Dancing Water and light vortex - currys only £1.99 and Lava lamp £4.99

I would def complain if you have email/ written confirmation of the reserved product, as i reserved something before from currys on-line, the staff were all taking them for them selves so i rang to confirm as well and they told me that as long as you have a res number in writting you are guaranted that product so me thinks the staff are up to there usual tricks again. I sent Dh out last night to get a few bits in the sale and when he asked the staff looked shifty and laughed then said sorry no dont have any.

Thumbs up to Currys in Doncaster as I reserved 2 y/day and picked up today.Took them an age to fetch them tho'. None left on the shelves.

Hi, I just used the filtered water out of my jug in the fridge. I suppose long term distilled water would be best, to stop it silting up.

But in the interim, I cant see the harm, especially as the lamp was so cheap. (The distilled water is no dobt more expensive than the lamp) :rolleyes:

Distilled water is only 51p a litre in Wilkinsons, Asda and Tesco.

Just picked up two that were reserved at Currys in Goodmayes. They had none on the shelves but they had plenty of the lava lamps. Please make sure you open them up and check if everything is in there. I checked mine when I got to the car and the adaptor was missing from one of the lights!!! Imagine driving all the way there and back with bits of the product missing!

I picked up 2 today that I ordered online yesterday, no problems in fact the manager served me and obviously hadn't sold any at the reduced price as he thought he'd get one for his Mum.

I just used tap water but then we have very soft water so I don't foresee a problem but I would dispute the bit were they say the pump runs quietly as so far its quite noisy! It may settle down once its been on a while as it was really noisy when it first started.

I would have but I didn't have much time, had to go and pick my little girl up from pre school. But I agree, I probably would have got a better result, I probably should have demanded 4 lava lamps for £1.99 each come to think of it, but tbh, I really didn't want those. I've asked for eveything to be investigated in my complaint email, I'm hoping they'll find the staff have bought my Vortex Lamps because that's what I think has happened!

Just fired off an email to customer services as the bloke on the phone just sat silent when I tried to get answers... Lost 2 out of this and there were 4 reserved at the store and nobody was getting them

Just collected two of the water lamps that were reserved yesterday, no probs. Loads of stuff reserved behing the counter (Roboquad, Spider/Homersapien, Ipod Cars etc..) They have 10 of the White Ipod cars on the shelf along with 1 Roboquad and a couple of Homersapiens. Also noticed they had I-Fish (same line as I-dog) reduced from £39.99 to £11.99. Bargain?
