Hi all,
@SecondStar, I am sorry I can't visualise square meters but what I would say is that you should look at the furniture and decide if you love it regardless of where it came from and does it work for what you need or are you just keeping it because of where it came from. As for the house I would suggest looking at a few more before you decide. I feel because you are questioning it you may be settling for it because it ticks a lot of your boxes. I know when I bought my house as soon as I walked into it I knew it was the right one and I had looked at quite a few so if it feels right go for it.
To add
131 dry washing folded and put away
132 some ribbons and bows sorted through and some binned, the rest stored properly
133 hand cream used up and binned.
I have started a plastic container bag to take to the tip. Only bottle shaped plastics can be put in the council bin but I seem to have loads of take away tubs. They are useful for putting things in the freezer but I seem to have enough to stock 5 big freezers. This is something I used to take into school and they got used for all sorts of things but I don't have that option now so I will start sorting tomorrow. I also have quite a few washing pod containers, same story I just save them automatically but this has got to stop so it shouldn't take long to fill the bag
, getting to the tip might be tricky as the snow has settled and it's now freezing.
Take care everyone

Lost the first part of my post, so a quick précis - might not have done any cheerleading on Monday but posted letters, drafted & wrote 1st of the letters in French, went to Lewisham & dropped off all the knitted items to a new to me CS (12 scarves, 6 pairs of wrist warmers, 6 ear-warmer headbands, 14 beanies, 12 plaited friendship bracelets, shop bought scarf, handbag diary & pen = 52) Shopped at the market, in Sainsbury’s & bought 3 months of birthday cards in Cards Direct. Managed to avoid all the rain. DSis did more decluttering in her room. DH spent several hours (from 2:30 p.m.) with M waiting for her to be discharged - hospital pharmacy finally issued her large bag of medicines & she was discharged at 7:30 p.m. Her neighbour picked her up in his car & DH followed them home. DH made sure M was settled & safe & finally got home 8:45 p.m. 😬 He was not only exhausted by all the waiting around but also frozen & a bit battered as he got caught in a hail storm 😣 Dinner was ham, mushrooms & cheese omelettes with added cooked red peppers for DH & me. Washed up & left to dry.
181 - 185 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 3 cardboard boxes - recycled
186 - 187 Kitchen & bedroom detritus binned
188 - 239 Bag of knitted items to CS
Slinky, you might be ‘decluttering money like it’s going out of fashion’ but the finished rooms will look wonderful 😊 Well done on locating the awol tablecloths 👏 Good luck with the sale of your business books 🍀 & fingers crossed that you have ‘saved’ your Bottle Brush bush 🤞
Millie2008_2, your DD must have been such a good girl for Santa to bring such a lovely present 😅Sorry to hear that your Hb was so low that it caused you such a problem but as you say you live & learn. Excellent decluttering 👏
You are very welcome Dfw38 🙂 Sorry to hear that your run exhausted you but I think that you are probably correct that a combination of low iron & the cold flu that lasted over a month were responsible 🙁 Here’s hoping that your blood test results show an improvement 🤞 Btw you did do some decluttering - some episodes of the Nick Knowles programme 👏 Good luck with box 5 🍀
Well done coconurtaler - every item out is a win 👏
Yippee to having a few hours of sunshine weenancy 😊 & still keeping everything crossed that the weather forecast is incorrect 🤞 Sorry to hear that the internet & phone are still not working 🙁 but cannot understand why a new company wasn’t suggested some time ago 🤔 rather than stringing you along for so long 😖 Good news that you can keep your phone number 🙂 but more work for you arranging a new company 😔 (I think we have had ours over 30 years - just several changes of area code 🙂) Excellent decluttering & cleaning 👏 How lovely to hear that your sister stayed in such close touch with the in-laws after her husband died, no wonder she is so affected 🙁 but yippee for the Internet (as long as it is working 😉)
GrannyKate, sounds like a lovely family weekend despite the mud 😊 How very fortuitous for DS2 😮💨
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏You are chipping away at the mountain of clothes 🙂

florianatwobob, shame you were so efficient last year 🤣
Great work Florenceem 👏
Keiths_Mum, currently I am finding the picture of the Thunderball very soothing 🙂 Sorry to hear that Christmas is such a sad time for you 🙁 Excellent decluttering 👏
Your birdies must love you DundeeDoll - fat balls containing dried fruit 🙂 I have found that OOD dried fruit goes hard & a bit musty 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 Any chance of decluttering the problem neighbours 😉
charlies_tribe, it might be a very time consuming job stripping layers of wallpaper & paint but think how proud you will be when it is done 🥲 Great decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 I have a couple of those boxes of ‘deferred decisions’ 😉 but I am sure I will get round to them one day 😅 Good luck with your fb sales 🍀
Now, now TC77 - repeat to yourself “I am great at tidying up” - 20 times should be enough 😉 Fingers crossed that deleted will not come back to haunt you 🤞 Excellent decluttering of physical items & tasks 👏 Poor DD2 - the dreaded ‘Box of Cables’ - I think we all have at least one of those 😞
vulpix, I am rather behind on the cheerleading so am not sure if anyone has told you where to find the Nick Knowles programme - Channel 5 at 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays.
Only 7 pages behind 😉

Morning declutteres,100 pages! crikey thats a lot of decluttering! On Sunday I went into DHs office and caught him decluttering again. woohoo! I helped by adding 4 large books and a sorted through 4 arch lever files no longer required. Alot of old bit of paper and bits have been filed (in the recycling bin) and his two shelves look a lokt better. Yey!I decluttered a load of leaves in the front garden whilst it wasnt raining, it was actually nice and sunny. But not much else was done other than decluttering emails, does that count?? Well over 1000 and loads more to do!Monday is a busy work day so not much else gets done, but did sit and watch a Nick Knowles program, i had seen a couple from the first series so picjed one from the second, loved it!Just removed another 800 emails, feels good!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

➡️making a will , finally brought this up with my partner over the weekend (we’ve been together nearly 9 years, but aren’t married , so this needs to be sorted really) Just getting the conversation out there felt like a big step.➡️ Finding out what my teaching petition is worth , only taught full time for about 5 years
, many years ago, so won’t be much but I need to find out how I can access it and at what age.
➡️ Looking for the paperwork for an isa I started about 15 years ago , again how much money is in there ? And should I move it to a different account now? These are all thing that I’ve been actively avoiding looking at for a few years , but I’m going to be 50 in a few months and suddenly there’s a clarity that I need to get my act together !!! Going to try 23 mins at a time on these sorts of tasks in the hope it makes them less daunting.Word for 2023 …PROACTIVE 🧡 2023 -decluttering campaign 1020/2023 ⭐️⭐️Saving towards paying off car in November…£720/£1500 🚗19 -

Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - woken up by the need for a bathroom visit & as DH is snoring I have decided to have a cuppa before going back to bed 😉 Just seen the frost on the ground & some blue sky 🙂 but still very cold so will drink my tea & go back to bed 😉
Liverpool_Anne, great cheerleading & ideas for joanie & vulpix 😊 You had a very productive Monday - various tasks completed & plenty of decluttering 👏 Your In’s tale of her friend’s misfortune had me wincing & coming out in a cold sweat 😰 Thank heavens she missed the bone 😮💨 I have to agree - that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen 😂
Great decluttering Kittikins 👏 not MIA at all just struggling to catch the bullet train to report in 🥲
I hope you enjoy your online photography course donna73 🤞 I am looking forward to seeing a couple of photos so I can admire your new skills 🙏 Lovely conversation about the 23 minutes & nail polish stashes 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 bet the chickens enjoyed the grapes 😉 I think that dealing with frogs etc will be an excellent use of your 23 minutes 😊 I forget who originally mentioned the 23 minutes idea but would like to thank them again as so many people are finding it a useful tool on their decluttering journey 🙂 Not only can ‘one’ get things done but it keeps the motivation high “as after all it is only 23 minutes” 😊👏
Dfw38, not sure ‘cute’ was the word that came to my mind 😂
Sorry to hear you are so poorly mumf 🙁 Please don’t make yourself more poorly by doing too much decluttering 🙏
I have finished my tea so am off back to bed 😉 feeling pleased that I have managed a bit more cheerleading 🙂

Wow! I can't keep up and only did 2 days at work over the weekend.
This feels like the 2023 express steaming ahead.
That blasted store cupboard of food still remains un stock taken and un cleaned. This is becoming a frog!
However other stuff is moving along. Items that needed to go into the loft are up there and tidy. There was 2 lots of bits. I'm staying positive that an item came down. (the aim is to match going in and coming out.) Decluttered a piece of bubble wrap (quite large) down and that is now very timely wrapped around the water butt and its tap. Tested it this morning and water is flowingthanks to DH.
I really must try harder at getting stuff onto baye as it does pay off when I do. They just keep picking the weekend I am working and just don't have the mojo to get my head into it. I have taken pictures of loads of stuff so I shall begin to upload them as drafts in dribs and drabs so no overwhelming going on.
At last the 2 bits I had listed for free locally have been collected.
I'm going to send out 2 cashmere jumpers to a UK business that will send me a free pair of fingerless gloves in exchange. I have a few pairs already so will donate them at some point.
2 Scratters xxAnything is better than nothing-check back and see

A few more things gone over the last couple of days
85 - 87. 3 plastic lids with no matching tubs
88 - 89 food my cat will not eat to friends for theirs to try
90 broken Barbie carriage to bin
Still going with the 23 mins as well
23 mins reading a magazine
23 mins turning bendy veg into soup - yummy

@daisy_1571 Thank you for your praise
I'm inherently lazy, and can't keep track of too many things at the same time, so I rely on organisation and routines to do the work for me.
@Millie2008_2 Did the doctor advise the Mirena spiral? I've had it for 3 years, and my PMS was really bad in the lsat year! I'm pretty stoic normally, but on Mirena, 1 week per month anything could set me of on a rant, and I would be sooooo angry! I really didn't recognise myself. I'm now on an oldfashioned copper spiral, which is cheaper and can stay in longer, and am much happier.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5917 -
Hi all,
@donna73 you should be able to check your teachers pension on the teachers pension website, can't remember what info you need. If my memory serves me right you should be able to access it when you are 55 but like all pensions the earlier you take it the less it is.
As for the IS A if you contact the bank / building society they should be able to tell you. I phoned mine and got a figure
@Mrs SD, yes it made me wince as well.
I did point out to the lady in the cs that it was very ugly and if she didn't think they would sell it I would take it to the tip. She said you never know. When I told her it was a solar powered garden light "is it" she said with a sparkle in her eye, so I do have some hope that they will get a few pennies for it
Bargain of the year so far, I picked up a sleep suit / baby grow thing in the sale in Mr T yesterday. 6 - 9 months, ( baby due in June), bright red baby's first Christmas reduced from £10 to 4pI was ridiculous happy
Snow still here and OH has declared a snow day so I am going to sort the fridge and make some soup and sort the plastic containers.
Take care everyone13
