florianatwobob - thank for your post.
I have been round to SA and seen the officer C - he will pick me up at 12.30 and I don't think I will be home before 7 - C has an appointment where he is going at 4 and then he will be saying goodbye to family. C's father died on Wednesday.
I had a fall in the bathroom this morning - expecting some bruises - it was my own fault - I couldn't reach the top tiles in the shower to clean them so put a step stool in there. - fell when getting out.
Think I won't do any more climbing today so will work on the last 3 shelves of my food cupboard.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Good Morning!
Question: Does anyone know how to find your last post? I've been just scrolling back but it's harder to do that when the thread is so busy. I think I found my last one but not 100% sure!
We've decluttered ourselves to Spain ! Arrived late last night and I'm enjoying a quiet morning settling myself in.... Journey was a bit fraught as we set off in good time but as we sat on the train at local station there was an announcement saying all the electricity had been cut off at London Bridge due to trespassers on the line! (that's the 3rd time in recent months this has happened & I don't take the train that often). Anyhoo - bus, tube a dash across Victoria Station and we just about made the flight!
In the process of packing I managed to declutter a few bits:Tasks:
Cleaned the house top to bottom
Bodged a temp radiator leak issue - No two ways about it - I'm going to have to get them replaced.

@Florenceem It may be worth it to start wearing a medical alert bracelet? It's a bracelet with a button you can press if you fall and can't get up. The service will contact you, and can even get into your house with key hidden in a pincode protected keybox.

Thank you @2Scratters.
Glad the op went well weenancy 🤞 results are good for you.
Barcl@ys are being very slow at the minute, we need bank statements to calculate gifts and it is taking weeks. I will be chasing them on Tuesday (after my eldest 2 are back to school) and we are waiting to find out if we owe ant care home fees.
One of the emails I sent last night had a response before 8am and confirmed what I thought so that is another loose end tied up with regards to dad's estate... just the rest now!

lovely blanket. crocheted?? (looks like it but wanted to be sure)
@Florenceem
do be careful!!! last thing either of you need is for you to not bounce the right way. your well being is more important than extra clean top tiles!!!
@Dfw38
You're not A+ are you? If so I could declutter some extra iron rich blood in your direction!!! Apparently I have a genetic thingme that means I accumulate too much iron. I'm supposed to have an appointment about this but the hospital doesn't have any available and will contact me about it by the end of July!!! Apparently blood letting of some sort is one of the ways to handle this so it would be nice to think all that iron-y goodness isn't just being flushed away!!!
And as for Barclays - I assume this is for your dad's estate? And you're talking to their bereavement team?? Should they continue to stall you might try going on their social media site as there's a team that's meant to do things quickly to help avoid complaints being lodged. Children had a long lie in this morning and still not dressed so I cracked on with study tidying. Wet mopped floor and cleaned inside window as well. Managed to fit the 9 'deferred decision boxes' in study - mostly photos in quite small boxes. Still have room for DGS4's wooden trains in the corner and some shelf space.
812 Quiz completed and papers recycled
813-823 Books to CS bag
824 Receipt box checked - mostly Christmas gifts so into shredding. A couple to keep put in proper place.
825 Study cleaned, dusted, swept etc
826 Leather effect zip up meeting folder to CS bag - I have a nicer one to keep as I use occasionally.
827 Tried to log in to old email account which I never use but couldn't so just threw info about it in shredding
828 Emails read/filed/deleted
I plan to go through password collection starting with late DH and see if any accounts are still open and what can be cancelled. He 'gets' about 1 email a fortnight but these are things I have been unable to work out any way to stop as unsubscribe doesn't work. Not too fussed about these odd emails as generally junk. On close examination study futon cover could do with a wash. Oldest DGSs sleep there when they stay.

I picked up another 4 boxes from the storage at next door neighbours': 2 boxes of photos/diaries, a box of lamps, and a box of books. I've aired them, dusted where needed, and moved the contents to our attic.I had a quick look-through the photos and threw out about 20 (6 similar pictures of a rabbit I had 20 years ago....), and I threw 1 paperback book in the paper recycling.Husband is not too keen on the lamps, but I will keep them until the renovation is finished. If I can't find a place for them, they can go. They are well-made, and new lamps are expensive!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5915

@GrannyKate you could go to the webpage, find the privacy section (usually at the bottom) and then the relevant email address (at the bottom) to request they delete all the data on DH under GDPR rules. You could also tell them their unsubscribe doesn't work and so you are reporting them to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) - that often gets a swift response in my experience!Another option is to mark the sender as junk and so it will go into junk forever more and you won't see them in the inbox. It is better to go with a deletion though from a pure privacy perspective.2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday is a lovely sunny day - I am up & in a dressing gown. Both DH & I are feeling ‘broken’ - both aching & stiff as not used to walking around & being active for hours at a time 😔 😉 So I don’t think either of us will be doing too much today 😅
Excellent work sorting out both DS & DDs rooms Dfw38 👏 Hopefully you can sort out the furniture to your satisfaction 🤞
TC77, hopefully now that DD1 is away & you can shut the door/s on the rooms containing her ‘stuff’, you will be able to continue your decluttering 🤞Well done on dealing with frogs 👏 As you say, even one item out each day will help 😊 Fingers crossed that once DD2 has finished her exams, she will be able to help out a bit more rather than leaving everything to you 🤞
GrannyKate, “unreasonable” is a very polite description of 50 miles away 😉 Sorry to hear about the faulty glasses 😔 Quite surprised that the optician hadn’t explained about the lenses - usually they try to get you to spend more money rather than less 😉
Well done on starting to sort ‘crammed spaces’ QueenJess 👏 Congratulations on reducing your working week to 4 days 🥳 Please remember to use some of ‘the extra time’ for some TLC rather than decluttering/tidying etc 🙏
Florenceem, please let us know how you get on with the oven cleaners 🙏 Do you mind if I ask if it is a local or nationwide company? I still haven’t sorted mine yet so am definitely interested in your experience 🙂 Good luck with the telescopic window cleaning kit 🍀
Floss, useful cleaning tip 👏
vulpix, well said 👏 I find it so easy to distract myself from an important/urgent task that I end up doing nothing & then my frog list keeps growing with older frogs turning into Cane Toads 😱 Well done on listing the DIY/decorating items 👏 & hopefully everything will be snapped up quickly 🤞I agree with MrV that you should save your baby dress - it is lovely 😊
nannywindow, hopefully your new next door neighbours will be nice 🤞 Great work sorting out your clothes & good decluttering 👏
Excellent work cleaning & tidying on Wednesday, Dfw38 👏 Maybe your children are over excited at the prospect of visitors 😉 different people to play with 😅
Very crafty retiredinfrance 😉 I love it 😊 - one medal 🏅 on its way 😊Excellent work in the garage 👏& because MrRiF was so keen & rather efficient, I am awarding him a medal 🏅 Hopefully the rest of the garage clearance will go just as well leading to both a tidy garage & tidy bookshelves 🤞
Muddy_Walker, being so far behind on the cheerleading can be quite useful 😉 It is Friday & you are on your last day of putting up with TB 🥳 Will there be an ‘exit from department’ interview during which you can mention TB’s rather poor management skills? or are you going to just draw a line under the whole experience knowing that you are the far better person 😊 Hopefully the dog cwtches worked wonders on Wednesday night’s headache 🤞
short_bird, pleased to hear that the bus journey wasn’t delayed too long 🤞Great electronic decluttering 👏 you must be almost done 🤞
TC77, fingers crossed that you sorted out your worrying frogs on Wednesday night 🤞& managed a good night’s sleep 🙂
Floss, excellent work tidying & rearranging the understairs cupboard 👏 Hope you managed to have some rest in the TLC Carriage yesterday 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, what a busy Thursday in OH’s garden 🤩👏 An excellent decision to remove all the rusty metal plant markers 👏 better safe than sorry 😊 Excellent decluttering in OH’s garden & thanks for the pictures 👏 I was exhausted seeing the sheer amount of work that you have taken on 😱 One observation is that the wildlife must love the garden - very ecologically friendly 😉 Also love the idea that the wisteria is “making a bid for world domination” 😂
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you had a mini lie-in 😊
Off to get dressed & finally strip the bed 😉 Still 4 pages behind 😱 but will continue trying to catch up 😉
