After an abortive day in the shed last weekend we had a very successful day in the shed this Saturday. After some rejiggling and evaluating which we’d prefer to keep we ended up with 3 bags of charity. Honestly not quite sure how we managed that. Took them to the charity shop this morning too. We’ve also got one box for Ziffit sorted (DBro’s belongings) and another started. I do need to walk the sorted box to the drop off location but I’ll do that one afternoon this week.DBro remains in hospital. His scheduled surgery has been rescheduled twice now.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Had a little bit of time this morning and so I finally pulled out the offcuts of carpet hanging around under beds and behind doors. Kept the two we may actually use as mats and the rest are piled up in the garage ready to go to the tip next week (DH's job). Been putting that off for ages and not really sure why.. all done now though.I also picked out DD's toys to go into the attic for rotation (currently in a pile as I can't face going up there right now) so all her toys fit nicely in her room so it's all tidy again. I also rotated out DS's short sleeved t-shirts for the next size up, so those are also in the pile to go into the attic.Apart from that, it's just ongoing digital decluttering. I will get to the other decluttering projects eventually (and in this year). As long as progress continues to be made and things are getting better, that's fine for meDigital decluttering:

Went to Church. Mr F watched the service online at home.
Decided not to attend the afternoon service. First client coming to collect books so right decision as I need to be here. Mr F said the doorbell rang while I was at Church but he didn't answer the door.
I finished reading another book and managed 2 non spending days on Saturday and today.
Back to 4 bags in the hall for the charity shop.Day 2

Happened tofind power of attorney documents that I'd forgot we had from over 20 years ago. Could be very useful as we need to persuade Mum to agree to set up power of attorney.
I was struggling at the end with what to do next but it definitely helped having DD to encourage me to throw stuff.
Off work for two weeks now so will try to get more done although need to get out to the garden if the weather is OK.#13 2025 Cash Envelope (or online) Saving Challenge

Plenty going on here despite difficulties. You are all amazing.
I haven't actually got rid of anything today. I declined a visit to a local zoo with GS3 today. I felt bad but was very tired. I had a good lie in and then did a good few hours on the allotment. i amgetting rid of all the things I took from my old plot and haven't used including a builders bag of plastic bottles.
I met my plot buddy. I nicked half her plot. She has also done aload of work and so our plots are looking better. Good catch up too.
More for me to do there tomorrow. I have the plot on hold for the last few months. I think I have only been over 7 times all year. It was good to do something and make progress.

Congratulations Mr SD on the walking and fund raising.Florenceem - it sounds really difficult. Thinking of you.I have completely forgotten where I have got up to on decluttering posting - this week - some out things...jar opener we don't usesome stuff for technical drawingjacketrugFriday - significant progress on an ongoing furniture renovation project. Hopefully it is nearly finished now.Yesterday was quite a bit of frog battling - no decluttering but quite a bit of progress - so feel getting somewhere. Included ordering some stupidly cheap blinds - may not be ideal but as the ones in the house (before we moved here) are so old they have age hardened and are literally dropping to pieces definitely needed to do something as the room gets very warm in the summer.Today was a big garden tidy so we have decluttered the sufficiently that I have 3 full compost bins (were all empty / mearly empty). Hoping it packs down a bit as still more to go in. Larger stuff will need to go to the tip this week. Ashamed to say that the narrow concrete path in the garden is a lot wider than I thought. The lawn had grown over it significantly before we moved in and I had just assumed it was narrow.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons16

Client who came to collect books - was lovely - gave Mr F a box of Lindt chocolates and a card.
I have more clients to contact tomorrow - those who I didn't get an answer from yesterday - I wouldn't ring them on a Sunday.
I am dreading tomorrow's interaction with the difficult client.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Florenceem hope the meeting with difficult client goes well tomorrow, and hugs to all in need.
RL taken over, week off work but did at least some work each day, and little at my dad's. DD1 had MH wobble but hanging on in there, still no flat to move to, and yesterday long drive to Loughborough with DD2 to check out uni, and then she decided to play for old football team today down in kent, they won which was good, but she injured her ankle so instead of getting her to do some tidying she lay down with an ice pack!
Few things in CS bag including cake decorating things (unopened), and got someone to do a quote at Dad's house. Some difficult emails sent, but had lovely afternoon with a friend so decluttered some stress and came back to get through chores, some bank stuff, booked blood test, email, and on friday checked on dishwasher that insurance has offered without paying more. I can't get excited about dish washers. Need to phone and confirm tomorrow and heavy work week . Will add nos later in the week (another guestimate). Also a folder out which is good as too many, one item sold which should be posted tomorrow.16 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Did a 2nd load of washing which was also dried in the td😔 The sun did come out about 16:00 but still very cold with a chilly breeze. Last of the hm soup for my lunch. I spent the entire afternoon watching episodes of Murder She Wrote. DH phoned 3 times, letting me know his progress. eventually arrived home at 19:00 as the Blackwall Tunnel was closed. Dinner was the 3rd HF meal - Duck with a red wine jus with garlic mash & honey glazed carrots. Wudupa.

Excellent decluttering of the shed florianatwobob 👏 Well done on getting 3 bags for CS & delivering them 👏 As this was one of your original goals for 2023, I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️😊 Hope the Ziffit box earns you/DBro lots of pennies 🤞 Sorry to hear that DBro’s procedure has already been delayed twice 😔
Excellent decluttering of carpet off cuts QueenJess 👏 Carpet off cuts are one of those Justins that seem to move in & stay a while (sometimes years) before allowing themselves to be moved out 🙄 & no-one ever understands or knows why 🤣 Also great work with DD’s toys & DS’s t-shirts & the continuing digital decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
Florenceem, thinking of you & MrF 😌
Excellent decluttering coconurtaler 👏 I am awarding both you & DD a medal 🏅🏅 each 😊 Hopefully she will be able to offer even more encouragement whilst she is home from uni 🤞 Fingers crossed that you can get the Power of Attorney sorted quickly 🤞
bit_by_bit, you might not have decluttered anything from the house but you decluttered plenty of items from the allotment 👏 Hopefully you & your plot buddy have done enough to keep the committee happy 😉 as I seem to remember they can be a bit authoritarian 😔
Thanks skogar 🙂 Excellent decluttering, dealing with frog’s & furniture renovation 👏 You have definitely been busy especially in the garden 🥳👏
What a lovely client Florenceem 😊 Good luck with the rest of the clients 🍀
Fingers crossed that ‘stroppy client’ had a good weekend & is more reasonable when you talk to her 🤞
TC77, sorry to hear that your week off wasn’t as restful & productive as you wanted 😔 However you did manage to do quite a lot 👏 Very pleased to hear that you got to spend an afternoon with a friend 😊 Sending get well wishes to DD - hope her ankle heals quickly 🤞
Off to bed shortly & hopefully will wake up raring to go 😉
