Been out and used my Birthday gift card from September - shops busy as it's half term.
Treated myself to my favourite M & . cakes.

I am going to visit Mr F tomorrow - my SA officer is taking me - he is going to visit his mum who lives nearby - so happy that I can see him again this week. It will only be the second time of seeing Mr F in 2 weeks because of having Covid and difficulty in travelling - my Dd is off school this week so wasn't able to collect me if I got a lift there.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

17/52 - an old Wii given to a friend who was looking for spare parts.
18/52 - my old bathroom converted into a wet room and the skip filled with bathroom furniture, bath and tiles removed. I think the dust will take weeks to clear and having builders in for 3 weeks was more invasive than I thought but very pleased with the results.
19/52 - DH sold and hand delivered a jazz bass guitar.

DSis sorted out two bags of charity and they were dropped off on Tuesday. They didn’t take long to get into the shelves as we actually saw some leaving the shop a bit later!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Thank you @ruby_eskimo and everyone else! My dad's situation makes me determined not to do the same to my dcs. A lot of our stuff has been accumulated over the past 10 years (before we moved in together we didn't have much) and some of it is the stuff that flows in and out e.g. kids clothes that will eventually be outgrown, toys and books etc.
All went well with today's visitors, the loved having them over, I feel exhausted. Kids just wanted small bits for tea after a large lunch and treats so dh got some fish and chips that went down fabulously. Tackled one 🐸: booked a blood test - hoping my iron levels have improved 🙏. Dh is busy working on stuff tonight so I am going to have a night of running through some of my parents things, including the dreaded paperwork 😬 got a few 🐸 to tackle for dad's estate so will see if I can sort some.out tonight.2024 decluttering Campaign

Hi all, had a phone call from my dsis this morning. I can't remember the last time she phoned me so initially I was worried but it turned out she had had a bit of a row with my niece yesterday and I think she just wanted to offload. Anyway we had a good long chat and sorted a few things out, hopefully I will be visiting her in a couple of months but I will have to work around when my niece is visiting and when my still homeless nephew is visiting
so dates to be arranged later. By the time we had finished chatting it was lunch time and the morning had gone. After lunch I emptied the bathroom bin and the kitchen bin and then got the paint out to do the gate. I did 2 coats on the back and 1 coat on the front so that's 3 coats on the back and front now so that should do for this year. The rest of the tin is going to OHs to do the shed. I have wrapped up the blanket and put it in a gift bag and found a card, all from my stash but I won't count until they have left the house. We heard today a neighbour of OH has passed away so I found a suitable card in my stash for OH to use and I will be delivering it tomorrow. This lady was a good friend of OHs Mum so OH will be going to the funeral. OH has destroyed the kitchen making some kind of gin cocktail for ln and her friends for an over the fence gathering
I have utilised some of the lemon skins to help clean the microwave
but the kitchen is still a mess 🙍. I have put some dried beans in soak to make a mixed bean and veg stew, mainly for the freezer and to take a couple of portions to the new Mum who is vegan so she can have a couple of fall back meals in her freezer. I will also be doing some carrot and lentil soup as we got 2 bags in the 2g2g box and OH won't touch them. That is for tomorrow after I am back from OHs as I want to get to the apple tree
. I remembered to take a couple of photos of the blanket which I will post from my phone in a minute.
@2Scratters, yes OHs garden is quite large and when OHs Dad was fit it was a joy to see but it needs to be worked on more often than we have done to keep it tidy. I do enjoy gardening but I am not sure I have the energy to keep on top of it what with having the half hour drive each way as well. Ideally I would like it at my house but you can't have everything
@Vulpix that little garment is so cute
Hugs to everyone who would like one
749 kitchen bin emptied
750 bathroom bin emptied
751 gate painted finally
Right off to bed after I have posted the blanket pics, take care everyone

Here is the blanket hung over the line, it is about 54 inches by 44 inches.
I am particularly pleased with the border as I did a new to me stitch. It needs blocking really but I just don't have the space to do it.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Still got it wrong as to who DH & I were meeting 😉 DH & I left home about 10:15 walked to the DLR station & caught the train towards Lewisham. I got off at Cutty Sark & DH continued to Greenwich & met his niece S, her husband C & great great nephew R (4yrs 11 months old). DH was delighted as R came running down the platform to greet him 😊 The 4 of them then came & met me & we walked down to the pier & bought tickets for the boat. Travelled down/up the Thames as far as the Tower of London, walked round the outside to Tower Gateway DLR station & managed to get the front seats so R could ‘drive’ the train 😄 Changed trains at Westferry & got off at Mudchute. Then onto Squirrel Alley where R delighted in feeding the squirrels 🐿️. By this time the sky was clearing & the sun came out ☀️Lots of people walking their dogs & R sticking with his ‘Gruncle’ who had the bag of monkey nuts 😉Made our way into Mudchute Farm & the adults had coffee & cake with an ice lolly for R. Visited the aviary, saw the donkeys & then headed off to the playground in Millwall Park past the animals - llamas, goats, pigs, huge chickens, ducks & peacocks & back down Squirrel Alley. R had a brilliant time in the adventure playground - rope walks, up rope ladders & down covered slides. By this time about 14:45 the sun was blazing & it was very warm 😊 We then headed over to the cafe ostensibly to use the facilities but also for a cuppa & shared a couple of large cookies 🙂 I then headed home on the bus (too tired to do any more walking 😉) getting home about 15:50 whilst DH accompanied S, C & R to Greenwich. (DH got home just before 17:00) Unfortunately train cancelled so S, C & R headed to London Bridge. Serious problems with the trains as trespassers on the line. They finally managed to get as far as Abbey Wood & are hopefully getting a train at 18:15 🤞 Unfortunately the train only took them as far as Gravesend 😔 Hoping to get a train to Rainham @ 19:17 🤞 Just received a message 19:26 they are finally on a train 🥳 Finally home at 20:00. A lovely side note - R asked his gran & grandad if he had been a “good enough boy to be allowed to visit us again” 😊😊😊 😌
Dinner was individual M&S lasagnes with garlic bread. Wudupa - on Friday 😱

stellata, great gardening work 👏 Well done on washing & drying the bedspread & I think it is probably time to let it go 😉 especially as you are intending to become a minimalist 😬
Florenceem fingers crossed you got everything done that you intended on Wednesday 🤞
daisy_1571, I see I have followed your idea for stellata to donate the newly laundered bedspread 😉
Wow you did have a busy Wednesday morning GrannyKate 👏 & all before 08:00 🤩
vulpix, lovely message for Florenceem 😊 Good luck finding the elusive yellow wool for your Mum 🍀Excellent decluttering & tidying whilst searching for the missing wool 👏 Hopefully all the decorating & diy items will be snapped up quickly 🤞I do hope you continue your furniture restoration as I know that you both enjoy it & are good at it 😊 Hopefully your new idea for a project will be approved by DD 🤞
Florenceem, hopefully the hospital can be persuaded that it is NOT a good idea to transfer MrF to a hospital so far away 🤞 As you say, being unable to have visitors will not be conducive to MrF’s continuing recovery 😔
I have caught up a little more - only 4 pages behind 😉

Hello everyone, made it through the first eye cataract surgery okay. Have a patch over the eye until tomorrow, so don't know yet if I can see better out of it. Managed to get my PowerPoint presentation for Saturday done before I went for the surgery. Next eye will be done next Thursday.
