I cleaned my blue bin and the brown food caddy - they have fluorescent numbers on them now. Took parcels in for a neighbour and then stood chatting when she came to collect them.
The lampshade looks lovely in the bedroom - it is the right size.
I will have to get DGs J to remove a glass shade in the bathroom so a new bulb can be inserted. I only have 2 out of 3 glass shades as Mr F broke one.
I got DD to get me some new glasses in Ike. the other day so need to wash them and throw away old glasses.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Thank you so much for my Gold Stars Mrs SD, I will treasure them, and thank you everyone else for your encouragement.
Just had one of my friends round. Their eye-rolling looking at the place doesn’t buoy me at all. It would be nice if they asked which pile is for the chazzer and which for the tip before assuming it’s all still to pack. Hey ho, it is what it is.
My buyer is spending the day with me on Monday – she’s going to do some weeding and plant out some of her seedlings. She’s also bringing me lunch. I couldn't ask for a nicer buyer, so I consider myself blessed.
Crazily early start today as woken by a mosquito at 04:30 but decided to profit from it and managed to get into the town, (half an hour down the road), buy some more packing tape and be back home for 09:30. I was one of 2 customers in the shop at just gone 08:30 when they opened. Definitely trying to make lemonade with those lemons although eyeing up the limoncello recipe – well it is the weekend. 🤣🤣
I’ve also decluttered some lardons and pastry from the freezer for a quiche for tonight and the next couple of days and a box of hair dye to cheer me up. So all in all a good day.

Will catch up on everyone's posts in a bit.
Been a busy day, up since 5.30am, did a carboot this morning and made £50 plus decluttered quite a few things. It really is amazing what people will buy!
Popped to MIL's for a cuppa and ask for help with childcare next week. I'm in the office and OH working away (safer for him to book accommodation than drive 4 hours a day on top of a working day).Think I've got it all sorted now after calling in some favours.
This afternoon we started tidying the garden, had to borrow the neighbours bin for garden waste as ours full. A few plants got a haircut and a lot of weeding. Plus a pile ready for a tip run, will find more.
Finally this evening I have begun to declutter the ironing pile. Just having a rest whilst catching up with everyone's news.17 -
Evening fellow declutterers
Today I have sorted out my sewing box - got rid of DDs name labels used in their school uniforms (they are in their 20s now!); continued with the digital declutter and now have only 11,257 emails in my inbox (17k+ a few days ago); shredded and recycled loads of paperwork and taken 2 big bags to the CS.
I've also gained 3 x dining chairs as i bought some new ones from a shop that had a closing down sale. Will put my old ones on Fb or take to the CS if they don't sell.
I finally planted my butternut squash plant in a bucket and planted a couple of tubs. My garden is still a mess after the shed demolition but I'll get there. Need to focus on the living room this week as hosting book group on Friday - yikes!

Operation ‘Paint Kitchen’ is mostly done. It was scheduled for doing in the spring but DBro’s antics put pay to plans……Pulled the fridge freezer out to paint the wall down the side of it and finally got to use the ‘sliders’ (two lengths of semi rigid plastic with hand holes). Oh they were fabulous at saving the floor from possible scratches! Worth their £20. I think the wall will need another coat of anti-mould paint (it gets a lot of weather) but it’s looking far better already.Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow and fish and chips at the seaside.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Moved more store cupboard food items from OH’s. At the beginning he said I would never fit it all into my small space - most of it is in and bb dates written on in marker pen so I can easily see what needs using first.
A few more things to bring over tomorrow plus his favourite mugs etc then he can sort out clothes, books, paperwork and furniture to go in the little bedroom. It looks lovely in little bedroom right now in its empty state. I am most put out that is going to be filled up again but also pleased that it is empty enough for that to happen.I still have more things of my own to go through which I plan to do during the week. They are currently in living room and bedroom and I am pleased that it feels manageable.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅18 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH got back from shopping & I put everything away immediately 🙂 DSis eventually got back - seriously depressed about the size of her stomach (she was a skinny child 😉) which meant that it took her ages to find trousers to fit 😔 The sun eventually came out for an hour or so & dried the jeans that I had left out overnight 👏 All yesterdays laundry now put away. DSis bought pizzas for dinner & I took out a garlic bread from the freezer. Wudupa.

Hi all, it continues to be wall to wall sunshine here, my plants in pots are needing watering everyday and it looks like continuing for at least another week
.. So a bit of a catch up at home today. 2 loads of washing sorted, out on the line and dried in a couple of hours
. I decided to tackle my front garden today, the hibiscus needed trimming and some weeding done but I only managed about an hour before I had to go in and cool down
so more weeding needs doing on another day. I went through a kitchen cupboard and found a load of plastic tray things, not sure why they were there but they are now in the hard plastic bin bag which will go to the tip tomorrow. I had a critical look at my cardboard boxes and a massive but not very sturdy one went into the recycling bin and then I had a look at my emails, another 100 permanently deleted. It didn't cool down until about 8.30 so I had a little sit in the garden with a cuppa until it went dark
. Tomorrow we are back at OHs house, onward and upward as they say
@Mrs SD thank you for my medal. On the subject of your address people can just get a random address from the a-z, look up the post code on the internet and use it, they don't need to know who lives there if they are saying they live there iyswim, nothing you have done wrong. It may be it's someone who lives around the corner so knows the name of the road even.
@florianatwobob, sliders are great things, I have some small ones that I can put under the legs of heavy furniture when I want to move things around, saves having to carry things and,as you say, saves the floor getting scratched. They work just as well on carpet
@oceanspirit, you are doing a grand jobwell done on having a completely empty room
Hugs to everyone who would like one
761 + 762 2 loads of washing sorted
763 weeds from the front garden
764 kitchen cupboard sorted
765 large cardboard box recycled
766 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone
