So Mum had a positive oncology appt- CT scan was clear and she starts maintenance therapy soon. Sad though, her wonderful oncologist is leaving- he has been amazing and so reassuring. The first appt after her extensive surgery, he began "I knew the moment I met you that you'd be one of my success stories" He's the type of person who just lifts you up- a sad loss!
I have been a bit...all over the place since, but now I'm in the swing of things, I don't want to stop. so...
58: Bandana
59: Nail varnish kit
Oh and the coat I was having a wobble about- someone posted on a local FB group that local refugee needed a long, warn coat- this will be perfect and it's the right size. It's being collected and delivered to the lady tomorrow and it feels right

@Millie2008_2 glad your mum got good news. I was thinking about her (and you) after I read your post about her upcoming appointment. So pleased for you both! Sad to hear about her oncologist, the right support can help massively so I am sure his departure will be felt by many. And well done about the coat!2024 decluttering Campaign

joanie said:Another few things out of the door today. To be honest I moved them to our caravan as they are more likely to be used there rather than a full declutter of said items (walking maps and blanket).
I did declutter a gold ink pen - my “fantasy self” was going to do fancy envelopes on the Christmas cards - my “couldn’t be ar3ed self” won the battle! 😜
I did get rid of my old rubber hot water bottle. I saw an article about how they can be dangerous as they perish with age (don’t we all? ) so when I found it I inspected it and found I could just tear the top part where you fill it! Not quite strong enough to tear the actual bottle in half yet. 🤣🤣🤣
keep going everyone 😘
@grandmanerd the only thing I would save if my house was on fire is the cat, who of course is irreplaceable. The rest I either don't need or it could be replaced, so why do I still find it so hard to get rid of? Maybe the decisions need to be taken out of my hands.
I have continued with the paper decluttering, 61 pieces recycled and 18 shredded, there seems to be a lot of rubbish in this box, also randomly found 10 metres of elastic? I am neither a crafter nor a sewer and have no idea why I would have bought this, nor why I would have put it in a box of paperwork, it will go in the charity shop box and someone else will be happy to have it.Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can

Excellent news millie2008. Your Mum was lucky to have had the benefit of the lovely oncologist. Here’s hoping he has a well deserved retirement. We have had a little more snow, not enough for any disruption. The road closure is causing massive disruption. People ignoring the road closed signs and struggling to turn their massive lorries round.I have used up a lipstick today. 💋It has taken a couple of years. I do have about 4 others on the go at the same time though. We have been given a new to us armchair. The old past is one is in the shed for now. Too big for our car. We will have to chop it up to take it to the tip.Still waiting for the plasterer in the sitting room and plumber to move a radiator.Keep warm folks.Vx:19

Another small but varied collection of sorted/cleared/decluttered things:
- ironing basket decluttered
- clean ironed clothes put away
- decorative/table candles sorted, small candle ends discarded (a 23 minute job before lunch)
- emergency candle stash sorted: it’s a mixture of household candles (1 box mine, 1 my late mum’s plus half a box of French ones, probably mum’s) and varying lengths of used decorative and table candles - smallest items discarded (a 23 minute job after lunch)
- discarded candles packed up to send for recycling (“thank you” to whoever mentioned the Recycled Candle Company - apologies, I can’t remember who it was though I looked it up and bookmarked it at the time). This task took over an hour as Justin was not helpful in providing the right packaging 😄 .
- 2 items of packaging (eventually!) packed up with decluttered candles - to be posted for recycling on Thursday
- 1 plastic tub (ex-yogurt tub) which had held stubs of old candles, to recycling
- 2 perished rubber bands to general rubbish
- sheet of newspaper the candles were sorted on, to recycling- 40 emails deleted
Keep up the good work, Everyone!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi all - decluttered my GP appointment - she was not too concerned but said I needed a two week referral because of symptoms and family history. Just in case. I was expecting that. Blood tests tomorrow.
