a sort of journal in iPad Notes 👏 far more organised than I am - I just write on scraps of paper 🥲 What a very busy week you have had & so many tasks & so much decluttering & tidying done 👏 I rather liked the note to yourself “plant more money trees…” but do make sure they are planted in the back garden 😉 Now that the trees & bushes are fighting back, I hope you can find a reputable & reasonably priced gardener 🤞One Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for all your hard work 😊
Lovely supportive post Deni_debt-free_dreamer 😊 Hope you enjoy your trip to Eyam 🤞 Well done to DD1 for selling more of your clothes on V*nted - space in your wardrobe & pennies in your coffers - win, win 👏 Hopefully you have managed to find an extra book to complete your Z*ffit box & that will result in another win, win 🤞Not sure ‘frustrated’ would have been my word of choice - you took the time to explain exactly what you were donating so the CS should have honoured their commitment 😖Hopefully the next CS will be more obliging 🤞
Floss, you live in a beautiful part of the country & Cheshire has some interesting place names 😊
Lovely supportive post TC77 👏
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like a relaxing Saturday & it was obviously very good for you as you have come up with a genius idea to deal with stellata’s ‘nasty neighbour’ 🥳 I had tears of laughter 😂 streaming down my face at the vision of ‘nn’ accepting delivery of a goat especially if you can throw in some comment purportedly from stellata about him being such a lovely & helpful neighbour 🤣 together with a comment about him hopefully being around to accept delivery of the cockerel & chickens once stellata’s garden was tidied a bit 😂
Moorviews what a delicious use of fridge contents 😋
stellata, good for you 👏 Hopefully you & your friend have a very successful day in your garden & only the bit nn is complaining about is left - at which point you can inform him that it is your bit of wilderness garden & your contribution to helping Mother Nature recover from the ravages of mankind 😉 Properly rural area with one really nice neighbour about a mile away 😉
Florenceem, sounds like a really good plan 👏 and you are definitely sounding more positive than yesterday 😊 Please, please make sure that you do NOT do any heavy lifting 🙏
Fizz2015, not a very restful night then - taking it easy today is your only option 😊 Well done to your DD for releasing her dolls house to a new home 👏 Hopefully she has a nice container to keep all the contents 🤞Lovely idea to make cakes rather than buying gifts for Fathers Day 😊 no clutter 😅
Florenceem, insert ‘wagging finger emoji’ here 😔 Please, please take care of your back 🙏 Pleased to hear that DGS J has carried the chair downstairs 🙂 Good luck with tomorrow’s physiotherapist visit 🍀Nice to know that DGS J will be visiting you on Tuesday & tackling various jobs - someone to chat with 😊
Liverpool_Anne, I am joining you in the “craft room envy club” 😉 Some excellent ideas/suggestions for Florenceem 😊 I will also join you in the “Florenceem is truly Inspirational Fan Club” 👏 Well done to you for being strong & resisting the lure of new crafts until your crafting room/area has been sorted out 👏
nannywindow, good news that the doctors think that they have got rid of all DNiece’s infection - what a relief 😥 Many good wishes being sent that DNiece’s recovery will be pain free albeit a long process of recovery ❤️🩹 You had a busy Saturday 👏 Sounds like your Dad is what is described as either an ‘observational comedian’ or an ‘alternative comedian’ 😉😅 Hope the DGC don’t eat you out of house & home if they do pop in for a visit 😉
vulpix, sorry to hear that MrV is being remiss in returning home without a goat 😉🙃 Lovely cheerleading post 😊 I hope MrV didn’t injure himself when dropping the printer 🤞Although it sounds like he will have to raid his piggy bank to fund a new one 😔 Excellent decluttering (apart from the printer 😔) 👏
Florenceem, now that you have described your craft room & craft storage room, my envy knows no bounds 😅😉 Fingers crossed that your friend will be available, soon, to hang the 3 doors 🤞Not sure how to comment on your weight loss 🤨 although it sounds like it might be a bit too much lost weight 😔 Please, please try to fit breakfast, lunch & tea/dinner into your schedule Every day, not just once in a while 🙏 Pleased to hear that you are enlisting DGS J’s help to move the wheelie bin 👏
Managed to stay awake long enough to catch up on the cheerleading 😉 Not particularly sunny now but the temperature has climbed to 26C.
See everyone later when I hope to have either decluttering or tasks done to report 🤞
Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday 😊

Florenceem are you moving your living room upstairs for Mr F? It might not be the most appropriate long-term solution - if he doesn't need to do stairs he may decide he isn't going out any more and will lose essential muscle tone & stamina... maybe speak to the Occupational Therapy team when they come to assess your home about your plans.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Floss - no not moving it upstairs for Mr F - it was always going to be done - just hadn't happened. I think the room will only get used when we have visitors.
Mr F will want to get out and about so no worry there - he doesn't like a day to go by without fresh air and exercise.
Chatted to Mr F just now - he is more positive today. Hard to think it is 10 weeks today that he went by ambulance to hospital.

Hard to believe it is still hotter there than in Southern California. It did warm up a bit yesterday and was sunny for our book sale (made $366, even with giving a lot away including hundreds of children's books and looks of VHS tapes and craft magazines). But it is going back down again with grey skies for the rest of the week. No rain predicted though so I will need to water.
I don't have a RoD. I have a House of Doom. Every room needs work fast. Now that my eye surgery is done and this month's book sale is finished, it is full on spring cleaning - before summer gets here. Then we will have summer cleaning followed by fall cleaning if we haven't gotten anywhere I guess.
So far, mainly just keeping up with things - trash out weekly, empty containers binned, trying to keep up with cleaning the refrigerator. With 5 people cooking separately because of schedules and likes and dislikes, things get a bit muddled in there.
So basically just keeping up with things and not making any progress yet. Tomorrow is a Federal holiday here (no mail, banks closed) but public library open, so we will go in and clean up a bit. But rest of week will be working on the living room.
Hope things are looking up for everyone. Enjoy the overly warm weather while it lasts. We're still waiting to get some.17 -
DBro has had a mini sort out of one crate of stuff (after vigorous encouragement). As he was going through it it did say ‘oh I didn’t realise I had so many of these’. I resisted muttering something along the lines of ‘no poop Sherlock’….. Anyway he’s halved them and as I and DSis were heading into town anyway we took some of the bits with us. The light bits as we were walking. I’ve left the heavy bits for DBro to take later this week.I started having a sort out yesterday then completely forgot I had plans with friends until one turned up to pick me up! Ended up staying out and rolling into bed at nearly 1am and still have to finish the sort out. The sort out finishing was also derailed by only having 4 hours sleep! I had to have an afternoon nap to catch up!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Popping by and trying to catch up with the last 90 odd posts.
Sorry to hear about your niece @nannywindow. Its amazing what they can do with even those sort of horrific wounds nowadays. Positive thoughts to her and your family.
Hugs r.e ashes scattering @vulpix. Congrats on the weight loss.
Big hugs for health and horrible neighbour @stellata . Loving the suggestions for dealing with neighbour.

Amazing work one and all. No matter how small each item makes a difference.
This last few weeks I have been helping DiL with mount washmore. She and DS3 are clearly not coping with 2 children and no where to dry more than a short line of washing. I visited few weeks ago and the floors in all the rooms were covered in clutter and clothes and there were 5 bags for life stacked in the kitchen. Plus they don't do housework if they can help it. Neither do i if I can help it so I get it, but this was so bad there was no free floor and they have cats and an 18 month old walking around.
Anyhow. I offered and MiL joined in and between us we are about halfway through the clothes. Washing, drying and sorting. I have kept bag two bags for life of clothes that are too small for the baby. I have chucked some very soiled items and repaired others. Not sure if they get put away when they are returned.
I am not counting these but they are taking time and energy. I have been very thankful for the hot weather and solare power for very cheap washing and drying.
This week I finally finished a crocheting a blanket I made for DD boyfriend in Canada. He chose the colours and aimed for what he requested. Think sunset over the sea.
DD is heading over there at the end of the month buit it is hot there so it won't get immediate use.
I have started the next blankets one each or 1 DB and DSis but am using up my stash.
Finally I got gave of a massive pile of cardboard to DS1 for his allotment yesterday. I am counting as 1 large item.

After waking up incredibly late today 😳 I did a couple of hours pottering, not much but enough! It is a bit cooler this evening but poor dog2 is really struggling so might take the clippers to his ears. They are long and very heavy with fur bless him.
I promised a couple of photos didn’t I! Oh and we have a proper summer this year….3 months of sun, mid-high 20C temperatures, with the odd spike of 28 to 30 now and then. Lovely for the majority of people - not me so much - but at least it is summer not grey drizzle…..🤔⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
