1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did clean the last two low cupboard doors & handles - only took 20 minutes 🥳 DH got home from the hospital about 19:45 as he managed to catch an earlier train 🙂 G was a lot better today, awake & fully responsive & back to her usual self - rude gestures, smiles & chuckles. DH was over the moon 😊Unfortunately medication is not healing the stent points of entry in her groin, so G needs an operation to stitch the arteries & prevent seeping. Doctor confirmed it is a routine operation & G is now strong enough 🙂 Dinner was fried chicken, boiled baby potatoes, sweetcorn & peas + DH & I finished the lo cauliflower. Wudupa.

Wednesday is another overcast day with a rather chilly breeze. I was up & dressed just before noon 😔Straight into cheerleading as I have fallen behind again 🙊 Forgot to mention that yesterdays I had a conversation with neighbour G who was very excited to have completed the Marathon in 6 hours 30 mins & raised £3,600 for Aspire (spinal injuries support charity) 👏 He kept that under his hat 😅Although he had a thoroughly enjoyable time & only took a day to recover, he stated that he has no intention of running another full marathon But will run half marathons in future 😂
Soontobeoap, how brilliant 🤩 Thank you for sharing your success story with the compost - no wonder you were excited 😊 Do you think DH might have noticed the missing tree but has decided not to mention it as the garden looks so much better 😉😉
Well done on your garden decluttering daisy_1571 👏 How interesting, there was me thinking you had misspelt ‘curling’ 😉 only to learn something new 😀 Your new hobby ‘kurling’ sounds rather fun 🤩Please do take it easy today to rest your legs & hips 🙏
Florenceem, sounds like MrF is now well enough to get bored & is letting his imagination run away with him 😔 What a nice person R is, taking time to visit MrF & pray with you both 🙂 I agree with retiredinfrance that it is a sensible idea to take a day off from visiting MrF. You really do need to start looking after yourself before you become too exhausted to do anything 🙏 You have nothing to feel guilty about - Floss put it very well “Please don't feel guilty - you will not be fit to help MrF and work with your SA colleagues if you do not take some time to rest & rejuvenate yourself x”
Lovely post retiredinfrance & thank you for sharing your experiences with your MiL as regards hospital visiting 👏
Dfw38, fingers crossed that you are successful in the ballot & will get to experience the full atmosphere of next years London Marathon 🤞 Neighbour G did say that the support along the route really does keep you going 😊 When you frame your t-shirt & medal, I really think you should also frame your Degree certificate & hang your Graduation photo as well 🙏 Both getting the Degree & running the Marathon are events that should be celebrated & acknowledged 😊 Very thoughtful observations for Florenceem - thank you 🙏
Very well said Floss 😊
Lovely sentiments charlies_tribe 😊 Fingers crossed that you can work something out re your financial affairs 🤞 Excellent decluttering especially the clothing 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way for sailing past the half way point to your target 🙂 Sorry to hear that DD2 is digging in her heels & still wanting home schooling 😔
Dfw38, What a brilliant result from the sale of your mum’s gold jewellery 🤩 & what a great idea to buy a piece of jewellery to your taste & save the rest for ‘adventures’ 😊 A fitting memorial to your mum 😊 I think I will join you in MMiM - mini missions in May - 31 + 9 that I missed in March 😥
More excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 How serendipitous that DD & SiL have already booked a Tip trip 😊 As to the champagne, fingers crossed that it will be OK - if the cork ‘pops’ when opened it is a good start🤞 A short story for you - in December 2001 I won a Jeroboam of Champagne which I gave to a family member for a large party approximately 15 years later 😬Everyone had their fingers & toes crossed that it would be fit to drink 🤞 and much to everyone’s surprise, especially mine, the cork not only popped loudly but the taste tester pronounced that it was delicious 🤩 There was enough for everyone to have at least half a glass 😊 Hopefully you have managed to get in touch with the hospital by now 🤞
EnergyShifter, sorry to hear that you are still feeling tired & low but hopefully some time in the TLC Carriage over the next 6 days will help you “reset” 🤞 Shame about the trainers 😔 - perhaps you can eBay them & recover some of your money 😉 Thank you for my ❤️
Gers, I will read later - thanks for the link 👏
TC77, please don’t beat yourself up 🙏 - you have so much going on at the moment 😱 From what you have intimated previously, my 2p’s worth is that getting on top of & organising your electronic clutter, both personal & work related, is the main priority 🙂 Everything is crossed that one of DD1’s offers on flats will be accepted 🤞 Also sending good wishes to DD2 that her studying is going well 😊
Brie, beautiful sentiments & hopefully reassuring for Florenceem 😊 Fingers crossed that the rain comes so that the rucksacks get both a good airing & a wash 😉🤞 So sad to hear that so many people are living in their cars or the woods 😔 An appalling situation in this day & age 😖
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Especially pleased to hear that everything was picked up 🙂Keep up the good work with using the packaging 😉
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 I do like the idea of “retired underwear” 😅
All caught up 🙂 DH is finally up - struggling a bit with his legs as yesterday he walked almost 14,000 steps 😱 DSis has been up & about but is sticking to her room as usual 😉

I like that short bird, retired underwear.Well done Dfw38, what an an amazing accomplishment in finishing the marathon or even contemplating doing one in the first place.Floss. I can say from experience that breast clinic care is outstanding. Feel free to pm me anytime. X
Had a day off yesterday and went out. Today I have done another jewellery box and been ruthless. I have some Victorian bits that might make some money for the church shop. I have been imagining my children emptying my house and it being overwhelming for them. I don’t want them to think just because I valued something that they should. I have also done one of the shoe drawers. Only two pairs of tired flip flops for the bin. The shoes have only been worn a couple of times and they are immaculate in their boxes. We may go on another cruise one day. I got rid of my high heels some years ago sadly.New total 329

Did some more decluttering before I went out this morning. I went into town to distribute table sale posters. Then I went to the SA friendship/lunch club - had a lovely dinner and saw friends.
I phoned the hospital to say that I wouldn't be there today but visiting tomorrow.
Lovely day here so I did some tidying up in the front garden - my back knows all about it. Big bag of garden waste for the tip.
Going to finish emptying the wine rack - don't know why it was kept - even before we signed the SA soldier's covenant we didn't drink alcohol. The bottles are from when Mr F was a social drinker in business organisations before we married.
Officer printed off LPOA forms for me - what a thick wad! I also have typed letters of authority for Mr F to sign tomorrow. SA officers are going to witness the signature on LPOA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Glad you had a good day, Florenceem and you seem to have got lots done. The SA lunch club and seeing friends is just a perfect way to enjoy life. Hugs for you both and everyone else with troubles.17

I have never seen my general waste - black bin so full - hope I can push/pull it up the drive.
I have thrown out lots of rubbish from the garage - still heaving in there but I will get it done.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem you are a marvel. ❤️
Very good news about your Niece Mrs SD.Our bedroom is done. Every single item in it has been assessed. What remains allegedly is useful and will be used. The other shoe drawer looked at and beautiful shoes admired. Bags drawers and scarf drawers done. Wardrobe done. Everything out and only the keepers went back. The wardrobe is still full but a little less crowded. The church shop is having a fashion show so several things with tags on their way to them along with jewellery, bags and scarves. It does smart a little as some things had cost hundreds. All for a good cause.Just from our bedroom over 100 items ousted, not counting recycling and a very few items for the bin. No cleaning yet. The plumber still hasn’t finished. He put the wrong flooring down so still has to change it. 🤦♀️

@vulpix how much do your charge for your services? My whole bedroom needs doing. Clothes and stuff everywhere as not enough room in the wardrobes. I definately could not exist on a capsule wardrobe🤣
Today I went for a drive and dropped off all the Tetra scheme recycling. Also spent 2 hours in go outdoors deciding on a new waterproof coat (sizing is so varied). I ended up buying 2, (I had saved birthday money for one but still feel guilty spending a lot of money on myself.) The coats will last and will be doing lots of practise walks for our trek and it rains in Wales!

@Fizz2015 my room (whole house) too.
Have a big work thing in the morning so need to be smart. Argh thought my jackets may not do up but they don't even close! Giving myself to Oct to get into clothes or will go. Assuming people are abit more causal now. Have my next cs trousers which are quite smart
V carefully worded email to move one frog along.
Going to do a list for tomorrow as find this does mean I remember a few things.
Mrs SD thank you for encouraging me and others.
