Morning all,
GWS wishes to all those under the weather x
Beautiful flowers, Narc0 x
So glad that you had that bug nipped in the bud, Iona. Fantastic progress to get outdoors with Rosie. Please don’t overdo it x
Hope Feargal behaved, Round x
Keep snug, ASB, in the snow x
We picked up DD yesterday from uni. Lovely to have my girl back home. Especially as she took charge of decorating the house for Christmas, saving me a job. This morning we have freezing rain. DD has booked a riding lesson, so it is my job to drive her there. I am not looking forward to that, so hoping for a miraculous rise in temperature in the next couple of hours.
One load is in the wm, I need to s&s the bathrooms at some point. Yesterday’s planned flying got hijacked by a blocked kitchen sink. Bicarb and vinegar to the rescue. Mince pie and sausage roll making is also on the agenda for today apparently. I’m sure that there should be more jobs on that list for today. Hmm, maybe actually getting something out of the freezer for dinner would be a start.
Love to all x9 -
Fayolle is the riding lesson indoors, menage type arena? if not the lesson is likley to be cancelled as the ground is generally too hard for riding that the moment. I would suggest DD rings before you set off.Love the flowers.Daily type stuff done, birds feeding at the field fence, a very hard frost here over night.A not doing a lot type day here.Keep safe and watch out for black ice on raods and pavements.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Pops and Babs safely despatched on their coach. Feargal played up a little but saved the worst for when I stopped to fill up with petrol on my way home. No queue so no pressure. Well only a little bit of pressure 🙄. The mechanic can't fix it unless it does it with them. And guess what. It doesn't. Heyho. Home now. And had a present wrapping session. Little and often to prevent my back or knees seizing up completely.
Lunch next methinks.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day

Hi all
Freezing rain about to start here, I am with Fayolle and Round in that I dont want to go out but DS2 who is home for the festivities has arranged to go to a mates house to watch the footie. Trying to persuade DH to taxi but he is grumbling about the fact that he drove to the big city to collect DS2 yesterday, and it was an awful journey.
Hope ASB hasnt had issues with her electricity, I heard that a big part of her local area were without power yesterday.
And I hope Iona and Valli are doing OK xx
So, presents to wrap, nut roast to make, and I need to work out what food we have bought and what we still need and do a mealplan. Looks like DS2 is nearly ready to go so better get my coat on.8 -
Dog walk done, recycling/rubbish/compost stuff put out while I was still wrapped up warm. Dog bathed and bathroom cleaned.
And that's me done for the day. There is a new book waiting to be read.
Round, I do most of my wrapping on the ironing board to save my back. It doesn't get used for it's primary purpose very much.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Hi ladies
Thank you for thinking of me in this weather. Thankfully we do still have power (frantically touches wood) and we haven't left the house all weekend because the driveway is totally impassable. Just been outside to do animal checks and outside thermometer is -6. Yet, bizarrely, we are set to rise to 10 degrees overnight!
We are also set for 50mph winds tomorrow.... seriously ... where is the rolling eyes old emoji when you need it xx
I am at the paid stuff tomorrow and the children have two more days at school. I am working Wednesday as well but the children will have to trundle there with me.
Sending lots of warm and gentle hugs to everyone esp Iona and Valli xxx7 -

Somehow the temperature rose from 2 to 7 degrees whilst out. Lots of rain, lots of partially flooded roads, wind is getting up too. Finished my book whilst waiting for DD in the car.Ensuite s&s before I went out. I now need to find the enthusiasm to do something else before doing so,e baking and prepping dinner. Maybe wrap the last couple of presents. On the ironing board.7 -
I do wrapping on my bed.. it is really high. My mother puts the ironing board at table height and sits in her chair and wraps.
I have done DS2, Boog, Tiddles, a box of bits for the girls and most of C&C's.
Emptied airers.. OH refilling.
Both WM's and both TD's are on as well.. Seeing if i can beat Novembers £500 utility bill!! lol..
I need to finalise the Tesc0 order for tomorrow.. I need a freezer run and I need to finish this round of presents and remake my bed.
OH can feed the girls. I hear there are hungry squirrels in the garden lol.
