Thankyou @vulpix. I am emulating you
LoL @Brie. My husband does that when I empty the bins.
Sorry to hear about the rudeness of the CS @Muddy_Walker. I have seen and heard other being rude and hate it. You make all the effort to get it there, they should accept gracefully. Sometimes I have ahd to decline donations as not appropriate or we are overwhelmed that day. Always polite and always suggest an alternative place.
Thankyou @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. It was nice to come home to a clean house with guest today.
So no decluttering done today buit had a lovely drive with DH though the Peak Park to pick up DD and her boyfriend.

@~FlowerPot~ the meditation weekend sounds wonderful, although I don't find time to do it, or many other things
Muddy_Walker shame about the CS. Amazing how others attitudes can make such a difference, the show shop taking thing back was wonderful. Post office disaster - yesterday couldn't access the return label on my phone so rang WHSmith where post office to check open today , told yes, but when I got there it was on the machines and they don't accept QR codes, apparently PO is to close in June so not bothering to upgrade machines.
Mislaid the charger for the cordless hoover! so Henry came out for the hall and stairs and mopped kitchen and dining room.
FInally wrote a card meant to have been sent months ago (lost the address and then forgot) - you can see a theme here! And posted it - I could get a stamp from the PO machine.
Small frog done, and tidied my desk.
More carpet offcuts out - no takers for their allotments/gardens.
A little paper decluttering. Started to look at a memory card of photos - says Jan 2014 but summer photos so need to work out - luckily a photo of big reunion with friends so one of them will know. Don't want to tell DD2 I don't know which sports day and only checking them out 9 years later17 -
loaded up the car to drop off at the recycle centre after church but not to be as shut - man was very apologetic and assured us it'll be open at 9am tomorrow - the good news for us is mum can do that - poor people who had to go home to unload their cars
Today's 23 minutes - going through another bag in the office - stuff for the bin, stuff for the recycle, stuff for the CS - mum says this rate i'll soon run out of stuff to sort (I kinda doubt that!)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

I'm on the 5th episode of the first series of Sort Your Life Out. I cry at a bit in every episode!
I bought a pair of very snuggly snow boots from Amazon when it was bitterly cold and it is making me realise how uncomfortable some of my other boots are. I have a pair of fake DM boots and when I wore them out the other day it almost felt like I was walking on the pavement. These were the boots I was wearing when I fell over and cracked my rib so I will be glad to see them go. I do have sensitive feet as I suffer with neuropathy (or is it peripheral neuropathy? one or the other) so I am going to clean them and donate them and I will look through everything else in my wardobe again!
I have recycled some paperwork and also used up another moisturiser and put the packaging into recycling.13 -
Oh Mrs_salad_dodger I never meant to upset anyone. Please don't be sad, I survived, the hair grew out, bones repaired and I am a bit of a tough cookie underneath because of it. I learnt a few hard lessons early on - sometimes grown ups (parents, teachers and headteachers) can be numpties, nothing lasts forever and sometimes the only one who can get you through something is yourself. My most valuable lesson which I have applied to pretty much everything - especially parenting- is a sense of humour can get you through anything!
If you don't mind I will direct message you in the morning, something to make you smile 😊2024 decluttering Campaign

Well unfortunately I have mislaid some things. My favourite pan. For goodness sake how do you lose a pan. 🤣 a picture that I took off the wall in December when I thought the builder was coming. An important piece of paper with information that I need. I have had a cursory search in the pantry of doom. I think the paper may be in a craft bag, the picture possibly in a box with Christmas decorations but a pan! A big one as well. It’s not as if the house is massive. I would notice a pan in a different room.Operation sooty dust is complete. Every single item washed down. The only thing to do is a spot clean on the rug and the sofa. The door mat and the cats sheepskin rug have both been washed. I took a photo earlier Mrs SD,standing at the front door. Will do another from a different angle another day. I am not minimalist by any means but I am trying to not to overwhelm the eye. When all the dusty work is completed I will decorate. The rug we had cleaned is wrapped up waiting in the shed. The chair arm you can see is the rocking chair that I am going to renovate for DIL.Operation sooty dust will move into the kitchen next week.:23

755-769: stuff heeded to binbag from a variety of sources

deferred decisions:
79-82: tubs of craft stuff - contents either consolidated (like with like) or chucked.
I now need to shift some electricals so I can free up the last of an inherited nest of 3 side tables with a view to selling them.
Well, obviously not now, it's a bit late in the day!
And thanks for the medal!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi all, slower day today, sorted the washing and the rhubarb crumble but the kitchen was taken over by OH. Tomorrow we are going to visit a friend who has had a new kitchen fitted with a view to using the same company. This friend hates cooking and will happily live on cereal or cheese butties so whenever we visit we always take something for her freezer that she can just pull out and either bung in the microwave or the oven. I already have some apple crumble and carrot and lentil soup for her. OH has spent the day making veg lasagne and guacamole to go with some of the lemon possit made yesterday. The kitchen looks like an explosion has occurred and I have walked away from it. I managed to get another 2 good 2 go box so trotted off to pick that up. When I got home we went into ln taking coffee with us and a portion of lemon possit, guacamole and rhubarb crumble along with some fresh dill from the 2g2g box as I know I won't use it but ln cooks a lot of fish. When we got back I did a serious search for some things for the tombola and have put 2 bottles of vodka, we have lots as OH often gets them as gifts from pupils who pass, a bottle of peach schnaps, we have 2, an unused and unopened tub of body butter, a set of moisturizers still in original packaging, a speaking cat toy, and 4 of OHs scarves unused and still in original packaging and 1 of mine still in original packaging, and 2 pairs of ck socks in a tin that I really don't need into a box for my friend. I must admit I looked long and hard at the moisturizers but then decided they would realistically not be used by me and I have others I will use and they were just taking up space in the draw. I will continue to look around to see if I can find anything else. They will not be gone until Thursday but I am claiming for the task
I have also put another soap from my stash into the bathroom. After tea which was some lo veg lasagne filling with some bread I just watched tv and did some crochet. I don't think I will be getting much done this week as I am out for lunch 4 times, this is because it is half term and when ex colleagues are available but I will need to sleep for a few days to recover
and I have a footy match but I will try to get something done
So
328 washing sorted
329 rhubarb crumble sorted and in the freezer
330 food and fresh dill to ln
331 sorting stuff for the tombola
332 soap from stash into the bathroom
Off to catch up now
Take care everyone
