@Liverpool_Anne - thanks for asking. I have been reading along, worried about Florenceem and her problems. My roommate who hasn't had a job in years has been working almost everyday - and unfortunately it is her stuff in the way of decluttering, not mine. And she hasn't moved much of anything in the last few weeks. We did get the two males roommates moved finally - 1 up and one downstairs, but the one who is now downstairs is under the weather health wise so I have been caring for him. At least I don't have to go up the stairs to do it. Surprisingly for Southern California, we have had so much rain we don't have a drought any more, but it has kept me from cleaning up the outside. Been pouring vinegar on the weeds to kill them off - 10 bottles so far. It seems to be working but the remaining weeds are growing so fast.
I have been working on my 4 computer classes in between. I finally got a cell phone as one of the classes is on how to use it and I am learning - but I still don't like them. Maybe it will get better. Still working at the library as we are short of people to run the little bookstore we have. This is the week of our monthly sale - so a lot of books are being decluttered from here. We have thousands - literally - so it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
I made up a list of the things I have to do this week and it has forty-five items on it! Got three done this morning, but tomorrow looks like a big frog day - have a lot of phone calls to make before going to the library to sort books. So Monday is phone call day, Tuesday is half class day, followed by working at the library, then working at the Family History Center. Wednesday is zoom class day, followed by the library. Thursday I will be working at the library while two of the roommates take 12 plus bags of cans and bottles to the recycling center, then to the Family history Center in the evening again. Friday is the book sale. Saturday is trying to do most of the remaining frogs. But I do read the posts here everyday when I get up. It is part of my routine - up, feed the animals, do my e-mails and then on here to check up on everyone, then class work, before starting the dreaded list. Sometimes I even remember to get breakfast in there. Every evening i work on the parish register I am indexing (where my great great grandfather was from in Switzerland) for a couple of hours. Who has time for a social life.
Hope all of you are getting better weather now. Spring is coming on slowly here - gray overcast skies but it is to clear up and be nice and sunny according to the weatherman in time for our book sale. This month we are giving away VHS tapes - hundreds of them if anyone wants them still. The children's book give away was a big success last month. We have decided to try a different section each month.
Grandmanerd is posting on several other places including the Debt-free section. I just posted on there also.
Good luck on your week and take of yourselves. Even losing one of you is upsetting (RIP Nelski).22 -
Back home again after taking DGD2 home. Lovely drive over the Derbyshire Peak District on Saturday but duller on the way home yesterday. It takes me just over 2 hours. Diet has gone to pot slightly but only back up a pound this morning so I will be very good this week. Had lovely Italian meal out with DS1 and family. Went to garden centre before I left yesterday but resisted plants and cakes.
Hugs to all of you in need especially Mr and Mrs F.
505 Last of holiday stuff put away
506 An hour spent fighting the electronics but think I now have Alexa and Hive talking to each other again. I came back to a room temperature of 24 when house had been empty all weekend.
507 Legal matter for DS2 settled in his favour and court for today cancelled. Now we wait to see if he gets his money.
508 Zoom meeting of committee Friday - report made and papers shredded
509 Forgot to post birthday card - will send today with apologies - I had better get the May ones bought- 4 birthdays and a wedding anniversary.
Various jobs to do today - DS2 had day booked off for legal stuff but not needed now.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Morning all xx
I've been reading along and my heart goes out to you @Florenceem ❤
And to you @Dfw38 ❤
I've been comfortably ensconced in the TLC carriage forever. I have the best of decluttering intentions but RL, particularly the paid stuff, takes all my oomph. I find myself on a vicious merry-go-round of challenging work days, arrive home totally stressed out, inhale comfort food, mostly sugar, slump. Repeat. Lots of decluttering ideas wimbling around my head, especially at 3 am, but all theory. I'm very good at theory.
I've finished reading the Duncton Wood series of books and they are all in cs bag. I discovered four RD Select Editions on the same shelf (in the TARDIS) and I've read one ( now in cs bag) and I'm three quarters of the way through the second.
When I came down this morning I put one of my 'wimbles' into action: I removed Anne of Green Gables and The Family from One End Street from the bookshelf in my bedroom and they are now sitting with Anne of Avonlea and Further Adventures of TFfOES on the TARDIS bookshelf in LR. Reunited at last. The two Annes will be re-read and go to CS. I think TFfOESs will be staying - the little girl inside me refuses to even consider letting go of such a much loved tale. So be it.
Hoping there'll be further wimbles to report later 😊
Much love to all
Rxx

Another wimble completed 😊
RoD1 - English Gem. German Gem and French Gem dictionaries brought down and put into cs bag. ( I left school after taking my A levels in Eng. Lit, French and German.....in 1978. 😙 - I'm assuming that's the nonchalantly whistling emoji 😉)

A SA friend is taking me to the hospital this afternoon.
My daughter is taking me home - she will call at the hospital on her way from school - she works not far from the hospital..Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi, I have caught up on pages of posts now. What a shock about your niece Mrs SD. I hope things improve very soon.Liverpool Anne, I never gave a thought to the recent troubles in Paris. I shan’t say anything to DIL as she is a huge worrier. The rugby is whoever is in the World Cup final. I am always up for an adventure. The trip may be eventful for all the wrong reasons!
Hope you gave me a wave the other day Granny Kate.No plumber today. The flooring has not arrived. All sorts of things have been left on the top garden by various tradesmen. Off to the tip with as much as we can get in the car. Also on the cards , tidy upstairs. The plumber has been using the spare room as storage. Empty boxes etc. I am not going to bother dusting anywhere until he has finished and gone.Get well wishes and strength to those in need.Vx:16 -
Hi all, I found this and thought it might be useful for some.

Heya people!I'm really sorry for not being on at all for the last few months. Things turned a little rubbish.
- Me & Hubs almost divorced and had a really bad rocky patch (We're okay now, though)
- I was fired from my job on March 8 2023 for stupid reasons/partially my Team leaders fault
- Been having bad depression due to this & fibromyalgia
- Not having any luck with getting a job but I am on Job Seekers & trying really hard to apply everyday
- Relationship between me & my mum and me & my nan has turned sour so not really speaking with them
- Fibromyalgia got painfully worse and I am struggling though doctors cannot help as I am on max medication for it
Hugs for those who need them! x18 -
Mrs SD, sorry about G, I hope the reduction in sedatives helps, but it must be so scary..Vulpix, I wouldn't worry if it's rugby, they're not the same as football fansNot much decluttering going on, just collating some rag for the CS, and when OH goes to work this afternoon, I may blitz an area.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi15

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning everyone. Up & dressed by 10:15 🙂 DH left about 08:00 & headed off for an overnight RBR trip. It is sunny outside so may go out later but first I will catch up on the cheerleading 😉🤞
regnbue, sounds like you needed time away during your 10 days off. Although I fell off my sofa when I read £40 for breakfast 😱 😖 Surely that must have been at least 7 courses but probably not 😔 Where on earth do they get the idea that it is OK to charge that amount of money for breakfast 🤔 Really doesn’t bear thinking about what dinner would have cost 😞 Guest of the day should at least have got a free breakfast 😊 Sorry to hear that your hands are painful 😣 Hopefully the promised warmer weather will help 🤞
Floss, mimosa for breakfast brings back happy memories of last year’s holiday in St. Lucia 😊
TC77, well done on your gardening & always nice to receive a compliment 😊 Has DD1 managed to find a new flat yet? Or does the fact that she is storing stuff with you mean that she is still looking?
You are most welcome regnbue 😊 You are obviously getting better at keeping clutter out as you only accepted 11 magazines & only have 8 left 👏 Excellent decluttering & dealing with frogs 👏
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like a very busy Saturday & you got a lot done 👏 I think sometimes a text can be far more useful than a phone call as you can take your time working out what & how to say something without causing offence 🙂
Florenceem, thanks for the information re hot water bottles 👏 Sending hugs for you & MrF 🤗
Thanks for the extra & useful information re hot water bottles regnbue 👏
dND, lovely memories of your dad 😊 Hopefully when MrF is better he can find something similar 🤞Excellent news about finding a removals company 🙂 Now I have everything crossed that the house sale is completed & your buyer is not insistent on moving in immediately 🤞Sounds like you are definitely on a roll with the decluttering 👏 Walking 10,000 steps a day will definitely get you fit but do remember to take some time out for yourself to sit & relax with no decision making other than what to have for dinner 😉 - the TLC Carriage is always available 😊
Blue_Doggy, sorry to hear that RL has been busier than expected 😔 but nevertheless some good decluttering 👏 Hopefully Canine Doggy will forgive you for not cuddling him as much as usual 🤞😉
Wednesday2000, good luck with the eBay sales 🍀 Fingers crossed that it doesn’t take too much time to set up a new account 🤞
Lovely to see you stellata 👋 Sorry to hear that life has been so hectic & I hope that your recovery from Covid speeds up 🤞 Shame about the Ex but his loss. Great decluttering 👏
Lovely post Brie 😊 Thanks for the reminder re Turtledoves 👏
Excellent decluttering & tidying Muddy_Walker 👏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂
Good work with the VHS tapes TC77 👏 Enjoy the seaside air 😊
A perfect place to stop at the end of a page 😉 Will make a 2nd cuppa & try to decide what to do today 😉
