I actually sat outside this evening! Had my tea outside on a tray.
very tired today as didn’t sleep last night - too hot. Will try a cool shower before bed and see if that helps. I have a fan but the pitch is just a bit too annoying. Roll on winter 🤣
I’ve been beating myself up about not getting the ironing done and paperwork sorted so I have set both into certain piles….hoping that works. I have given myself 3 days.
if I can post them enjoy my garden pictures!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Empty shower gel - to be recycled
I've brought down a folder of paper from RoD1 to go through. Quick look through implies mostly to recycle or pass to DS.

Evening decluttering friends
I came home from work today to find the top of the boundary hedge had been decluttered - my neighbour's gardener has been; the hedge on my side will have to wait till the nesting birds have left. I have kept up the digital decluttering but still at 11k. I bought a circular dining table from the CS on Saturday; it will be delivered on Thursday and I have offered my old dining table to the CS - hoping they will accept it; don't think they will accept my dining chairs as they don't have a fire label. I have binned my ex's old welly boots from the dismatntled shed - they had been in the garden for weeks. I also met up with my old boss and gave back my laptop and wheeled briefcase - I left the job before Xmas!!
We have had lightening and thunderstorms so I hope the humid weather will go away and I can sleep.

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger yes - DH gets annoyed with stuff in his room and so takes it promptly to the charity shop (I know… the irony..). Maybe I should just put the whole house in there 😂2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

It's almost cool enough to do something without dissolving but only just.

2329-2354: items to recycling

Popped in to say just acquired items from an ex b/f.I had email to recent work address from a name that sounded familiar but thought maybe a scam then accidentally opened and found from this ex saying he had some of my belongings and wanted to return them. He moved to Ireland 12 years ago and now moving again so having a clear out. I remember I left an evening dress at his which I asked for back at the time and never got back! anyway a parcel arrived today with an evening bag, earrings and necklace. I recognise the necklace, vaguely remember the bag but sure the earring aren't mine....maybe he has a cupboard of ex g/f belongings and being sent out to different people
I so loved the dress and missed it for years, although couldn't get in it anymore15 -
Hi all, another disturbed night last night due to the heat and another cancelled meeting. It is too complicated to explain but it might all go away tomorrow
Hot again today with thunderstorms arriving about 7.30, some spectacular lighting for about an hour but it is back up to 18 degrees now so still warm.
Not a lot done today, 2 loads of washing sorted, the kitchen recycling bin emptied and lr recycling bin emptied.
@Muddy_Walker I love your dragons, especially the red/brown one and your garden looks fab.
@roundtuit made me laugh, it is definitely twot
Hugs to everyone who would like one
819 + 820 loads of washing sorted
821 kitchen recycling emptied
822 lr recycling emptied
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Lovely post Florenceem 😊 Your DD has a strange concept of hoarding 🤨 after all mess does NOT equal hoarding 🙄 Great news that MrF dislikes spending money 👏
Dfw38, with the temperatures over the weekend being so high & the children jumping in & out of the paddling pool, the water probably wasn’t cold for too long 😉 Seems I am rather lucky with my DH - although he might have rather a lot of stuff he is not averse to decluttering & occasionally is more brutal than I am when it comes to decluttering 😅 Good luck getting everything that you want to do completed before your procedure 🍀 One thing you might want to do is give your DH a comprehensive list of what he needs to do whilst you are recovering 😉 😅 Thanks for the flowers 👏 Lovely bit of cheerleading 😊
2Scratters, interesting observation 🤔 I am sure you are not your own worst nightmare after all handkerchiefs don’t take up much room 😉 Still waiting for our downpour which reminds me I need to water my plants 😔 Great work thinning out your Tupperware stash 👏
roundtuit, nothing wrong with moving items back into RoD1 - look at it as clearing space in the living room 👏 Great decluttering & good research 👏
vulpix, well done on the conversion of MrV from collector to declutterer 👏😉 How exciting a new kitchen & a holiday 😊 That’s an unusual ‘purchase’ from the supermarket 😉 Good luck with your streamlining 🍀 Unfortunately when DH phoned he did say that the heavens were about to open - round about 19:00 😬 so I am hoping he has lots of sunshine tomorrow 🤞
Great work roundtuit 👏
QueenJess, sorry to hear that you woke with a thumping headache 😔 I hope it dissipated during the day & that your children were well behaved 🤞Excellent decluttering of items & tasks 👏 & I hope that the items you have listed on Buy Nothing will be snapped up quickly 🤞Sounds like your DH is more of a collector & has done really well to avoid becoming a hoarder 😊 As you so rightly said it is the here & now that is worrying - trying to keep DH’s parents safe & improve their quality of life 😔 Sounds like you & your DH have a good arrangement 😊 although it would be nice for you if MrQJ didn’t need quite so much handholding & encouragement to declutter 😉
Excellent work relocating items to the loft, Siebrie 👏
Florenceem, is the electric door being fitted today? Well done on deep cleaning your fridge 👏
Excellent work roundtuit 👏 Shame the caddy wasn’t quite large enough to take all the coffee 😔 Hope you found some treasures in the two bags 🤞
Still struggling to concentrate but I have caught up one more page 🙂 DSis had cold beef, oven chips & gravy for dinner whilst I had a salad with a banana for afters. Wudupa

Didn't get up until 6.30 - I had some strange dreams when I nodded off after the alarm.
The wind here has gone to ENE so a bit cooler - thank goodness.
Not going to SA events today - I need to get some shopping and crack on with moving food from ROD down to the garage.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
