@Fizz2015 and @TC77 i would love to help you declutter, although I fear I would be closer to a Dilly than a Stacey! I get more ruthless by the day over here… if it isn’t nailed down it goes 😂. What a fab job that would be to help people declutter though 🤔

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed

2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off - 

3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)

4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend

5. Don’t put it down, put it away

6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc

7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

I returned to the kitchen & cleaned 3 of the upper cupboards - 45 minutes. I then spent an initial 15 minutes on the cupboard above the hob 😱 Disgusting is not quite a strong enough word 🤢 I have retired from the fray for a while & will have a coffee & watch some TV 😉 to psych myself up to finish 😂 I am going to watch the last 30 minutes of Albert RN 🙂 Returned to the kitchen for another 45 minutes & cleaned not only the last 3 cupboard doors & handles but also the visible sides of the cupboards - 6 in all (washed, rinsed & dried) + the boiler casing & dusted the spot light fitting 🥳 To finish off I put away ALL cleaning equipment, put the rinsing & drying cloths in a bag for washing & having made a start on using the many packets of specialist wipes managed to bin 18 wipes 🙂 I am feeling quite pleased with myself as for the first time in years I started a task & fully completed it 😅 In honour of that, I am awarding myself a medal 🏅😉 There is still a lot to do in the kitchen but I will leave that until next week - breaking it into bite sized chunks of work 😉 Dinner tonight is a bolognaise sauce from the freezer with penne as the pasta of choice 🙂 Wudupa. Today’s news about G was not quite so good as yesterday - didn’t speak at all not even to the nurses. Apparently the doctors think there might be a jumbled circuit in her brain 😔 However, they do appear confident that working with a speech therapist will lead to a successful outcome 🙂 DH is of the opinion that G has possibly been trying too hard & doing too much in her efforts to leave the hospital & go home 😔

Fizz2015, I think we should hold a ballot to see who gets to hire vulpix first 😅 Now that is what I call ‘considered purchasing’ 👏 You should never, ever feel guilty spending money on yourself 😉especially as your purchases were not what I would call frivolous 😂 

TC77, isn’t it such a nuisance when clothes shrink 😉 Fingers crossed that your “v carefully worded email’ gets a good result & moves your frog a long way forward 🤞You are very welcome 😊

Fizz2015, I disagree about there being no excuses about putting off the decluttering 🤣 I think we all have plenty of other more pleasant things to be doing with our time 😉 However, I am sending lots of positive vibes your way & lots of ‘decluttering mojo’ to get you started 😉

QueenJess, I think most of us probably need a ‘Dilly’ more than a ‘Stacey’ when it comes to decluttering 🤣 I agree helping other people declutter would be a ‘fab’ job 🙂 but I think you would probably have to be a combination of Stacey & Dilly 😉

Morning all. Off to the hairdresser at 8 am. My hair hasn't been cut since December.
Added to my signature.
No plans to go to the charity shop today so will be decluttering - this morning - may even do some more in the garden.
Feeling positive today.

@QueenJess I am in awe of your decluttering. And totally with you on lego. I am currently trying to put sets back together after DD tipped all into one box. It's a work in progress.
Think I need to bingewatch Dilly and Stacey again. All the carboots seem to be starting this weekend so might brave one.
@Florenceem enjoy the haircut and being pampered. 
My last day off work today before returning tomorrow on a phased return. I am working 4 hours so just enough to start looking at emails and my training that has expired.

Tried to shift my black bin but it is too heavy. I will have to ask for help to get it up the drive. Still getting stuff ready for Sil's trip to the tip. Not regretting a thing that has left the house.

Florenceem, so glad your are feeling positive today and all your decluttering must be beginning to show results in the house?

I walked around the house this morning and felt very depressed, I started the year with such great hopes to clear, declutter, sort and deep clean each space/ room. STarted well and managed 4 rooms, but RL has gotten in the way and now even those spaces need to be done again. It doenst help that the lounge is chocka with all the lego and I cant get away from it! But that is a good job to be doing and it will means a lots of boxes reclaimed when it all goes (Theres 15 boxes of lego, all seperated by colour and some shapes!)

MRS SD ~ well done on your kitchen efforts, a medal very well deserved. I hate how digusting the tops of the cupboards get in our kitchen with the grease and dust then sticking, its grim!!

Im going to make a list and see if I can manage a few tasks along with all the work I need to crack on with and the more lego building this evening!!

When I had my new kitchen planned and installed - I decided not to have wall cabinets - makes the room feel bigger + no cleaning of high cupboards. It made me declutter kitchen stuff but I do have some cabinets in the utility area/garage. Back from hairdresser feeling decluttered of some hair.

Oh dear!  Email from the chap that overseas the warehouse* at work asking for volunteers to help with a spring clean.  The optimist in me was about to leap up and agree to help and then I remembered my own debris.  So instead I've suggested that I could, if necessary, come over one day with the OH's monster truck and do a run to the tip.  

*big unit on an industrial estate where all the donations for rehousing help are kept.  Plus excess food for the foodbank.  Plus blankets and winter coats for when it's cold.  I'm glad now that I didn't try to foist my excessive Christmas decorations on them in January as I expect they'd be for the dump now as seasonally unnecessary.

Good result while doing a declutter this morning - found £43.61 - every little helps. Plus found lots of dust and fluff.

I wish I could find more than 5p when tidying up Mrs F.  Started the day with a few frogs.  I now have until 2.15 to get stuff done and sorted.  Cup of tea (3rd of day) and shower first.  Dishwasher died so I had to empty and wash by hand.  Need to pack for my trip to DDs tomorrow.

576 Contacted company re dishwasher guarantee and booked repair for when I get back next week.  Should be covered under 5 year warranty.  All paper-work found in correct box with guarantee details and copies of original emails. 
577 Studied more legal stuff for DS2 - yet more forms to fill in but everything has to be done to the right people on right day - so complicated for ordinary people. I have a law degree and I struggle sometimes to understand. 
578 Children's clothes sorted and uniform ready for tomorrow.  DS2 was able to do school run this morning and should be able to do tomorrow as well.  Hoping to leave for DDs as soon as they go to school in the morning.
