Morning all
I haven’t had chance to read back, but I am dispensing hugs/lurgy be gone vibes / mulled wine to all who want it.
We are snowed in 😳😳😳 so a day at home for us. Animals have been fed, the sheep are scoffing hay like there is no tomorrow. Fire lit in kitchen, soup bubbling on the hob and I am going to make us all some eggy bread soon. Other than that it’s life admin and reading my book, if puppies and kids allow! X8 -
*healing vibes* heading your way Valli. Is it a bit worrying that at least two of us are in the 'Ooooh, gas and air, yes please!' club without childbirth being involved? I'm so glad you were seen so quickly in A&E.Glad to hear the napping is going well Ionafan and I hope the stitches being removed goes smoothly.Buggalugs, I'm sorry, but I've never had an angiogram so I don't know much about them but while it sounds scary I remember from my time working in the NHS that it was regarded as a routine procedure. I hope you get your appointment very soon so that you can be in and out and stop worrying about it.Still waiting on the Layla's soft tissue test results. She's starting to go downhill if I'm being honest with myself, but perfectly happy as long as she can be with us. I don't think this is either treatable or curable, so it's all about management from here on in, but I'm getting quite twitchy about how long we're having to wait for the results. It rained last night so the bits of laundry that were left out to dry overnight have been respun this morning so I'll wait until the line's not still dripping before they go out again. I need to find the rogue bulb in one of the outside lights and replace it, and we must, really must, put the decorations up and dangle some bits and pieces on the 2' tall tree. It's adorable and pleasingly tiny. I may have to be realistic about whether I'm going to even send Christmas cards this year. oops.Belovéd says he'll run the vacuum around and I may flick a duster about. Fortunately Rosie the lodger doens't seem to notice dust any more than I do, and the Christmas Day extra guests, two blokes, most certainly won't notice it. All they are interested in is a hot meal in a warm house - their boiler doesn't work apparently so they've no hot water or heating. In this weather.Better is good enough.8

Only just woken up but overnight DW, WM were in use and I did wake earlier so went and put washing in TD. Must persuade DD to empty and fold, not sure I can handle a duvet cover.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Started to wash this morning to find en suite washbasin drain frozen!
- drove to next village to deliver some local cards and get a paper.
- picked very frozen foliage and put it in warm water. Did a small arrangement for church.
- lounge tidied i.e. still some Christmas clutter in there, but only what we will use in the next few days. Other boxes of 'stuff' put away. There is now just one small box with a few cards in, all local or family we will be seeing.
- Present for friend I'm having coffee with on Monday now wrapped and put in festive bag with her card.
- Mr N vacuumed downstairs rooms
- I cleared kitchen, wiped all surfaces, swept and mopped floor.
- reviewed and re-wrote 'to do' and 'to buy' list.
- filled bird/rat feeder and put hot water in bird bath (to thaw the ice, not to give them a hot bath!!)
So this is what I put in the church today, had a bit of a vacuum while I was there in just the one area that needed it. I must say that the decorating the other ladies did looks good - simple and understated but absolutely fine - so my small flowers (most still haven't opened even when sat by the radiator for a few days) will fit in. Had an email from vicar asking me to do 2 readings at the carol service tomorrow (so maybe not expecting many congregation) - 1 of which is my favourite from Isaiah. So I'm happy. I resized the photo but it still comes out big, apologies.
I'm now going to write a bit more of a report then watch the Strictly final.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -

I did post yesterday evening - but by mistake on another thread
so most of you, my lovely Flyfriends, wouldn't have seen it.
DS1 took me to the GP surgery to have my stitches removed. I asked the nurse to check all my wounds and she was concerned enough to call a Dr down to take a look. I came home with ABs for a possible mild infection. 5 doses so far have nipped it in the bud and I am feeling so much better today! I have phoned some friends, put in a small WM load, and as the frost disappeared after lunch we wrapped up warm and took Rosie for a 25 yard walk - she ran ahead a few times but raced back each time I called her. Now of course I am exhausted, but delighted to have made that bit of progress.
DH has also had good news today, with the arrival of his driving licence at last. He is looking forward to getting out and about again.

Morning all xx
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, eaten breakfast and I'm supping a brew.
Where's the fire? 🤣
On taxi duty for Pops and Babs who have a coach to catch at 8.55 in a nearby town. My anxiety is through the roof as Feargal doesn't like starting in the winter. Garage said I need a new key. Key man said it wasn't the key. Starts fine sometimes. Takes a number of tries at others. Taking comfort from the fact that he has always started eventually....please let this be a first turn of the key morning. 🤞
Gorgeous girls piggers Xx
Lovely flowers Narc0 Xx
Get well soon and healing vibes to all the poorlies xx
Taxi run, fill up with petrol, drop off a Christmas card on my way back. That's my starter today.
Love to all
