Evening All, OH came back from working away earlier than expected which is nice. So squeezed in a trip to supermarket for essentials and some shorts & pj's accidental fell in the trolley. Well with 25% off would be rude not too!!
Decluttered a car seat that DD says is uncomfortable and doesn't like. Put it on local free site and collected within the hour. Will need to replace when I buy a new to me car.
Plus got rid of 3 bags of soft plastics. Shocking how much we get through.17 -
Managed to somehow do lots more. I walked downstairs to get a sandwich earlier and found 3 things to get rid of on the way! The good news is that DH has rearranged his wardrobe and drawers the way I said and is amazed how much better it is and that he can see everything at a glance. Honestly… it really wasn’t rocket science 🙄😂 He even managed to get rid of 13 things, which isn’t huge, but very good progress for him. I’m counting them as my own as I felt the pain of the decluttering and I have to organise packing them up etc. I’ve asked him to sort out his socks next as I know he has loads with holes in.
So many things lying around I’m sure.. I keep seeing them everywhere in every room and whenever I open a cupboard/drawer etc. It’s hard to know where to go next! I am working hard on making sure my bedroom is clear every night though, so I always have a relaxing room.Digital:

Hi all, well I tried to get some garden done but twas twot
. I am seriously flagging now due to lack of proper sleep and the heat. I remembered I had a meeting this afternoon just in time to get ready, but I had to iron something to wear which was a bit of a pain. Meeting was really good but very hot but the bonus was I got my tea so that was a win.
I got home after 7 and had to get changed, twot, and went for a gentle potter in the garden, a few weeds pulled and pots watered and then just sat with a cold drink.
I tried to do some email deleting but the laptop kept shutting down, I seem to remember having similar problems last year when it was warm and have come to the conclusion it is over heating. I might have to invest in a fan to try to keep it cool or I might just invest in a new laptop. When I chatted to OH about it the reply was you have been talking about getting a new one for the past 3 years and when I thought about it I have
The footy fixtures were out today so they have been put in my diary and a problem has been solved. My sister is off to the Caribbean for her 80th in November but was dithering about her old dog, I will be able to go down to Dorset to dog sit for her which will put her mind at rest and might get me some brownie points, (provided he's still alive). The holiday also solves the present dilemma as I can just give her some currency to spend while she is there
. Win win
Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for lunch and I have requested we go somewhere where I can either sit in the shade or somewhere there is a good breeze, hopefully both as we will be near the coast on the Wirral, otherwise I just might have to throw myself in the water to cool down
@Mrs SD not sure how many twirlies manage to get on the bus but they got the name from the bus drivers saying "you're twirly"
Hugs to everyone who would like one
836 ironing, claiming as I hate it and it was totally the wrong time of day to do it
837 fixtures put in diary
Take care everyone
837/2023 falling way behind with my target so will have to catch up soon.18 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
My 2nd drink turned into 3, 4, 5 & 6 drinks & all I did was watch TV 😉 At least I have a bit more space on my planner 😉 DH was quite busy - cleared out & cleaned the insides of the motorbike top box & panniers. Then sorted out a small issue with the top box latches which took longer than expected. All sorted whilst the issue was still a tadpole - at my insistence 😉 & DH rather pleased that he has done the work within 2 days of noticing the problem 😊
Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise with enough meat sauce lo to have again 🙂 Wudupa
1463 - 1465 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled

Fizz2015, well done on resting the leg 😊 Good luck with the ironing 🍀
Excellent work cleaning & sorting kitchen cupboards Dfw38 👏 Hope you & DS managed some fun time 🤞Congratulations on the blood test results 🥳
Crazycatlady2, no sin to buy plants 😉 Looking forward to seeing a photo when your garden is in full bloom 😊 Well done on getting rid of empty boxes especially as they take up so much room 👏
Soontobeoap, Excellent work in your craft cabin before it got twot 👏 Lots of extra space once the “dump run” has taken place 🙂
Brie, loving the addition of two (🤣) more TW words. I have heard of & used Twonk but never twiglet 😉 Brie, I think the person at the surgery should be designated ‘twonk’ as seems to be slightly stronger than ‘twiglet’ 🤞What a ridiculous waste of both your time & theirs 😔
QueenJess, I was never able to do 2 things at once, I always had to concentrate when on a listen only call 😉 So I admire your skills 👏 As to your DH & his moaning about sorting his wardrobe - I am very disappointed in him 😔 & add to that you saying that he is not completing the list you gave him, I might just have to put him on the naughty step wearing a sign that says “I Must Do Better” I seem to remember not too long ago he had been quite helpful & if he had kept up the good work he was in line for a gold star 😉 Oh well, he will just have to start again 😂 I quite like Brie’s idea 👏 but think I might go one step further & bag up all the clothing on the floor & remark to your DH that if it is on the floor he obviously wants it gone & that you are very impressed at how much he is getting rid of 😉 It might concentrate his mind 🤣
Great idea Brie 👏
QueenJess, I remember you saying previously that DH does get rid of bagged stuff quickly when it is in his room. Perhaps you should designate his room as the dumping ground rather than your library 😉 Re his desire to rope you into decluttering his clothes, perhaps you could make a notice with the three questions & stick it up somewhere prominent as it sounds like DH has a memory like a sieve 😉🥲 It is a good sign that he asked you to order some more charity bags though 🤞Good luck with your new plan for tackling the library 🍀 If I were your DH I would be a bit worried about sitting too long in case you bag him up & declutter him 🙃I am only joking …………. or am I 🤣
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear that you aren’t sleeping well if at all 😔 I will send Mr Sandman your way & a fairy to sprinkle you with dream dust 😊
TC77, I think that is an excellent idea 😊 A library is definitely preferable to an office 😉 I hope you managed to sort out all your card cancellations etc re your stolen wallet 🤞
Florenceem, that is a beautiful garage door 🤩 I have garage door envy 😉 The chaps were obviously very efficient as it only took them 3.5 hours 👏 I couldn’t help but notice all that space in your garage 🤩 Lovely to hear that MrF is still making progress even though he is not confident with a walking stick just yet. There is definitely an art to using walking sticks. Pleased to hear that you are finally getting a visit to assess what equipment is needed for MrF when he comes home & also that MrF will not be sent home until it is safe to do so 😊 Excellent work cleaning the PVC 👏
florianatwobob, well done on finishing a book off the TBR pile 👏
Excellent decluttering Fizz2015 👏 How lovely that OH got home earlier than expected 😊
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 Your DH obviously felt guilty about all his previous moaning & wanted to please you 😉 So well done to your DH for following your suggestions & reaping the benefits 👏 I definitely think you should count the items in your numbers probably as double 😉 Excellent work keeping your bedroom tidy - you deserve a calm haven 👏😊
Liverpool_Anne, I really do think you should treat yourself to a new laptop 😊especially as you have been talking about it for 3 years 😉 Well done on keeping your numbers ticking over 👏Hopefully once the weather stops being twot you can catch up with your numbers 🤞
Off to bed now & hopefully it is is not twot to sleep 🤞

Good morning busy bees! Nothing to add to my lists yet. Another drawer in tge bedroom emptied and I think it's about 21 items on the sofa waiting to be bagged up (curtains, duvet sets, sheets, pillowcases) and a very small pile to go back in the drawer. Wednesday was mostly spent in the garden as DH had concrete plinths delivered and my nephew and future son in law came to help on the garden so I sat out with DD1 and DGD.
Yesterday DH was in agony so no gardening was done but he dismantled the trampoline while I fetched a new surround and mat with DD1 and then he put it all back together. It's now safe for DGD to use and we have the old surround/mat waiting for the skip.
Today id DD1 birthday and we are pup sitting while they go to the zoo, will try to get a picture. I really need to clean and tidy the lounge as my dad and his partner may come through today as she usually makes all the kids a birthday cake and they'llprobablydrop it here if DD1 isn't home. It'd definitely been neglected in here.
Right better go give DD3 a push on getting ready for school and make a start.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Got up this morning and put 3 cardboard boxes in my library, neatly lined up against the wall. Then I organised things in them for sell, donate and buy nothing. It looks so much better already and now I can see the things I need to sort out.
The tidying and decluttering can now continue!
Edit: DH just took the charity stuff of his own accord and even thought to take the glass recycling at the same time! I did warn him that as he’s going out later, he might come home to find half our house decluttered 😂. He said “You’re getting rid of more?”, quite surprised. I’ve barely started!2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Husband had 2 large containers delivered (they formerly contained 220l of capers
). They are now in our little office, and I will fill them over the coming 2 months, to be sent to Africa when full.
Then we will fill the office with the large stuff we have in storage at next door neighbours'.I think I need a bloodcheck; I'm constantly sluggish and can't think things through properly, so important stuff is disorganised, for instance dinners and playdates.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5920 -
Planning to have a relaxing lunch before I get on with my work for the afternoon. Finally I have finished the stuff I was waylaid on and can start all the stuff I need to get on with.I also opened the memory boxes and completed the whole one for DS. I will do the one for DD later and then figure out which cupboard I want to store them in and put them away. It was actually quite easy and nice not to have the stuff all round my room. DH came in whilst I was putting the sticker on the top and was excited about it - he asked if he can look through it as well!2nd load of washing already on for today. I might be very slowly climbing out of this never ending pile of stuff to do, or at least I do feel slightly less stressed about it all. Still got some urgent things to attend to later though.Digital:

Took unwanted clothes back to Primarni and then went for my blood test.
Stopped at shopping centre on the way home to get oven liners and paint for DGs J.
