Dog had me up at 4 something, urgently needed to go out. For a sniff around apparently, thanks doggy that could have waited. I gave up on sleep and had coffee instead. Was a bit cheered up by finding that an item had sold on eBay, which pays for my grocery order later which I had been slightly regretting as I don't usually do a big order nowadays. Pretty much out of things to sell now, I did try clothes but no interest even at low prices. Have decided to have a gentle day today as it's all got a bit much recently.Magnolia Stellata16

Up and had a shower/washed my hair + washing and dishwasher on.
I need to check my banking - Mr F usually does all that for me.
Looking forward to going to Church after missing 2 weeks.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Not a lot more done yesterday. I did sort through top kitchen drawer (the one where the crumbs go) whilst DGS4 was doing some reading for school. A few bits didn't belong in that drawer so put back where they should be. DGS4 liked the way I had reordered his clothes here as he can see them more easily and less screwed up. He took this as sign they needed wearing and seems to have worn three sets yesterday as all in washing.
837 Top kitchen cutlery drawer cleaned and sorted
838 Ten items put away
839 Bottom cooking drawer sorted and some tat binned
840 Replaced salt block in water softener
Not planning a lot today - GCs back at school tomorrow - school uniforms all ready on small table - we have a routine which works quite well. Nothing worse than finding you are missing items just as you go to leave for school.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Woke up to a gloriously sunny day - wall to wall blue skies & sunshine. I have a slight headache but will resist taking tablets & see if a cuppa will work 😉 The plan today is to make peperonata, pack a bag & head off to B&B about 16:00. Drop off our bags, gastropub for a meal, then an early night. Funeral starts at 10:00 tomorrow so we aim to arrive by 09:45 at the latest.
Liverpool_Anne, your Saturday sounds lovely 😊 although a possibly a bit too warm 😉 An eclectic mix of tasks & decluttering - well done on getting so much done & having a bit of ‘you’ time 👏 I take your point about how easy it is to just use an address but I am inclined to get overly worried about such things 😔
stellata, at least you got to see the sunrise 😉 very considerate of your dog 😂 Enjoy your restful Sunday 😊
So pleased to hear that you are now in a position to attend church, Florenceem 😊 Also hoping that you have a restful day 🙏
GrannyKate, I too have one of those ‘crumb drawers’ 😂 which is so odd as my drawers are under the hob 🙄 Love the idea that DGS4 thinks that once clothes are sorted you should wear as many as possible in a day 🤣 Hope you have a lovely relaxed Sunday 😊
That made me smile Dfw38 😃
The headache is gradually easing, so might even do a little housework 😉
I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday 😊

I started to paint a garden seat I had been given yesterday. Had to give up as I was too hot in the shade. Will finish it today and water garden pots later.I have to admit reading that it was someone’s birthday the other day and I have forgotten who. I am so sorry but happy birthday anyway. 💐
dND you are going great guns. Don’t be put off by other people. Xx
weight is slowly shifting again. 15lbs gone. I have bought a few new clothes for my holidays and ousted a few from the wardrobe.Vx:15 -
I was intending to do some more tidy/decluttering in the carport but it's baking out there so it might need to wait til later. Step one will be to see if the baby birds have decluttered themselves yet or if I have to have a solemn ceremony having disturbed their nest a couple of weeks back.
Second load of laundry is in and OH has decluttered Artful Dodger Fox's yoghurt pots from the garden!!! was nice last evening though as we could see one of them happily reclining on the adirondack chair by the summer house!!! Need to get the extra large dog's water bowl (purchased when we had 3 thirsty cats) out so that the wildlife has a place to stop and drink. Explained to OH that that meant finding a large stone or 2 in it in case of hedgepiglets going for a swim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. It is really warm here today!
I am spending the day tackling mini jobs/frogs that never seem to get done.
🐸 3: wash barbie and action man clothes - hanging on the line drying off.
The dc are playing up so only mini things happening today because everytime I turn my back one of them is up to no good, like pouring their juice in the hallway and then mopping up with their new baseball cap....😔
Hope you all have a lovely day... told the dc if they keep it up we will sign them up for military school 🤣.... I'm only half joking!2024 decluttering Campaign

I'm pleased to confirm that varnishing the stairs is now officially complete 🥳 that was definitely a frog turning into a cane toad, so I'm glad we've done it now, and all the bumpf at the bottom of the stairs has been put away.
Like many of you, it is absolutely glorious here, so I am taking the opportunity to enjoy some sunshine now that the weekend tidying and frog munching has been done.
Weight decluttering is also finally appearing to be successful, the scale is moving although I cannot see any difference yet... I suppose it is like decluttering a house, the first round of decluttering hardly seems to make a difference and you just have to trust the progress will show as you keep going.14 -
That's another book taken from the bookcase in my bedroom, read, and to be passed to P for his delectation ... it's Set in a Silver Sea: a history of Britain and the British people (Bronze Age - 1400 ish). Get me being a geek 🤓
I've also hoovered the small square of floor between the bottom of the stairs and the front door. That's more cobwebs gone.
Brought another book down from the bookcase, Facing Anxiety. To be read and added to cs pile.
This may be the slowest way to declutter ever devised, but it's ensuring a slow trickle of books out of the door. 😊
Love to all
