Dancing Water and light vortex - currys only £1.99 and Lava lamp £4.99

Ordered Vortex lamp, reserve & collect from Milton Keynes store.
Went to collect but was told there was no stock and the "reserve & collect system is very unreliable and frequently reserves items that are out of stock" - same comment from Curry's "customer service" when I complained.

I got some distilled water in Wilkinsons today- 52p for 1 litre. It's called de-ionised water and it's with the car maintenance stuff.

Sorry to the op in my local store if you were a MSEr for getting the display product before you. I had gone in for my reserved icar but looked at the toys as well and they had one water vortex on display so i took the box and went to get an SA to remove the water from the vortex much to the :mad: of the person behind me who was going to get it too. I got a lot of abuse in indian from them but Sorry but i was first.:p

I reserved a vortex thingy on Tuesday and had a phone call that night to say they were out of stock but would let me have a lava lamp instead for the same price!

So a positive experience for me!

Yep - I just had my phone call too - I bought online on Monday night for home delivery - Vortex out of stock - Lava lamp in stock though.
Told the guy to just cancel the order - not gonna pay delivery on something that's only a fiver.
I'll have a squint around currys in Sunderland tomorrow - see if I can pick anything up there.

Same here, tried to argue that I'd had email confirmation and asked what could they offer to make amends for my trouble..... NOTHING. Should have saved my breath!

I'm off to write an email.

Got six vortex lamps from cheltenham today and the guy said they had plenty in,got them no problem.

Got 3 vortex lamps from Harrow, no problems to collect then although they could not find my print out with the reservation but they check on the computer and it was there... No bad for £1.99, am going to fill mine with water straight away and keep the other two for xmas presents. Thanks OP..

I managed to get one the other day, then went to order another for a chrimbo pressie and they was all gone

I dont understand how people are still getting them. I looked online and it said no stock in my area so I rang the customer service and she said there were none left in the country. Gutted I really wanted one of these
