Liverpool_Anne - beautiful blanket - great work.
Up and the washing is on. Only a little ironing to do this morning - will get that done after breakfast.
I will pop to SA later to drop off some bags for life for the food bank. Will see the officer to find out what time he is going to be leaving today.
I hope to speak to the head physio and sister at Mr F's new hospital. The rehab ward sounds good - Mr F is meant to be dressed but says that his clothes don't fit. He weighs over a stone less than when he went into hospital but says that the catheter would be a problem which is rubbish as a Church friend wears normal trousers while having one. Then he says that his socks don't fit - I intend to get him dressed today - be first time for nearly 8 weeks. He needs to have the catheter removed.
Mr F says that he was told at his former hospital that he couldn't wipe his own bottom after using the toilet - why I don't know - here he was told - your hands are working so you should do it. Mr F gets something in his head and it is set in stone.
He has a single room with ensuite. Mr F says that the food is very good and at tea time they gave him lots more than he could eat - he has it in his head about gaining weight - I think because his mum ballooned when immobile.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Thank you mrs SD and others for the encouragement to move the giant bedspread on. It is lovely but a problem to wash and I really need one I can stick in the washer. I think I'll lug it to the charity shop next week, and if they don't want it I'll Freecycle it.Have continued with the washing big things while it's drying weather. Car blanket, down coat, pillows. Chucked 3 pillows as they were beyond help.Another quiet weekend upcoming, am going to carry on with the wardrobe edit.Magnolia Stellata18

Congratulations @Liverpool_Anne and what an absolutely beautiful blanket! My dmum made blankets for all the grandchildren when they were born and they are treasured possessions.
What a lovely dress @vulpix.
Glad you had a lovely day @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, R sounds such a sweetie!
Last night sent out 3 emails either notifying we are dealing with dad's estate or chasing others for information so we can deal with dad's estate 🙄 so will count that as 1 🐸 as were done straight after each other. I have a form to fill out and will tackle that tonight.
Today we have the joy of the dc visiting the dentist 🤪, it is cold today so we will leave visiting the beach and might go on a bike ride instead. Need to decide what area to tackle next.... the list feels endless!2024 decluttering Campaign

Good to hear the surgery went well @weenancyinAmerica, keeping fingers crossed for the next one too.
Sounds like a lovely day out @Mrs_Salad_Dodger and I will note down a few of those places to take my "nephew" too when he's a little bit older.
Love the blanket @Liverpool_Anne I'm sure it will be very much appreciated.
An extra bag of stuff to be recycled went out last night so that's 12/100 now for the parents but we couldn't get my mum's bank stuff sorted last night so have to try and start that process online over the weekend.

Thank you everyone for the lovely warm welcome I have received! 😁
I've been in London for the past three days so haven't made a start on anything yet and it's dh's birthday this weekend so we've got family over - I'll clean today but the decluttering mission won't start in earnest until Monday...
Can I ask what MMiM means? I've been trying to work it out but it just hurts my brain! 🤦♀️😂

Now, was mmim started as mini something in March?? Then there was an April one, back to mmim for May and now we have jjij, which is jettison junk in June

@Florenceem apologies for getting the hospital facility wrong. I hope MrF finds the cottage hospital more engaging for him and are clearly supportive in advising him what he is capable of.
@weenancyinAmerica - speedy recovery.
@Dfw38 - please don't worry about a list you create, it is your written focus so you can see where you are going with items of "interest" along the way.
Dsis2 and I did another 3 hrs with some help from my DS at parents house got another room cleaned and fully emptied. Tidied and bagged up ready for removal of stuff for the tip hopefully at the weekend when I meet DB there. Some useful stuff for the garden came home tonight - Justin and May-do are not granted access here

Daisy xx@leftatthetrafficlights and @daisy_1571 it was Mini Missions in March (then Mini Missions in May).Status update:I've concluded that apart from DH's junk (contained to the garage, his study and his "half" of the wardrobe) and the kitchen food overstock, I am basically decluttered and I'm just maintenance decluttering now. That isn't to say there is nothing to go as there is definitely the odd thing or two, but they are sparsely located around the house and very hard to find/spot now. I doubt I will ever feel done with two little kids, but the place is definitely more organised. The trick will be keeping on top of it now. So, I will continue looking for 10 things a day to go and see where I get to. It takes a lot of looking/thinking/challenging about whether I really use everything in front of me, so I don't want to set the number too high, but equally I want to keep thinking about it otherwise this place will get cluttered in no time. It is basically the kids stuff that re-clutters as I'm quite good at not buying stuff but I can't control outside forces (i.e. grandparents, kids clubs, school etc).I do need to rummage through the shed at some point as I'm sure there is the odd thing to go in there. I probably need to help DH with the garage, but I think I've been through the tiny amount I was allocated for my bird food/vases/indoor pots (I will double check I got everything) and there's barely anything left. Also he needs to buy his extra storage for there before I will consider helping him organise declutter the rest.Saying all this, I'm finding it easy to find the 10 things a day with some thinking at the moment. I know I have more plastic plant pots to go that are lurking around the garden/shed somewhere. I've been asking myself when I go about my normal business whether there is a drawer/cupboard I hate opening/using as that usually means it is too cluttered and I have a look to see if there is anything to go in it. I also need to look at DS's room again as it's a constant mess, so there's probably some stuff to go in it. He's pretty good at decluttering though, so shouldn't be too tricky.I also have more digital decluttering to do re: photos/videos and a bit more to do on emails. I am down to 1,500 emails in total across everything saved neatly in folder, inbox, sent etc from about 10k ish and I'm no longer counting emails being regularly deleted as they are now automatically permanently deleted from the trash folder in 30 days. I have an arbitrary target of below 1,000 emails and also need to get my inbox down to zero (it's currently at 65).Tidying needs to catch up as it is similar to the digital decluttering.... so not a mess, but just a bit untidy and I need to sort out all the odds and ends languishing in every room. It's the last 5-10% that always seems to take the longest! I will get there eventually... it's all going in the right direction. Just doing a bit a day.Decluttering for today:Decluttering is already done for today and I've already made a start on the weekend's allocation.Digital:

@Florenceem DBro has a catheter (and until recently nephrostomies in both kidneys with bags attached). Normal trousers will be fine and, as MrF has lost weight, it may help as he’ll have extra room for bags and his new plumbing etc.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hello Folks,
So many posts to catch up on. Liverpool Anne, beautiful work on the baby blanket. Weenancy, I am glad to hear your cataract op went smoothly. Florenceem MrF’s new billet sounds just what he needs. Very similar to one my Mum went to. They were only supposed to stay for 6 weeks maximum but she came out after 4 weeks. I know it’s a long distance but it may only be for a short time. 😘 I feel for everyone involved with clearing parents homes and estates. Some organisations have been really helpful and some wanting all manner of hoops jumped through. Post office savings being the most difficult so far. Mrs SD it sounds like you had a grand day out and the weather was kind. I love the company of little kids.
A lovely visit by DS. We took a picnic round to visit my Mum. She has knitted some beautiful things for his baby. He has given me plenty of pointers for my project. I’ve been thinking about it 10 years already!! No need to rush these things.Progress with the top garden. We are going to borrow a goat 🐐 to clear the vegetation a bit. My Dad brought a goat home when I was a kid. It lived in the field behind our house. No body would drink the milk and it used to bite! It really did go to live on a farm. It came from my Grandad who had to get rid of it because it ate Grandma’s washing off the line! Just leaving some threads pegged.
DS going home shortly after we have surveyed the top garden. He says he will help me with it in the school summer holidays, possibly bringing some rugby buddies for muscle.Vx:18
