Hi all, just lost my post twice !!!! So here are the very edited highlights. Took stuff to the tip, finally sorted out to meet up with ex line manager to celebrate his new job, arranged appointment for another union thing next week, uu face wash and hand cream, moved OHs weekend bag upstairs from the hall, deleted 200 emails.
@Florenceem, I echo what others have said about trying to get some medical help as soon as you can. It might be his new medication is making him worse. My BiL had a problem with some medication and my dsis also suspected dementia but it proved not to be the case, just his new medication. Please take care of yourself as well as MrF. Hugs
@Vulpix looking forward to seeing the pics of your new bathroom
Finally off to bed, tomorrow we are driving up to Morecambe for lunch and will have to set off in good time as the traffic will probably be busy as it is the Easter weekend.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
582 uu face wash

Morning All, beautiful blue skies here. Washing on and will peg out once finished. Had a busy first week of half term, we were up and out early every day this week. Took picnics and flasks of tea/hot chocolate with us. Went to a lovely National Trust yesterday, Duffryn Gardens. All the spring flowers were in full bloom, it was beautiful.
Going to have a more chilled weekend at home, focusing on garden, decluttering and packing for holiday (yes I still haven't done it!) but I have sorted the euro's. Still need to sort airport parking and boarding passes. Think I need to make a list.
Hugs to those who need them, please be kind to yourself, the TLC carriage is always open.

Good morning lovelies, happy good friday. Its also DHs birthday today, so nice to have a lie in / brekkie in bed and a nice slow start to the day! DH wants to walk up a hill today, so thats what we are going to do. Not manys hills in hampshire mind :Dso it wont be too exhausting or strenuousIn other news the bathtaps/ shower was leaking last week and so DH had to fix, this led to redoing the moldy sealant and thsi led to find crumbly grout, so now we have non leaking shower/bath, nice shiny new white sealant and grout. SO while the bathroom was out of action I decided to deep clean the paint and window which is high high. and this led to repainting (to cover a little mold which deep clean hadnt completetly removed) WHich led to re painting and freshening up the whole bathroom. (its v small for a family bathroom) SO yeaterday I bought a new bathmat (deep green) and 2 new hand towels and cleaned the sink cupbaord out and the tall thin cupboard. Now, Just need to clean the bath panels / de limescale the shower hose and clean the sink and im done. Whoop de whoop!!!Only the rest of the house to go. Freshening up the paint really makes such a difference.Have a great weekend allFlowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedAlthough I did nothing yesterday I still forgot to post 😔 Oh well c’est la vie 😉Thursday continued - Put away shopping. Bowl of hm soup 😋 It rained most of the afternoon, quite heavily at times so all gardening plans were suspended. Dinner was pork steaks, mash, tomatoes, green beans & cauliflower. A couple of hours later we had apple & blackberry crumble with custard. I used full fat milk to make the custard as last time I used semi-skimmed & it never thickened up ☹️ Wudupa
946 - 947 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
948 Kitchen detritus binned
Friday is dry & sunny but only managed to wake up 11:45 a.m. Up & dressed having my first cuppa & settling down to wake up properly & attempt to catch up with the cheerleading 😉
daisy_1571, I managed to change from a Ladybug to a Cricket 😉 I will see if I can become a Butterfly 😉 The selection of answers still seems a bit unclear to me 😔
Dfw38, so sorry to hear that your dc were unable to have a close relationship with their granddad due to circumstances beyond your control 😔 Hopefully in a while, your eldest will be ready to talk to you 🤞Wednesday afternoon sounds like a lovely trip out 😊 & presumably the dc were as good as gold 😉Cannot say I blame you for not wanting to go to your dad’s 😔 So much is being thrown at you that I am surprised you haven’t left home ☹️ It was me that asked if you had any access to help with dc. Very sorry to hear that you are basically alone apart from any help that DH can give you 😔
Very thoughtful post TC77 😊 Hopefully the furniture repairs will be well done 🤞Great decluttering & dealing with frogs 👏
Well said Floss 👏 I agree that “no” is a complete answer 🙂 Although it is one of the most difficult to say without adding an explanation 😔
Liverpool_Anne, your friend lived a good life 🙂 What a remarkable woman arranging her own funeral. Nine wardrobes of clothes 🤩 not sure I have owned that many clothes in my lifetime 😅 Hope you have a lovely Easter 😊
GrannyKate, sounds like a bittersweet visit with your sil 😔 Hugs to both you & sil 🤗
dND What a wonderfully supportive & informative post 😊 Excellent decluttering in both the barn & the house👏 & good luck with flattening the cardboard boxes 🍀 Your plans are coming along nicely 🙂Great news about the purchaser bringing her dad for a visit & discussing a time line 🥳 Although you can well do without the stress of the added layer of bureaucracy from SAFER 😔 When we sold the French house we were lucky, as the land was being rented to a local farmer as extra grazing land for his milk herd & our buyers were very happy to continue with that arrangement. So am keeping everything crossed that SAFER make a quick decision and that you can find a removal agent 🤞🤞 Typical though - years of inactivity trying to sell & now everything has to be done in a few months 😉
2Scratters, what a thoughtful comment for Dfw38 😊 You have been busy 👏 btw ironing 🤔 what on earth is that 😂 Your description of dog de-furring brought a huge smile 😃
Brie, did your cats enjoy their brushing? DSis had one who loved it & the other who was akin to 2Scratters dog 😂
One page caught up so will post before I get distracted 😅

Sorry to hear that MrF seems to be getting worse, Florenceem ☹️ Hopefully you can persuade him to go to the doctors 🤞Hugs to you both.
Crazycatlady2, makes me really appreciate our council - 2 free collections per year of up to 5 items 🙂I love the arrangements for painting 😉 vulpix, lovely support of Florenceem 😊 Sounds like your rain yesterday arrived before ours 😔 Sorry to hear about another infected tooth 😣 Possibly your body’s way of telling you that you are doing too much & need to take some time out in the TLC Carriage 🙏 You must be getting so excited about having your first ever lovely bathroom 🥳 I am putting in a request for photos of your mum’s button box 🙏 so I can drool over yours as well as 2Scratters button box 😂
Florenceem, So very, very sorry to hear that MrF is struggling so badly & giving you such worry. All I can do is echo others suggestions to contact a doctor as soon as possible 🙏 even over MrF’s objections. We are all very concerned about you as this situation is wearing you down & could result in you becoming ill which is the last thing any of us want to see 😟
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 What a pain that you have ants in the kitchen ☹️ Is it a regular annual occurrence? I hope not & fingers crossed that the little black traps work quickly & efficiently 🤞
See you all later 👋

Had a quick visit from 2 Dgc - told them that they can't have their Easter chocs until Sunday - Nannie's rule. Their sibling doesn't eat chocolate or drink cola after having Covid - I had heard that it affects your taste buds.
Sunny here but a chilly wind direction - coming off the North Sea.
Did a bit of decluttering and then asked Mr F to check if a refund had gone into his account - that was big drama - he got so stressed - said he has lost his hard drive - again!
I have always left his office desks to him - but I started to sort them with him today. He clearly hasn't been coping by what I found on his desks - unopened letters and a lot of rubbish.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Mrs SD - yes ants are a regular occurrence - we live in a very sandy area not that far from where the Trent and the Humber estuary meet. (possibly 10 miles at most) My front garden was levelled some years ago and has a retaining wall making most of it level with the road - the lawn on top is a mass of ants every year - I think they probably have an underground metropolis out there. I need ant traps in kitchen and in bathroom which has an outside wall.
495 A selection of old plastic boxes given to DS2 to sort things in his van
496 A pair of DS2's trainers sitting in porch thrown away as large hole in bottom
497 Lots of cardboard going in recycling
498 DGCs counting plastic eggs for Easter Egg hunt found one which still had a chocolate in it from last year - binned
Realised my bank account had an extra £10 in it - cash back from Nationwide shopping in February as advertised on TV. Decluttered money at Mr T and then found new cafe (I did not have cake). Disappointed to find another favourite cafe had closed down. DS2 is going to make me some meals (pasta bake, shepherds pie etc) to take to caravan next week with children. Weight still only down by 7lbs but not going up again.2025 Decluttering Campaign 672/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
