Not much decluttering being done as life is crazy but have managed the following
pile of magazines - some to a friend and some in recycling
loads of emails!
some apps not used on phone and iPad and others organised in a more logical way14 -
Found my jeans that were missing ages but not the T-shirt 🤷♀️
went to docs again and got something for silent reflux and an ENT appointment incase that’s not the issue
keeping up with house jobs but not much decluttering going on right now14 -
@Keiths_Mum , just noticed the quote in your signature- love that ! Have copied it onto my phone for inspiration.“Start where you are, Use what you have, Do what you can”Arthur Ashe
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger your good luck vibes for my vinted listings worked 😀 3 more items sold and sent ! Thankyou
This morning I’ve sorted through the wool that was filling the blanket box in our bedroom. I’ve listed a small bag full on olio for free , the rest has gone into my craft baskets in the dining room. And amazingly I managed to convince myself that there were never going to be enough hours in the day to untangle the really messy pile of oddments at the bottom of the stash! I’ve been saying I was going to sort it for probably at least 2 years , so that’s gone!! Why are some things so hard to get rid of ?!?Clearing the blanket box has meant I could take the bags of stuff out of my wardrobe that I’ve listed on vinted / am going to list. Felt really good to separate that from clothes I’m keeping.Pinsentry device - not working - binned3 items sold on vintedPackaging x4 reused to send parcels26 x documents shredded - bedding for chickensGlasses cordReceipts x 2Craft kit - given away on olioBag of tangled wool scraps - binnedPair of bootsReused packaging as bin liners x 4Old car stickerDecluttering total so far 898 / 2023Word for 2023 …PROACTIVE 🧡 2023 -decluttering campaign 1020/2023 ⭐️⭐️Saving towards paying off car in November…£720/£1500 🚗16 -
D123456789 said:@kiss_me_now9 maybe try olio ? It’s quick and easy to list and I have had a lot of success with leaving things outside for collection at agreed time. You could even list whole lot as a bundle. 😊
we are at Grandmas for a few days and I have cleared the last cupboard in my childhood room and taken it to the charity shop. I also found a few gems for LO to take home 😊
not sure what time you will be reading this Mrs SD but “go to bed” 😴 even Superwomen need their rest 😉
I'll definitely mention to OH that we can't go the charity shop route and see what he thinks. He'll have to move it all outside£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January14 -
donna73 - you are brave getting rid of yarn.
We took 3 bags of stuff to the charity shop today - used my shopping trolley for some as very heavy. We did have 9 bags in the hall - so still 6 bags to carry down to the shop. No car so have to do it in small amounts.
Did some shopping while in town.
Day 14 - managed 14 items
4 x Large Poly Bag
Pair of Slippers
Sweet Bag
Colour Catcher
6 Bags for Life
At 124 as against aim of 105

thats a very good idea Brie. I am just picking things up round the house that we dont need to keeping an eye on freecycle and olio and collecting as I go. Mostly I think they wont need stuff till year 2, but my eldest is autistic and I think he will need his own plate /bowl/ mugs if nothing else!!

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Spent the time from last posting up until 3:00 p.m. cataloguing DH’s Terry Pratchett hardbacks. There are 12 Discworld books ‘missing’ + 4 others from two different series. The books are now back (in order) on the shelves in DH’s office. This was one of the topics of discussion last Wednesday 🥳Checking back on my notes we have completed 2 of 10 & started on 3 others 🙂 DH was out for an hour & when he got back we spent 5 minutes in the Spare Room of Doom - managed to find a largish empty cardboard box & a small one to recycle and a used plastic liner for a paint tray has been binned 🥳 Every little helps 🙂 Since then I have been watching TV whilst cheerleading during ad breaks - Maternal & Guy Martin’s new series 😊
What a lovely day Dfw38 - gardening with your children 😊 Plenty of fresh air so hopefully they slept well last night 😉 Excellent work dealing with 🐸 🐸 10 & 11 & starting 🐸 12 👏 I am keeping everything crossed that DH manages to get a free evening to do the wallpapering in DDs room 🤞Not just your house, but in my case it is DH & DSis who set the booby traps 🤣 🙃
Muddy_Walker that was the one I knew 😉
Wow weenancy, you have been busy 🤩 Great news that your roommates are pitching in as well 😊 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for ‘encouraging and/or persuading’ your roommates to help out 👏 I will hold fire on awarding them a medal until you report that they are helping out on a daily basis 😉Fingers crossed that you can get your first cataract surgery booked in & done quickly 🤞 Of course once it is done your roommates will have to help out more whilst you recover 🙏 I hope you did manage to visit the TLC Carriage after your physical therapy session 🤞even if only for half an hour 😉As long as it is the ‘elves’ & not your roommates who are trying to trip you up 🥲
Dfw38 hopefully they can hang on another year 😂
TC77 sounds like your ‘elf’ is DD2 😉 Great work sorting out frogs 👏 I must admit to being as bemused as you at the idea of hearing therapy being conducted by phone 🤔 What a great result finding cat food in the boot of your car 🥳 now you just need someone to help you carry it from the car to the house 🤞 It has made my evening (let alone yours) that the “Assistant at A*da kindly opened the check out for me so I didn't have to use the self serve - made my evening, do think happiness is made up for these small things, as know life has major ups and downs so the small things really count” P.S. I have sent you a PM
Liverpool_Anne, food out is still decluttering 👏 Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon & very well done on resisting the lure of other nice things when there were no lampshades 👏😉 Hope the footy gave the correct result 🤞
Fizz2015, I am adding my condolences & good wishes to everyone else’s comments. Please take care of yourself during this difficult time 🙏
Just off again to start dinner prep but will be back shortly 🤞
