I’m back in too, I do love a declutter 😊. Goals for this year will be maintenance, continued spring cleaning of every drawer/cupboard/shelf and finally using up some supplies so I have a more sensible level of stuff.
My goals are set for three levels: bronze is 3,000 items, silver is 4,000 items and gold is 5,000 items. They are all high due to young kids, so turnover of clothes and toys is quite high and I don’t want to be overrun!2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

I would love to tag along, I’m at maintenance level, I started with Marie Kondo thread what feels like a lifetime ago .Definately around 6 years if not more. I like to read along as it motivates me to keep on track, and recently found minimalist mom on you tube thanks to someone on here.
I watched 1 of her videos yesterday and went to the wardrobes and got rid of 15 items! Then to my stash of cushions ! And 8 cushion covers and 6 inners , plus 2 throws went in the charity bag.
Amazing there’s still stuff to go. I’m hoping this year to limit clothes coming in ,and reduce clothes I have . I do love 💗 clothes !🤫
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.17 -
Ooh I love a good declutter. I'm in. I have slipped recently and must get back on it. Plan for the beginning of the year is to sort out my dining come sewing room. No new fabric for me. I shall post a list of jobs over the next couple of weeks17

I'm in for 2023 too. I will have to think about my goals towards the end of this year.:)16 -
I'll be back in here too.
Not quite sure of targets as we are to start a kitchen extension in the better weather.
I will aim and record items leaving over and above the normal detritus of 365. I will also keep up the one item into the loft and item to leave as it happens.
It will become more of a challenge when the back bedroom has to have the fully fitted wardrobes emptied in readiness for the extension work. It may be necessary to start this sooner as they are made of real wood and could be used in the fire at the back end of winterto help keep the site tidy and save a bit more money.

Hi all, I am in, having failed miserably to meet my goal of getting a new kitchen this year it will be a priority next year. I will have a think about other goals and might set a target next year. My loathing of targets is slowly fading now having been out of the pressure cooker environment of target setting in work for over a year.
I absolutely love this thread and even when my energy levels have been so low that I didn't do anything other than watch tv or read I managed to keep up with it. It is like a life line to a saner existence and reading about others successes gives me hope that I will get there. Thank you Mrs SD for all you do for us all and thank you to all the other posters for their support and inspiration.
I will continue to post on the 2022 thread until January 1st.
Take care everyone20 -
Hi All, I'm back in again for 2023 and a huge massive thanks to Mrs SD for leading the EDT on the straight and narrow for another year.
As said on the 2022 thread, my word for the year is SIMPLIFY so I think I'll be here a lot. Initial plan is for 365 items to leave the house, but I want to keep track of what comes in too. Might be asking too much of myself but we'll see.
Look forward to getting cracking in a couple of weeks.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201717 -
