Just been to the Christchurch store to pick up 5 black i-cars & 1 white i-car which I reserved on line at lunch time.. Waited 10 min in the store after handing over my reservation print outs, only to be handed 1 black car and being told all of the rest of the stock had a faulty switch!!! I was then told Hedge end store had stock but they couldn't reserve on line for me.. Got home 15 mins later and tried to reserve from the Hedge end store only to find zero stock of both colours...

Not happy!! gonna complain, as I recon the staff had had the lot!!

I reserved 2 of the black and white icars no problem. About an hour later, they left a message on my answerphone, saying they were out of stock, and would I come in and choose something else? I dont think so, it's a 40 min plus round journey. . Seems like the 'rot' is rampant around the country. :eek:

Shame on the staff, if they are taking reserved stock for themselves. Its one things buying them from the shop floor, and another to buy the reserves, meant for someone else.:mad:

I reserved 3 of these from Currys in Colchester after reading this thread.

Went to tills to pick them up, she put in my reservation number and confirmed the order, I paid for them, and handed receipt to one of the warehousemen.

He came back with 3 red and white lava lamps, which I told him were the incorrect product, and looked horrible anyway! Sent him back to look for the right ones, about 10 mins later he came back and said nothing reserved in my name at all. I told him that wasn't really my problem, and gave him my original reservation number as proof.

He then went to speak to the manager, and went 'to have another look', after a few minutes he came back and said definitely couldn't find anything with my name on, and couldn't help.

I politely told him that there was no way I was going home without the lamps (I had 3 small children with me), as had only come out especially to pick this item up, and had reserved it in good faith, I even told him I would open up my Hotmail account and show him the reservation myself.

Funnily enough, after making a firm stand, he went back to see the manager and came back with my 3 lamps.

He said that had to take someone else's reservation, but again, wouldn't be surprised if the staff had been involved somewhere...

Had a look in Tesco as suggested by Anewman, but couldn't find. Anyone else know where you can buy it?

I reserved 3of these last night,:j I drove from wigan to leigh to pick up mine, to be told they had only one left and there was definately something wrong with the reservation system, utter rubbish , told them I wasnt happy, anyway I had to settle for the one which I got free of charge which was better than nothing I suppose

Drove to Trafford Centre after reserving one last night only to be told they are all sold, wasted over an hour plus petrol (and got mud splashed all over the back of my trousers as the car park was filthy) :mad:

I bought a GUT WRENCHER R/C car this afternoon for £9.98 reduced from £39.99. Looks fab. Includes rechargable batteries too.

I simply picked up anything that took my fancy and had it priced at the till. Most things were cheaper than the shelf edge price. Still waiting for the r/c helicopter to come down.
