fyi - no baby birds still in the nest in the carport. no corpses either which is a relief. I do however have a beautiful little nest which I can't bring myself to throw away. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
No housework but I did make peperonata for tomorrow 😉 This is an homage to my uncle who always commented that no-one else could make as good a peperonata as he did 😁 Added bonus is that it fitted in the two Tupperware boxes that I ‘borrowed’ from my cousin about 2 years ago 😱😉 DBro phoned to check which church & get directions from Honor Oak Park. He had arrived in England about 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night. He got a phone call from his wife - a pine marten got into the chicken coop & slaughtered the seven (of nine) chickens that had survived the fox attack 😔
We left home 16:30 after DH listened to the IofM TT Races. DLR & Northern Line trains were packed - DH & I didn’t manage to get a seat on either train 😔 & the Northern Line carriage was particularly hot 🥵 So DLR to Bank, Northern to Balham & one stop to Streatham Common on main line. Four minute walk to B&B which is very well appointed - both rooms have en-suite bathrooms & we have our own kitchen. The home owner is a lovely lady named Claudia (who actually attends the church where the funeral service is being held) Just having a coffee & cooling down then off to local pub, The Railway for some dinner. A six minute stroll - nice pub, we all had burger & skinny fries with coke for DSis, lager for DH & IPA for me. The food was pleasant enough & filled a gap 😉 Back in our rooms by 20:45. DSis has put her TV on. No decluttering today 😉 It has been a gloriously sunny, hot day & still very warm at 21:15.
vulpix, hope you managed to finish painting the garden seat today 🤞Excellent work on the weight loss - over a stone 🥳
Brie, make the most of the really good weather 😉 no doubt we will soon be complaining that it is cold & wet 😂 Hopefully the baby birds in the carport have fledged & have departed for pastures new 🤞 I hope you have been taking photos of Fagin’s Foxes 😉
Dfw38, well done on tackling various frogs in between dealing with mischievous dc 👏 I think it should be convent school 🤣 nuns are very strict or at least they used to be 😉
Excellent work Foofoopuppy 👏 Newly, completely varnished stairs are worthy of a medal 🏅- on its way 🙂 After all that work you have earned some time relaxing in the sun & building up your Vitamin D 😊 Loving the analogy between weight loss & house decluttering 👏😊
roundtuit, remember slow & steady wins the race 😉 It might not be the fastest method of decluttering books but at least you will have no regrets when the books find their new home 😊
Brie, very pleased to hear that your baby birds have flown away 😊 I think I would be like you & keep the nest but move it to a slightly safer place so that the engineering can still be admired 😉
Florenceem, I am not surprised those quiches went quickly 😉 I am not a lover of quiche but those look scrumptious 😋
florianatwobob - sun, sea, sand & supper - what’s not to love 😊
oceanspirit, Another excellent day’s decluttering & relocation of foodstuff 👏 Good luck enlisting a fit young man to put items in the loft 😉🍀
Look at that 👀 I am all finished with the cheerleading before 22:30 🥳 Have a good night everyone 😊 & I will see you all tomorrow evening 🙂

Some old food out and bag of garden stuff .16 -
Hi all, another sunny day here
. Went to OHs and got most of what we wanted to do done. The front windows and door were cleaned and then I tackled the bush which now looks much tidier, bag of garden waste into the car. Then I jet washed the paving which took ages but made such a difference
. The house is on quite a busy road so even though it is set back a way there is always an accumulation of dust on the windows and flags. Then into the back garden and a broken gate was broken into the wood and metal bits along with a small section of fence. They used to have a dog and this was used to keep the dog off the garden when not being supervised. That went into the car. Then an old cupboard was broken up and put into the car. Next I collected some broken plastic pots and a plastic bucket that had become brittle and they went into the car. It took us about 4 hours with 1 tea break and OH was totally exhausted so everything was packed away and the jet washer was crammed into the car and we headed home via the tip
. We had a chippy tea as neither of us wanted to cook
. After we had eaten I just watched some tv and lolled on the couch
. Tomorrow we have a few messages to do but I think OH needs a rest so probably not a lot will be done
@Mrs SD I hope the funeral goes as well as can be hoped for, hugs
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Lots of fun had on the birthday weekend but lots to clear up today! 😳
Plan for the day is to clean the house, tackle the laundry mountain (being away for most of last week means there is much more laundry plus I need to strip and wash two sets of bedding), declutter the kitchen of all of the indoor seed sowing stuff and make a few batches of veggie stock for the freezer.
