I was planning a good week, had booked a day off work to get the house clean, then had a (what I thought was) routine phone chat with GP surgery and ended up with a 2 week urgent referral. I'm sure it will be fine but still a bit worried somehow it'll mess up my holiday later in the summer. And the original thing I contacted surgery about is still no further on. I couldn't sleep unsurprisingly so the washing's already done and am about to hang it out while it's sunny.Magnolia Stellata16

Decluttered some work last night I was under intense pressure to deliver by emailing my boss to explain why it can't be done in time and went to bed. At least I woke up this morning with my headache gone, so perhaps it was stress related?More clearing/tidying of the bedroom is on the cards for today and trying to relieve some of the pressure on the library with the piles of stuff everywhere (although if I randomly am inspired elsewhere then I won't fight it!). I have more people picking up stuff today (everything I put out yesterday was picked up). I think I've been through almost everything in the bedroom bar the stuff lying around the floor, but I will be double checking it all in case. I've also been leaving my wardrobe door open (it's a sliding one), so I'm forced to see it every time that I walk past and can keep considering if there is more to go in there. An investigation of the messy side in the bedroom yesterday revealed I had a return to make. I requested it and packaged it up to go - just need to drop it into the post office. I also found 3 pairs of blue jeans and I'm genuinely shocked as I was certain I only had 2 pairs. That other pair I had forgotten about as it had been on the floor for so long it melded into something normal. Anyway, 2 of them need sewing up, but I'm trying to consider if I need/want all of them before I do that. I do like to live in jeans in cooler weather so would want 2 pairs minimum. I'm definitely getting down to the last 5% of stuff which does seem to take a longer time than the other 95%. I'm determined to keep at it until it is completely tidied and then start another area.DS cleared his clothes yesterday and was pretty ruthless. He even decided to get rid of two Lego sets, but sadly it means I'm going to have to find all the pieces first
Another job for me.

Woke early like others with stuff on my mind. Few email frogs moved along and others added to my to do list.

I decluttered an orthodontist appointment with dd1. The dentist had concluded she had a small overbite and suggested a second opinion on the severity and possible correction. The orthodontist agreed with the very small overbite, but told us the problem was the lower jaw, that it was hardly there, that dd1 would need a jaw operation to move the chin forward, and then would still need both lower as well as upper correctors. He couldn't give a proper answer to my question if the current situation would grow worse, and if it would impede her chewing and biting later on in life.We have 24 months to think; but I think we won't 'correct' anything. She has a chin, and an absolutely gorgeous smile. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5920

@Siebrie I have an over bite. There was talk of a similar operation to lower jaw when I was 14-15. Ended up having some top teeth out on 15th birthday and full block braces and the lovely elastics bands too. It's never affected me or how I eat or my life too be honest.
Already melting today, its do sticky and humid. We've had no thunderstorms either to clear the air. The office has lovely aircon but can't walk far on my leg at the moment.16 -
Love the garden pics. Muddy walker are you by chance Welsh? I love your dragon collection.TC77 I think that was very decent of your ex to return your things. If it were me I would have binned them long ago!
Stellata I hope your mind is soon put to rest. ❤️
still twot here. Not had any rain and none on the horizon. I don’t water the garden but do water pots about every 4th day. I am so glad I only have about 20 these days.Another sweep of the house resulted in more to go. I am about to try some clothes on to see their fate.15 books

Popped to SA and been shopping - well stocked on ice cream and ice lollies now. I treated myself to a punnet of wonky strawberries. Kent strawberries are the best - just had some with creamy vanilla ice cream - bliss!
Spoke to Mr F - he is still using a zimmer frame - they plan to get him using 2 sticks then one and hopefully no stick. I haven't heard about a stair rail yet - I am not having him home until he is safe on stairs. They have him practise on a set of 4 stairs with handrails each side - we have 8 stairs up with one hand rail then 2 stairs at the turn and another 3 stairs.
Been moving more food stash from ROD to the garage - not sure if I will need to buy more containers.
Photo - only about a tenth of amount.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday is another hot sunny day, already 22C at 10:00 a.m. 🥵 Just seen 2 starlings in my front garden 👏 - haven’t seen any for several years 😔 DSis put in a brief appearance before returning to her room 😉
Excellent work sorting & cleaning leftatthetrafficlights 👏
Excellent work sorting out your art stuff & art books Brie 👏 Really interesting artwork - my favourite having had a quick look is Above The Gravel Pit - the sky is so fluid.
Well done on dealing with frogs Dfw38 👏 & Excellent decluttering 👏 My Kallax unit is in our bedroom - same colour as well 😉
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 and thank you so much for the thought processes behind each item decluttered 👏 very helpful 😊
Dfw38, I think Kallax is the shelving unit of choice of many of us 😉
Loving the conversation between Dfw38 & QueenJess about memory boxes 😊
Florenceem, sounds like you had good value from your electrician 😉 Maybe the garage door man will be able to fit the oven door catch 🤞
Excellent decluttering roundtuit 👏
Floss, now that is what I call an extended life for your Kallax unit 👏
vulpix, getting really exciting now 😊 At least you are almost ready for your cruise 😉 Very practical of DD1 🙂 Did you keep it 😉
Excellent work on the front boundary, GrannyKate & great decluttering 👏 Lovely photos 🙂 Hope you enjoyed sitting in your pool 😊
short_bird, I see another vote for Kallax 😉
Floss, I was thinking what a huge bin store you had 😉 but 2x2 makes more sense 😉
Excellent work Fizz2015 👏 With 1520/2023 there are 3 Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ on their way to you 😊
Dfw38 at least the Kallax is getting plenty of use before it moves to its forever home 😉
2Scratters yippee to filled water butts 🥳 & very clever of DH to rig up an overflow system 👏 I am going the same route as you - duvet cover only 🥵
Sounds like a good team of siblings when it eventually comes to the big declutter of your parent’s house - although it does seem that you will bear the brunt of the responsibility 😔
Florenceem, yesterday was not a day to be sitting on a bus 😥 It seems that wherever you sit the sun always ‘gets’ you 🥵 Sorry to hear that the doctors still haven’t managed to help MrF with his swollen feet 😔 I also think that the visit from the Pharmacist was a tad presumptive 🤨
Hopefully the cool shower before bed worked Muddy_Walker 🤞& you managed at least some sleep last night 🤞 What a stunning garden & I love the dragons especially the stone one with his tail almost covering his eyes 😊
roundtuit, I think Mark Harmon gets sexier as he gets older 😉 Although my preference is Jeffrey Dean Morgan 😉 Liking the description ‘twot’ - sums up the current weather very succinctly 😊
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, lovely surprise to see a newly trimmed hedge but I hope the gardener didn’t disturb the inhabitants of the nest too much 🤞 Keep up the good work decluttering emails 👏 Keeping my fingers crossed that you can start to see progress to below 10,000 🤞 Overnight thunderstorms with plenty of rain would be lovely 🙏
Now there’s an idea QueenJess 😂 Every time you fill a bag or decide a piece of furniture is surplus to requirements put it straight into DH’s room 🤔👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Great work roundtuit 👏 every bit out helps 🙂
TC77, almost sounds like a 12 Step programme along the lines of AA 😂 Are you sure you don’t have any of his stuff that you could post back to him 😉
Great work sorting the washing Liverpool_Anne 👏 I suppose the advantage of hot weather is that everything dries very quickly 🙂 Hope you managed some sleep last night 🤞
Florenceem, hope tonight’s sleep is dreamless 🤞 Please be careful with your back 🙏 Any chance of enlisting DGS J to help move the food from RoD to the garage 🤞He could do the heavy lifting & you could do the arranging 😉
stellata, sorry to hear that your planned good week has got off to such a shaky start 😔 Keeping everything crossed that the ‘urgent referral’ is just your doctor being overly cautious 🤞although it doesn’t stop you worrying 😔
QueenJess, good for you & well done on emailing your boss 👏 Very pleased that the headache has gone - definitely sounds stress related 😔 Good luck with completing the bedroom tidying 🍀 A slightly unorthodox method of encouraging yourself to declutter but it does appear to be working well for you 👏 Well done to DS for being so ruthless with decluttering his clothes & releasing 2 Lego sets 👏 Any chance he can be persuaded to check for the missing pieces 🤞rather than leaving it for you. As promised, one medal 🏅 is coming to DS for such sterling work 👏 Pethaps DS can help train his daddy in the art of decluttering 😉
TC77, Well done on utilising an early wake up to deal with some frogs 👏
Siebrie, rather odd 🤨 A bit annoying that the orthodontist couldn’t/wouldn’t give you a proper answer to your question 🤔 Hopefully QueenJess & Fizz2015’s experiences will reassure you 😊
vulpix, still twot here as well - temperature has risen to 25C already with no sign of any thunderstorms 😔 Excellent decluttering especially the books 👏
Florenceem, strawberries & ice cream sounds yummy 🤤 far more refreshing than strawberries & cream 😉 All very well of the hospital to train MrF on a set of 4 stairs with handrails either side but not really very practical 😔 Good luck with the rest of the ‘great food relocation project’ 🍀Hopefully you won’t have to purchase any more storage boxes 🤞
All caught up 🥳 Now I really need to do a few things off my To Do list 😉

We had a thunder storm yesterday, just 2 huge claps and then a dribble of rain so my flowers will need watering again, the poor grass is going yellow, just one good downpour would do it good. I have cleaned the bathroom this morning and put a towel load out on the line while I'm waiting for my new iron to be delivered, the old one was about 10 years old and only a cheap one when I bought it so it has done well.
DGD is walking here from school for her tea later, she's requested pizza and pasta salad or a cooked dinner. As it's too hot to be cooking a roast dinner we'll have a BBQ chicken pizza and chicken and bacon pasta salad followed by chocolate pudding and custard/ice cream. She'll stuff her face from the time she gets through the door till the time DD collects her anyway as she has hollow legs like her DB 😂
Yesterday I put an electric aromatherapy ioniser and a small manicure set in the cs bag. 7 takeaway containers plus lids which are no longer fit for purpose, a deodorant tin and an empty watch box have all been put in the recycling.
Take care all, happy decluttering. Hugs to anyone if poorly or struggling on a daily basis.
