There were two services at Church yesterday so not a lot of decluttering happened.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So my 23 minutes was taken up with dealing with today’s mail & sorting out February & March’s 1p Challenge 🙂 It is now 4:00 p.m & DH is bored as he cannot go out for a walk 😉 So he has fed the worms & is now making a soup 👏 I am more than happy as it was on my To Do list 🥳
Excellent decluttering Floss 👏 Great finds in the CS 😊
Sounds like a lovely Sunday bit_by_bit 😊
That sounds like a marvellous weekend ~FlowerPot~ 😊 Perhaps we should add a Meditation Carriage to the EDT 🤔 You could be our guide 😉
Well said TC77 👏 “Amazing how others attitudes can make such a difference” Very short sighted of WHSmith to shut down their P.O. facilities - as if I ever need to use them I more often than not buy something else e.g. envelopes & I imagine there are many others like me. Fortunately, on the Isle of Dogs - there are 3 places with P.O. facilities + a P.O. in Canary Wharf 🙂 Henry must have been so happy to have had an outing 🙂 he was probably the one who hid the charger 🤣 Excellent decluttering 👏 I hope you are keeping your address book safe 🤞😉 I do empathise with the dating of photographs - I have hundreds & no idea of when they were taken 😉
DundeeDoll, I take it that it was an unscheduled closure of the Recycle Centre 😔 You are obviously doing a grand job of decluttering if your mum thinks you will run out of stuff to declutter 😊
Wednesday2000, I hope that sometimes they are tears of joy rather than sadness when you are watching Sort Your Life Out🤞 Snuggly boots 😀 Thanks for the reminder about footwear - I really need to go through mine & this time I need to be brutal 😔 A lightbulb moment - I have quite a few pairs of summer footwear that are actually too big - an accident waiting to happen 😬 Good luck with the wardrobe sort out 🍀
Dfw38, no need to apologise - I just get upset at needless cruelty & even more upset that there never seems to be a solution 😔 I am in awe of your resilience & even more impressed at your very generous description of grown ups being “numpties” rather than a harsher word. I don’t mind at all - smiling is good for the soul 😊
vulpix, I am sure the pan will come to light probably full of other items 😉 Good luck with the search for the paperwork & picture 🍀 Well done on completing ‘Operation Sooty Dust’ 👏 The room looks beautiful & homely, not minimalist at all 😊 I see that the cat has laid claim to not only the prime spot in front of the fire but also the most awkward 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 Good luck with sorting the electricals so you can free up the nest of tables for sale 🍀
Another session of cheerleading completed 🙂Off to find something else to do for 23 minutes 😉

As it is half term holidays here - no events at SA - so officers can catch up with paperwork and have a rest + volunteers get time off to rest.
Had a visit from Dgs to collect his swag bag.
Had a phone call to ask if I will lock up at SA tonight - only a 3 minute walk away - someone is using the hall for music practice for an upcoming concert.
We plan to take stuff to the charity shop tomorrow - 7 carrier bags full are in our hallway.
Been tired today so not a lot done.Day 13

I gotta medal!!!!! Thank you xxx
re hubby’s knee and his walking…..technical bit here as I have walked a lot of Welsh mountains and paths….when Mr SD next has a bath or a shower, get him to put his wet feet on a darkish towel. If you can see the whole foot outline he has over pronation (flat feet) and those scholl inserts even though they are mere millimetres can make a huge difference.
pavement pounding can send little shock waves up the legs and that will affect his knees. I once destroyed a knee by wearing walking boots on a long canal walk…it was tarmaced and I didn’t even think about it until the next day….took months and physio to recover!
Oddly enough that shoe brand beginning with S and is hellisly expensive are actually very good for walking - cheap trainers can sometimes cause a lot of damage as they aren’t well designed or fitting.
Hope that helps! X⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

What a lovely bright day it was today - I had so much more energy than normal it was confusing
! I was working today but in a weird pattern due to some clients needing to change times - I had a gap between 10:30 and 3pm!!
No actual decluttering but I made the most of the good weather and my extra energy to wash the down-stairs floors and clean the oven (its been a while). DS hoovered the rugs.
Tasks:
cleaned oven
Washed floors
Rugs hoovered

Just popping on quickly, haven't managed to do a proper mini declutter today. So just the one item, but at least it's still in the right direction 🙂.
66. One old 'worky/dirty' coat. Kept just in case the other new one was (insert relevant waffle here) 😉.

Tried the nail varnish and decided it's really annoying as it needs 3 coats. I don't have that sort of time to waste and don't love the colour that much. Had two bottles of it, so listed them on Buy Nothing. Just shows why you should use everything... no point in it sitting there to be used for years, only to find you don't like it anyway. Waste of space!1874-1875 - online accounts deleted1876-1877 - key fobs for loyalty card never used (binned)1878-1879 - nail varnish (Buy Nothing)2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

We made the most of the sunshine today and weeded our garden by the bay window, added our plants and then mulched with bark over the top. The dc all loved doing it (been so long since we gardened - over a year as we knew we were going to have our roof replaced last summer and the falling tiles and scaffolding would obliterate any plants - that I forgot how much they enjoy mucking in. So that is 🐸 10. I called the Dr and arranged a cervical smear test for next month so that is 🐸 11, don't like having them done but needs must!
I have also started another frog - will be finished tomorrow. We are using white cotswold gravel along the side of the house to brighten and smarten it up. The previous people haphazardly chucked stones over the top but there are always loads of weeds coming through. So started weeding, added extra strong weed membrane and started moving the gravel from a different place on the garden. (We are going for a different style than what we previously started so we don't need to buy anymore) We also managed a tip run, the dc wanted an outdoor lunch picnic and then we settled down to watch a kids film this afternoon.
Dh hasn't started wallpapering yet as he keeps getting emergency call-outs or having to cover other people's on call night shifts. We are hopeful for one night this week! Hope you are all well, hugs for anyone who would like one. Remember every item decluttered is one less thing to trip over... or is that just my house?! I am convinced the dc are b00by trapping the place for the life insurance money 🤣2024 decluttering Campaign
