Glad you're feeling a little improved Valli.
Dog walked, hoovered through, WM whirring. I'm going to leave the downstairs windows as they look ok.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
I've:
Fed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Recycled the packaging from yesterday's delivery
Eaten lunch
I'm not going into town today as I've read that the traffic lights have failed near the car park. Sounds like a recipe for chaos.
I'll concentrate on putting up the tree this afternoon instead.

My tree is up and decorated.
Sweetie is doing his usual 'what's that? And why have you put it there?'. I kept talking to him while I was busy and he seems less perturbed than usual by it. Just inquisitive 😍
Next I will unpack the Christmas goodies from the hamper I won. I'm going to reuse the box to take presents to DS and GF on Christmas Day. 🎄

Home after a long day out. List achieved this morning after a focussed trip to small town, not aided by roadworks and general numpties. Lunch out with a friend, a few more goodies accumulated. I am so over it all now, what I have is what will be.
Kaz, thinking of you today, hope all is ok. It’s a similar situation here with DH, he ended up giving in his notice which finally made them sit up. He now has an end date. I think (but don’t quote me) that you have the right to ask to work part time and that it has to be considered, and reasons for refusal given. Of course, that doesn’t mean that Mr Kaz’s bosses will agree. Sometimes just having the plan is a major step forward. Good luck x
I am shattered now. One more load in the wm. Not sure where that is going to dry.8 -
Me again. Before exercise class, from the list, I wrapped the last Xmas present (I keep saying that), spent 15 minutes with my feet up painting my nails and sorted out a new handbag and purse.
Knitting now.....Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Rushing to catch up with thread. Hugs to all in need.
We had a great weekend with family and not a bad journey back; the roads were fine - a bit of slush in our village but not too alarming so stopped at Mr A on the way home. Having reversed into the 3 or so inches of untouched snow on my drive last night, of course I couldn't move this morning as the wheels had frozen in the tracks.....eventually got to gym swim.
- dropped into butcher to order Xmas beef after snow prevented us from doing so at Mum's butcher.
- dropped in to get more oasis saucers (no luck)
- Mr N and I put together food boxes for local canalboat-dwellers.
- unpacked, put away, did one load of washing
- put hot water in bird bath, filled feeders. Lots of fairies around today.
- got paperwork ready for tomorrow's assessment. Shame it isn't a snow day - uni was closed on Mon but fine now apparently
- went to Bible reading group. Was rather unreasonably hurt that apparently the church has been decorated already and "there's no room for flowers". I need to get a grip and move with the times....but I love doing the flowers and it would have been nice if someone had actually told me, as I bought lots to do SIL's presents in the knowledge that any left over will go into the church arrangement. As I said, I feel unreasonably left out; I'm sure that either a) flowers didn't cross the minds of the ladies who decorated or b) they thought they were saving the "bother" as we only have 3 services in the church anyway before we go back to the school (where services are held in winter). Or both a and b.....just move on girl. Think how much extra time I will have...Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
MorningNarc0 you know what I would make an arrangment with your flowers just as you had planned, take it to the church and leave it at the font / base of alter / pulpit etc, your flowers are always lovely, I am reasonable positive that the church DOES have room for one more arrangment, s*d the ladies who left you out. After all in the Christmas spirit, room was found for one more at the inn, all those years ago.My cousin has text to say she will pop round at 1.30pm, it is so nice not to be running / dashing about like a mad thing, cleaning up and sorting, so she has some where to sit, and is not looking at heaps of 'stuff', a happy FLSo farFound red christmas pudding sockFed catsFed birdsFed me (toast)Fire done, logs done, more kindling chopped, I really think I need to do a mass kindling chop, I have the wood to do it, but it is so cold out there.Last nights dinner uncooked and in fridge, we will have this tonight, as we got back so later yesterday from hospital, we had fish and chips! (how much,) different shop to normal and £5.50 more expensive, I know about prices for food and utilities.OH's appointment went ok, 'result will be posted to you in a few days' ' we think we don't need to see you again in this department until 2025' 'other departments may still want to see you'.........I am just so grateful to the NHS staff / doctors etc, needless to say OH is very happy he doesn't have to have a camera stuck up his xxxx in the near future.Hugs to all those who are ill or suffering in any way.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

MUST... WRAP....
2 selfish people have bought things off V!nted.. one asked for it to not be posted until after new year.. V give you 7 days to post stuff or they refund.. so that's a no. It's just a small skirt so will fit through a letterbox anyway. I don't want to post stuff.. I am shutting my selling pages until after christmas now I think.
I bought Pixie something for christmas.. £40.. BUT... they are selling for £200+ on ebeast at the moment.. she won't know if I sell it right?? She hasn't asked for it so has no idea she will love it if she doesnt get it.. I can buy her something she has asked for then.
TD onBoog at a hospital appointment so I have asked if they'll get squeaks prescription while there to save me a trip.. I pick their prescriptions up often enough.I need to take Dots glasses to have a screw fixed.. thankfully she has 2 pairs this time so no huge rush.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

Anyway moving on, I have done some tidying and flying in the kitchen and am just about to do a bit of a report before heading for uni. It's lovely and sunny so I'm not anticipating any icy roads at this time of day.
And so pleased that Mr Kaz had a good appointment.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8
