7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Two of the wash loads dried out on the whirligig 🙂 The 3rd load (jeans & towels) is being left out overnight. Dinner was oven chips, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans & fried eggs. Wudupa.

ruby_eskimo, very interesting conversation about what causes us to accumulate ‘stuff’ 🤔 You are doing an excellent job at your Mum’s house 👏 & I have made a note of your target so that I can make appropriate awards 😉 Good luck helping your Mum to deal with various financial frogs 🍀 It seems not enough is being done to stop bank branches closing, & no doubt they will try to fob your Mum off with internet banking 😖
Florenceem, lovely to hear that you are treating yourself 😊
Brie, I agree - lovely that Florenceem is giving herself a bit of TLC 😊
Florenceem, how kind of your SA officer to take you to visit MrF 😊 Fingers crossed that MrF is still improving & that you can both enjoy your visit 🤞
Excellent work Rootle 👏 The wet room sounds wonderful 🙂 Unfortunately I think when we finally get around to having our bathroom done we will be restricted to a shower - I am going to miss the bath though 😔 Probably why we are being so slow in making a start on the planning 😉
florianatwobob, that is what I call a fast turnaround 👏
Dfw38 thank you for sharing more of your life with us 👏 It really is surprising how much we accumulate in a few years - even without children 😔 Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the company of Thursday’s visitors 😊 even if it did exhaust you 😉 Hope you were successful in tackling paperwork frogs on Thursday 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, I always worry when I receive either an unexpected phone call or a call from someone I haven’t heard from in a while 😔 So I am pleased that your call was not bad news 😮💨 Excellent work painting the garden gate 👏 Sorry to hear about OH’s neighbour 😔 All very well making cocktails but OH really needs to tidy up 😉 Lovely idea to batch cook carrot & lentil soup & give some to the new mum 😊 The baby blanket is beautiful 😻 I would definitely love that garden even in its currently overgrown state 😉 Always such a shame that the perfect house rarely comes with the perfect garden 😔
weenancy, very pleased to hear that the surgery went well 😊 Wishing you a speedy recovery 🤞
Florenceem, fingers crossed that you get to speak to MrF’s head physio & the sister 🤞It does sound like MrF is getting better & hopefully the good food will help him gain a bit of weight so that not only will his clothes fit better but he will start building up his strength for his physiotherapy 🤞It also sounds like the nursing staff are on the ball 😉 Good luck getting MrF to dress 🍀 - I am sure he will feel much better wearing clothes rather than pyjamas 😊
stellata, honestly I would freecycle the bedspread rather than take the risk of the CS not being able to accommodate it in the shop 😉
Lovely post Dfw38 😊 R is definitely a sweetie 😊 Apparently he has been telling his great grandma all about his day out & that his favourite bits of the day were the boat trip & feeding the squirrels 😅Hopefully you will receive prompt responses to your enquires for information 🤞I hope the dentist visit went well 🤞 Good luck with your list 🍀
Lovely post ruby_eskimo 😊 Typical that the bank are ‘being unhelpful’ & that you have to start the process online 😔
leftatthetrafficlights, Happy Birthday to your DH for the weekend 🎉 Cleaning counts as decluttering - of dust 😉 MMiM = Mini Missions in March or May, AAiA was Admin Action in April & daisy_1571 is correct that JJiJ is Jettison Junk in June 🙂
daisy_1571 - Mini Missions 😉
Lovely supportive post 2Scratters 😊 Excellent work at your parents house 👏 You are really motoring now 👏 Is May-Do any relation to May B Handy 😉 Well done on keeping Justin & May out of your home 👏
Congratulations on reaching “maintenance decluttering status” QueenJess 🥳 Now you just need to persuade your DH to tackle the garage & his study 😉 You have worked very hard to get to this position & should be very proud 🥹 A great idea to keep up with the 10 a day decluttering because as you say it can be easy for Justin, Ron & May to regain a foothold 😉 You are an inspiration to us all 😊 Good luck with the last of your digital decluttering & your tidying 🍀 Congratulations again 👏🥳
florianatwobob, thank you for sharing 😊
Another couple of pages caught up, so will have a final push tomorrow 🙂

Hi all, caught up and as I am still awake thought I'd post again, just in case people haven't got enough to read
@weenancyinAmerica, hope you're doing well and when the eye patch comes off you are back to 20/20, hugs.
@stellata, would it be worth trying the bed spread on a delicate cool wash? If not I would certainly be looking to move it on
@Mrs SD, sounds like a lovely day out, hope you and Mr SD are recovered from all the walkingbtw I grew up in Gravesend
. OHs garden is an absolute paradise for wildlife, constant birdsong
. OH did clear up the kitchen today before I started cooking which was just as well or words would have been had
. Re the strange letter, it sounds like someone trying to dodge repaying their sl.
@Vulpix I have goat envy. My first job when I left school was as a veterinary nurse. I remember we had a baby goat come in to be dehorned and while it was perched on the pedal bin pretending to be a mountain goat and I was washing the food bowls it ate a hole in the back of my overall
. They will eat anything but it was so cute I couldn't be cross
@Florenceem, I use a mop to reach the top tiles in the bathroom, might be worth a try, hugs
@Brie, yes the blanket is crochet
@Muddy_Walker, yay to being rid of TB and as for going back...as if
@dND, good luck with the move, deep breath, you can do this, hugs
Right off to bed now

One more session of cheerleading 😉
Lovely supportive post vulpix 😊 Sounds like a lovely visit with DS & what a marvellous idea to take a picnic to your mum’s place 😊 Love the idea of not rushing a project that has already been 10 years in the making 😉 What a great idea to borrow a goat to start clearing the vegetation in the top garden 👏Thank you for the lovely story about your Grandads goat 😅 Sounds like a great plan - roping in extra muscle to work on the top garden 👏 Do remember though, that rugby players eat a lot 😂
How kind of SA officer C to take you to visit MrF, Florenceem 😊 Condolences to officer C on the loss of his father. Please, please take care of yourself - I agree with Brie that clean tiles are not worth you injuring yourself 😔 Good luck with the last 3 shelves of your food cupboard 🍀
EnergyShifter, I see QueenJess has answered your question & I have learnt something new 😊 What a marvellous decluttering action 🥳 Decluttering yourselves to Spain 😊 Wishing you a wonderful holiday - sun, sea & sangria in abundance 😊
Siebrie, what a great idea 😊 but hopefully Florenceem will restrict her climbing to when she has someone with her (like her DGS J) or better yet get DGS J to deal with any tasks that are high up 🤞
Lovely post Dfw38 😊 Nothing new with Barclays then - they were awful 30+ years ago which was why I moved to First Direct 😉 Pleased to hear that you have already had one reply to your three emails 😊
QueenJess, thanks for answering EnergyShifter’s question - I have learnt something new 🙂 & it is far quicker than scrolling through lots of pages 🥳
Brie, lovely post 😊 Going slightly off topic - Magneto would love you with your excess of iron 🤣(referencing the movie X2 😉) Sounds like you have had problems with Barclays as well 😉
GrannyKate, well done on getting so much done while the children were having a long lie-in 👏Excellent decluttering 👏 Good luck with gathering passwords & checking & cancelling accounts 🍀What a wonderfully tidy office 👏
Siebrie, well done on collecting another 4 boxes from the neighbour’s house 👏 Hopefully there aren’t too many more 🤞
QueenJess, useful information for GrannyKate re unsubscribing 👏
Muddy_Walker - party time 🥳 now that you have decluttered TB 🎉🥳 Talk about too little too late 😔TB is obviously completely oblivious to her appalling behaviour 😔 Hopefully your parents won’t wear you out too much 🤞
Just posting this before I go bed 😉

Unfortunately the bedspread is too big to go in the washer, it's huge and very thick. I think Mrs SD is right and Freecycle is the best way, I hate to say that because it drives me potty waiting for people who don't turn up, but at least it'll be used if someone takes it (until it needs washing and they find out it doesn't fit in their washer either). I've got far too much bedding now it's only me.Magnolia Stellata19

@stellata , when you post on free cycle you can say please only reply if you can definitely pick up in x days or on y. I've met lovely people on freecycle and then people who never turn up. I took curtains and a a bedspread to the launderette to use their very large machines. Brought them home abit wet and took ages to dry as in the spring.
Need to catch up with work and hoping to do tidying as chaotic. Have moved things in the doorway and close the door of dd1s room
@QueenJess well done to getting to maintained mode.
Mrs SD enjoyed reading about your day out.
And listening and learning to all those sorting out parents homes.
DB is slowly getting rid of boat related things at my dad's ( 70s mirror dinghy) but lots.of things date from 1950s/60s when parent each rented a flat and then married and bought house so type writers, pokers, boxes of letters as well as furniture. July/ August is my time for that so picking up tips and ideas.

@QueenJess - thanks for the heads up on the ICO (information commissioners office) I'll be doing that with Vinted!!
@Brie - Do they do blood donations where you live? As you say its a shame to waste some good stuff.
DH has finished off the back fence gated access to our new composter, he has done a great job, just needs me to treat the wood for now and redo some of the panels.
Have a good weekend Peeps enjoy the intake of vitamin D in nice steady amounts.

Morning all. Best thing about study and utility is getting rid of grubbiness at floor level and cobwebs on the coving. Wondering if I can interest DS in garage.
829 Checked three accounts and updated contact details - most things still have old landline number. One account didn't work and I don't need it so crossed off my list. I mostly use keychain on my machine and have no idea what passwords actually are except for a few
830 Computer playing up when I tried to log in so cleaned keyboard whilst waiting for it to sort itself out. I must turn it off when not in use - very bad at that
831 A few more photos downloaded and saved
832 Saved email boxes gone through and another 230 emails and 3 empty boxes permanently deleted.
833 Planted out a few more tomato and courgette seedlings
I suddenly noticed my greenhouse side of garden was a lot lighter and realised my back neighbour's children have finally come and cut back her garden for her - there were huge Buddleia along the other side of my fence which grow everywhere like weeds. Her bungalow is lower down than mine and garden very shallow so they were making it very dark at the back for her house.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

More than 10 things out today as I helped DS go through his junk drawer. I've also done 10 for tomorrow, so I'm all good until next week. I just need to work on more gardening to get my wild flower patch finished and then I'll have more plant pots to go back the garden centre/onto buy nothing. More tidying will also be done this weekend in dribs and drabs.Physical:

Hi, Mr V went to work at 5am and is back and I am still in bed. Bliss. The calm before the next round of visitors next week.Liverpool Anne I can picture your baby goat. If ever I need cheering up I watch baby goats jumping on a trampoline on you tube. I love how they bounce with straight legs.Mrs SD, I know how you feel about making a decision on the bathroom. It took me ages and I went back and forth with it. In the end I just changed the layout and went with a shower over the bath. I think I would have regretted not having a bath. I promised you a picture. I will do that when I get up! Decorating not done yet.Mr V is on fire to get stuff done before the football. The plan is to clear some builders junk from the top garden and do a tip run. I don’t think I said he did a tip run the other day with some downspouts we had replaced. Better go.Vx:17
