Thank you for your photos, I love a photo. Love the colours in the painting Brie.I have been through our bedroom again. It isn’t that long since I did it. I have sorted outfits for the cruise. A possible 28 outfit changes needed!!!!!! A small section of the wardrobe is clothes I love which are currently too small. A pile of clothes left out for me to try on and decide their fate. Mr V is out so his clothes still to do. There will be a short list of items to acquire for the hols and then we are done. I have looked at jewellery but not bags or shoes yet. Shoes fate will be decided on the cruise. I have already got rid of about 10 bags this year but you never know.I made my children a memory file. I tried to give DD1 her hospital identity bracelet recently which had been in a jewellery box. She refused it saying it’s your memory Mum not mine! That’s me told 🤣

It is very hot here and we have missed the thunderstorms. I have spent 2 hours outside tidying the front boundary so shrubs don't go over pavement. It goes round a corner so quite a long way. I now have 2 large piles to go to the tip later in the week. I forgot the before pictures but you can see from the piles of stuff that a lot was cut back. When Ive posted this I'm going to sit in the pool.

I deleted 1000 work emails and I am counting everyone of them! Took me all day alongside working. Will aim for another 1000 tomorrow and Wednesday. My decluttering total now stands at 1520. I keep a running total in my notes on my phone.
DD tonight started tidying the living room tonight. I bought new storage boxes from ikea months ago and they just got dumped in a corner. So she swapped all the box contents over of her own accord and put the new ones back in the unit.

Well the rain is here again with a thunder storm. A bit of space in the water butts from the other day DH has rigged up catching the overflow too. Overnight it is to remain at 19c. To think we still have on our bed a 13 tog duvet
I have told DH tonight will be a duvet cover minus contents.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger there are 4 siblings in total. DB is HGV driver and works away. DSis 1 is not in good mobile health herself so is limited with some things. We do give her stuff she can do whilst sat down thoughDSis2 would just throw it all away as a team it is all working.

I went to the shopping centre this afternoon - so hot on the bus coming home.
Mr F hasn't had any physio today. He was sitting with his feet up - they are still very swollen. He had a visit from a Pharmacist - they give you a fortnight's worth of medication when you are discharged to keep you going until you see your Doctor.
I started to clean and sort in my craft room before I went out.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
First things first returned bins to DH’s office & admired his handiwork re cable tidying 😉 Stripped the bed of my one set of summer bedding which is now in the wm. Bagged up the winter duvet to keep it dust free & brought down the summer duvet to air on the whirligig - sprayed on Febreze fabric freshener as well 😉 Sitting down for a while as I have decided to clean, bag & store the Christmas decorations from M & can do that whilst clearing down some of the recordings on my TV Planner. Typically as the wm finished the thunder started & it started getting dark. I had just enough time to bring in the duvet before it started raining 😔 The rain has stopped (it only lasted a few minutes) & it is much fresher outside but still dark & still thundering so won’t risk hanging anything out until it clears up (13:50) Just under an hour later & the dark clouds have gone, the lovely coolness has also gone & it is now 28C 😊 The bedding is now hung out to dry & the summer duvet is also out to air for a couple more hours.
Sadly 2 of the snow globes & one of the mini Santa candles are broken so have had to be binned - I am counting 😉
1446 - 1448 Snow globes & candle binned
The rest of the Christmas decorations/ornaments have been either washed & dried or dusted & wiped, bubble-wrapped & packed in bags ready to be delivered to CS in November 🙂 I have also done 5 minutes of weeding/pruning just to show willing 😅 Now I will have a couple of 23 minute sessions of cheerleading before picking something else off my To Do list 😉
TC77, at the rate we are going we will have hit last years total number of pages posted by the end of June 🤩 Hopefully the Swedish shop will come up trumps over that last item 🤞 Pleased to hear that someone new has been employed 😊 should mean that once trained, work will slacken off at least a little & you will be able to tackle as much of the decluttering/tidying as you would like to do 😊Gradually building up momentum so that you “will be going through the house like a dose of salts in the autumn!” Well done on the decluttering that you have done 👏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that your protracted illness has meant that your home has become far messier than you would like 😔 Obviously not helped at all by DH’s rather less than satisfactory understanding of the concept of decluttering or even tidying 😔 However, I officially adore your DS 😘What a kind & considerate young boy 😊 Do let us know when he has finished sorting his stuff as I have a medal with his name on it (metaphorically speaking) 👏 Please, please try not to stress too much 🙏 you can only do what you can do 😉 No need to apologise - not so much a rant as a release of frustration 😉 Good luck working on DH 🍀
Florenceem, fingers crossed MrF just notices how tidy & clean everywhere is & how relaxed & stress free you are 🤞😉
QueenJess, you definitely have your hands full with MrQJ 😔 Such a shame that DH’s parents are missing out on having their grandchildren around to visit them 😔 All I can say is that MrQJ is lucky to have found you 🍀😊 Everything crossed that one day soon the light bulb will come on & MrQJ will realise that less is more - less clutter means a safer home & more family time 🤞Good luck with the great clothes decluttering project with your DH 🍀
Lovely supportive post Moorviews 😊 Well done on decluttering emails - every little helps 👏 Hopefully a fairly restful Sunday has helped restore your energy levels 🤞
florianatwobob, sorry to hear that DBro has undone most if not all your hard work 😔 Well done on ‘pushing back’ against the assumption that you & DSis will do the fleabay listings 👏🥳 I will reiterate what I said to QueenJess “No need to apologise - not so much a rant as a release of frustration”
Muddy_Walker, good description ‘frustrated declutterati’ 🙂 Great work keeping on top of things, dealing with tadpoles & gardening 👏 Fingers crossed that you finally got some thunder with accompanying rain 🤞
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 & good luck tackling the sorting & bagging for CS 🍀 May I ask does moving it/storing it in DH’s room mean that he delivers it all to the CS? 🤞 Hope you managed to get a good nights rest Sunday night 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that you slept badly Saturday night but fingers crossed, after all that fresh air whilst working so hard in the garden 👏, that you had a better night’s sleep on Sunday night 🤞Your peperonata sounds absolutely lush - I was salivating 😋 Good work starting ‘Project Use Up Soap’ 👏 Fingers crossed that the union meeting went ahead as planned today 🤞
I am being very slow with the cheerleading so will sign off here. The bedding did dry, so I will remake the bed later. DH phoned about 19:00 - he had a good day apart from the 20 minute downpour which soaked him to the skin 😬
