Morning all. Glad to be up, very strange dreams including adopting a monkey.
Hope all poorlies are improving or just feeling a lot better in themselves.
I'm just having breakfast then I'll wash the breakfast dishes, have a shower, hoover through and walk the dog. Then , horror of horrors, we're off to the r@nge.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Valli said:Natty68 said:Hugs Valli, I do hope you are feeling better today. Although if my dh's chemo is anything to go by you'll start to feel better about 3 days afterwards. It's a shame they couldn't have started yours on a Friday then it gives you the weekend to recover..👍You will get used to the horrible metallic in your mouth too honey. The good news on that front is you can experiment with different tasting foods to see what you can actually taste from now on.
Hope everyone is managing to stay warm indoors during this cold spell. I've had to make a decision to keep the heating on low overnight as it takes way too long to reheat the house when it is on timed. For those that can't keep the heating on please wrap up warmly 😘
Anyway I’ve only two more sessions and then I’m done! Looking forward to ringing the chemo bell.
Jobs and errands can wait till you feel a lot better.

Morning all,
Strange dreams her too, Jazee - at one point I was crawling through a pedestrian tunnel as I was too tall to walk it, then when I got to the end, I was making mousse or the suchlike for Masterchef! Went out for a curry last night, maybe that is the key.
DH’s cousin decided not to stay over when he got here last night. I had already made the room up for him, so need to dismantle that today. DH is annoyed that he will not now be getting bacon butties for breakfast!
Today I must also clean the bathroom, munch some admin frogs, sort the fridge and play freezer tetris. I don’t think that there is another inch in the freezer but somehow I need to get the pigs in blankets into there.
White stuff is falling from the sky. It can stop that as soon as it likes, as I really need to go to work tomorrow as I have a click and collect to pick up on the way home, apart from the piles of work on my desk.
Gentle hugs to Valli and Iona. Love to all x10 -
Morning all
Like Pigpen our tree box has moved onto the landing with the big plastic box of decorations and might still be there on the 24th if I dont give DH a big nudge.
Christmas shopping is done, including most of the food we need. I have gone over budget a bit but not disastrously so and I have some overtime to come at the end of the month which will cover it with some spare. I managed to pay our £500 car service and MOT bill without dipping too much into the emergency fund so I am pleased with that - but I must save properly for it next year.
Martin says we are getting £200 towards our oil heating early next year which is good although weirdly it will go on our electricity account. Coal has gone from £15 a bag to £25 so thats not even a cheap option any more. Looks like this cold snap will last for another week at least.
So its a crisp cold sunny day, will try and get out for a bit of a walk later on, even if its just down the farm track and back. Need to get Henry out and I might make my Christmas day nut roast if I feel like it. As always there is clean washing to go away and I want to get the lights up outside. And presents to wrap of course.
Have a good Sunday all x10 -
Morning All
Big love to you Iona xxxx
I am beyond exhausted today. I’ve done far far too much this week, paid stuff wise and otherwise, and I feel it. My feet actually kept me awake in the night they were throbbing so much.Pity party over. Paid stuff for an hour this morning, then my mum is visiting. Tinned soup for lunch and no apologies on my part, it’s all I have the energy to do! Then the dogs need a run, I should buy the odd present or two and I will be in bed by 9.10 -
Morning all. I have supervised the very efficient cleaner mopping the floor.
Pleased to say they're keeping me in until at least tomorrow, as I am quite breathless atm. Need to be up and moving for ten minutes every hour. Have just done the stairs test and passed, yay! Came back to my chair to find that my dorm mates had kindly ordered me a most welcome cuppa. Everyone is so kind9 -
I'm sorry I misunderstood your post Ionafan, I thought you were home. If they're keeping you in it's because you need to be there so I hope you can enjoy watching other people fly and your cups of tea and meals being delivered to you. *healing vibes*This morning I must do the superking and shower room ready for later. We're out to lunch with friends but for once I'm not looking forward to it. We used to be a close bunch but one person has gone a bit strange, which happened during the most intense early part of the pandemic and it's coming out in strange ways. I won't be able to relax around him at all because of his need to have a pop at people in random ways. Has anyone else found this reaction in anyone they know? Thank goodness I don't drink any more because I'd have been a bit more reactive after a couple of glasses of wine in the olden days. The Co-op lorry has skidded on an icy bit of the hill where we park our car, fortunately our car wasn't in the zone where it ended up but a couple of cars were. I'm hoping it's all thawed by the time I need to drive us to the pub and then on to the station to pick our arrival up - not something I normally do but as we're out and about with the car I may just as well and gives me a good excuse to leave the slightly fraught lunch earlier than I normally would.Better is good enough.8
