Nannywindow That is completely shocking news about your niece. Huge hugs for you all.It was emotional yesterday scattering MIL’s ashes. More so for me than the funeral.Brie, fluffy cat in the shade was me attempting humour. 😉
Mr V has been up at 4, been to work and home again and I have just woken up. It is raining and I have left a line of washing out!
A few more bits to declare. I keep saying it but I am shocked by how much I can still find to leave the premises. I have been decluttering for about 10 years. I imagine we have about 1/10th of what we used to have. It helps massively to have decluttered 3 children in that time! There is though stuff like Lego still in the loft. The loft that was to have nothing in at this new house! I have a list of what is up there.Next year, yes I realise I need to keep myself accountable forever!!!! I will record outs and ins. I suspect I bring more in than I am aware of. Quite a bit has come in recently for our cruise. Though the majority is new to us. Evening dresses are very inexpensive second hand. I don’t know why people pay hundreds for something to wear once.I need to get back on the weight loss wagon. Lost 17lbs so far. A drop in the ocean. This time in 2 weeks bit by bit and I will be in the Shetland Islands. ❤️

Hi all, slept like a log last night and am still lounging drinking tea. It is warm today with blanket cloud cover so much better.
@stellata I am outraged for you. If anyone dared to complain about the state of my garden, and truthfully they would be justified, I would tell them to "go away" as it is my garden and I would have it any way I wanted. He's just a bullying control freak. How dare he? Do you want me to come and deal with him? You could tell him I am a mad cousin or aunt or something
. Then if the problem arises in the future you could drop me into the conversation as possibly visiting next week
Hugs
Well I am having another cuppa and going to think about doing something
Take care everyone

Sending positive vibes for a full recovery for your niece So worrying for you and Mr Fixit. I haven;t been online much myself still waitng ffor the treatment for the rotator cuff tears and rib damage. I've had the scans but still in a queue for treatment like so many others. It seemed odd not to see a post from you so assumed you may have gone for a caravan jaunt.I thought of you yesterday morning when I brought the milk in. There was lovely waft of scent from the honeysuckle and it reminded me you love honeysuckle too.We had some thunder and lightning and more forecast. . DavidTennant and your Mikey Sheen have filmed a new series of Staged. Hopefully hair and beards will be less lockdown now. They've also finished filming the next Good Omens.it will be interesting to see if the good angel can finally tame the totally bonkers bad angel.it still makes me laugh every time I picture DT the baddie driving his car through flames.By the way if you ever get within touching distance of Mikeys lovely Welsh fireplaceI I've had my eye on that since they had to film Stagedf from their own homes during lockdowns. You could take along some of your lovely homemade cakes and distract him from the pickaxe in your shopping trolley. I hope all is well soon with your niece and mr Fixit can be less anxious. Take care of yourself/pollyxxhad to pop back and edit my post Nan. Spelling mistakes and didn't mention your name.If we have another storm tonight I swear I'll scream .Two totally sleepless nights and the outlook isn't looking good in the forecast.BTW The pickaxe in your shopping trolly is for fireplace removal not for your cakes. I know you bake lovely cakes so wanted to make sure you didn't think I was casting . nastursums as my grandson used to say such a relief when they grow up and you can take them out in public.pollyxxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.17 -

Stellata hugs. Well said Liverpool Anne. I hate injustice. What makes people have the arrogance to think they can inflict their opinions on others. It’s horrible to be on the receiving end of such a dreadful person’s arrogance. It says a lot more about him than you. I will swoop in with Liverpool Anne to give him an ear bashing. ❤️❤️❤️:17

Nannywindow - big hugs directed to family and niece in particular.
Liverpool_Anne - you'll be way north still compared to me on the outskirts of Bournemouth! It'd be a long waddle for the old dacher!!
stellata - seethingly trying to think of a good response to rude neighbour. Maybe tell him not to worry as the flock of pigs you're bringing in with be digging it over right nicely. Or that you don't dare cut the grass since your python escaped into the back garden.
vulpix - all cats are welcome as far as I'm concerned.
The rest of the plastic frames decluttered today to my fellow arty types in the monthly painting class. And the few bits that remained after class were gratefully received by the admin for the community hall where the class was held. Water butt was picked up yesterday and I'm still waiting for rain to fill up the new one I hooked up last week. Hoping that now it's music festival time the skies will open up. Brie - rain is forecast here for tomorrow - thunderstorms. We had a spell of rain this afternoon - just enough to encourage the weeds.
Tried to phone Mr F twice this afternoon - not answering. I will send him an email.

Thanks for the support, it made me smile especially the bit about pigs and pythons. And the offers to come round and have it out with him, that'd be a shock for him! Neighbour has always been rude and I was warned by previous people when I moved in that he thinks he's in charge and can comment on everyone else's house and garden, so I'm trying not to take it personally.Hospital appt done, everyone there was so kind, I have to go back in a couple of weeks for more tests apparently but the doc seemed very upbeat so I'm going to try not to worry. I'm pretty much never ill and have been very healthy so hospitals aren't my home ground thank goodness. Anyway I feel better now they've got the ball rolling. Have got home and put my feet up with a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers.Magnolia Stellata17

Nannywindow, sending healing vibes for your niece and look forward to hearing from you that she has fought off the infection.
Stellata, I am with Liverpool Anne. If your neighbour doesn't like the state of your garden, surely the kind thing to do would be to offer to help you sort it out. But it really is none of his business.
Friend has gone home and I am still in holiday place alone. I have another week here and it is heaven. Have found a lovely clothes shop and am going back on Monday to try on a few things for a wedding. Friend spotted an animal charity shop so will drop off a few dvds, tops and a book that don't need to come home with me.
Friend is a hoarder. She denies this. The entire time she was with me, the place was cluttered. I couldn't sit and eat my breakfast with her yesterday morning because the dining table was so full of stuff and it did not register with her at all as to why I had mine later.
She had just as much wardrobe and drawer space as me yet clothes and towels were hanging off the outside of her bedroom door and the spare bed in her room covered in neat piles. I have loved her company but I am so relieved that her stuff has gone.
She also brought stuff with her to give me - clothing catalogues, theatre brochures etc which went in recycling as soon as she left, and a few gifts to thank me for inviting her on holiday. I can use the bag, but the heavy marble box which she bought after I had explained that I am massively decluttering at home, is not something I have room for. Admittedly it is very beautiful but I just don't know what to do with it. She will remember she has given it to me as she bought one for herself too so I will have to keep it for a while.
I feel for those of you who are living with partners and family who are not on board with decluttering. Fingers crossed that eventually they will see the light and join you in living a simpler life.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅21
