Thank you mrs SD. The cards did take a wgile to make so you are probably right. I have added 8 more to my total.
Forgot also that I decluttered a crocheted cardi and little dress that I had made to daughter for her friends baby. So 2 more and my craft stash is depleting. Also green hat that I completed was claimed by Grandson so that is 11 in total.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

So after RL took over for the past few months ( dose of corona , moving FiL from one home to another after visiting some homes that ranged from worst - not sure who the patients and the carers were to others that resembled a spa hotel - beautiful modern complex without any warmth or empathy , we have hopefully found a middle ground for his complex/challenging needs.)
It has spurred me to get back to my declutter mission, plus I have found the simple things in life can bring so much satisfaction i.e. who knew breaking up boxes could release so much pent up emotions.
CS bag, paper bin, general bin, plastic recycling and battery collection box all filling up.
Listing done on the Bay, one sale posted and prep being done for the listing freebies at the weekend.
So onwards and upwards !
Best wishes to all that are facing their own challenges/battles and the like.
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)15 -
Today's efforts so far with mainly digital decluttering. Need to continue clearing/tidying the bedroom, getting rid of "to do" items that have been hanging around and sow some seeds for the garden. GRR Lost a post again. New laptop on order.
Hello there, it is nice to be back reading along with you all. Soontobeoap, beautiful makes. Those bead cards look very fiddly and time consuming.
Mr V has spent the morning on the phone with various agencies dealing with MIL's estate. Moving things along very slowly.
Yay!!!!! the builders have just turned up and are taking about 2 tons of stone away from the top garden. I have paid for the stone and it was excess for the job but I am happy to give it away just to be rid of it. I say top garden,it is a disused lane which no one owns. I will smarten it up and a cultivate a wild garden up there. There are a few natural English blue bells already which I hope to encourage. I need to do my homework as there is a stream which tends to keep the ground waterlogged. I am unsure if under all the soil and leaf mold there are cobbles. The lane served the weaving mill which has now been demolished. My cottage is a mill workers cottage. Last year was my first summer here and that was spent putting drains in the garden and making a garden near the house. I am itching to crack on and see how the plants that I put in late last year have got on over winter. No point clearing too soon as we always have snow in March and often April too as we are quite a high altitude. The weather forecast for us is 2 weeks of solid rain from today so I have no excuse not to finish the rocking chair and have the house in tip top order.
The pantry of doom is calling me but I don't want to pull everything out and add to the disruption of a new bathroom. That starts Wednesday. When my son visits next week we have to bring everything of ours from my Mum's house. Including a baby cot from the loft. He will take all his things with him but I will have to host DD1's stuff (grr) whilst she is working away. I think there is only 1 box of DD2's stuff and we can take that to her. My bedroom has bags and boxes lined up ready to go down south. A moses basket that was made for DS, a bag with his birthday gifts and some old horse brasses and various gubbins, 2 bags of baby jumpers that I have knitted. Whatever DIL doesn't want will go to my craft club Christmas sale. Whilst we have a van I will collect an oak front door from my Brothers stables. It is Edwardian,I was going to fit it at the last house but we moved. Dilema,do I keep it in case we move to another Edwardian house? It's gorgeous, very arts and crafts.
Enough rambling. It actually helps organise my thoughts to write them down here.

Happy Monday everyone.
Thanks for the fruit for the tlc carriage Mrs SD and the gruel for my sister 🤣 more than I would give her, that's for sure 👍.
I took Saturday 'off' dds and ds were all poorly with colds so we had a schlomp day - movies, cuddles, yummy snacks and dinner. In the evening me and dh papered the mural on ds room. On Sunday I visited my dad with my brother. He looks noticeably worse, we managed to convince him to drink water and have 2 spoons of his lunch. The journey just about finished me off, 2 major roads closed and took nearly 3 hours to get home. I am not sure when I am going to be able to get down there again as dh has to work this weekend but will try to fit a visit in if possible. I added some tassels to a lampshade for ds (got him a brown one, originally we got him grey but will use that for living room instead)2024 decluttering Campaign

Didn't do any decluttering after Church - no afternoon service yesterday. I was only going to attend one service anyway as was so tired.
This morning I took 2 carrier bags of books to a charity shop - not counting as not from my house.
Had to queue for ages in the post office.
I did some decluttering of the airing cupboard this morning but still behind the daily target total. I now have 4 bags of stuff to go to the charity shop loitering in the hall way. I can't manage too much at once in my trolley and Mr F is in no fit state to go with me carrying anything.
I am having to keep an eye on Mr F as he goes vacant.

Spent an hour this afternoon decluttering my pinterest boards. Got rid of 4 boards and at least 150 pins. I am slightly addicted!

Been a busy afternoon, visited the tip and charity shop, a top up food shop and had parents evening at dds school. Knackered now! Going to spend the evenings this week on the sewing machine as have a few requests from dds for things to make for their room. Although they have the same requests the choice of material really shows me how different their tastes and personalities are! I also have some things I want to make for the coronation so am looking forward to cracking on with that.
I think I am going to have a low-key week this week. Feel absolute exhausted from the travelling and emotional side of what is happening with dad. I timed it right weather wise with finishing the last bedroom and I am hoping it is another lovely day tomorrow because some time working in the garden (another major project to start 😀) would do me the world of good. Hope you all have a lovely evening and well done with all the decluttering going on!2024 decluttering Campaign
