My cards were posted to you on Monday…Natty68 said:Evening all, just to let you know I'm still awaiting cards from Valli and Piggers.
Due to the nature of the postal strikes I will be sending out all cards on the 14th December and praying they get to everyone in time. Unfortunately it is in the middle of the two day strike that week, and as there is a strike tomorrow and Monday I have no idea if the cards I'm waiting for will now arrive in time.. what I can do is send them on when they get to me, so you'll get the odd card on its own...
Bloody Royal Mail, I imagine there will be lots of people not getting their mail etc in time.

Evening all...big hugs to Valli - hope you feel a bit better tomorrow x
Not much flying done today, but more planned for tomorrow, so the decluttering continues...
Nowhere near ready for Christmas yet....I'm not panicking, really, I'm not...

They are on their way Natty.. Post office and rail strikes are causing knock on issues here with backlogs.. we are only getting post every other day when they are working.

Honey I did smile at this 12 days of Christmas starting from the 25th December...I am definitely going to adopt it. And if the cards do arrive then we can say it's our "Flylady Christmas" instead of a traditional one 😉😉Honey_Bear said:They will be lovely whenever the do arrive Natty. Don't forget there are 12 Days of Christmas and the first, as far as I'm concerned, is 25 December.

Hugs Valli, I do hope you are feeling better today. Although if my dh's chemo is anything to go by you'll start to feel better about 3 days afterwards. It's a shame they couldn't have started yours on a Friday then it gives you the weekend to recover..👍You will get used to the horrible metallic in your mouth too honey. The good news on that front is you can experiment with different tasting foods to see what you can actually taste from now on.
Hope everyone is managing to stay warm indoors during this cold spell. I've had to make a decision to keep the heating on low overnight as it takes way too long to reheat the house when it is on timed. For those that can't keep the heating on please wrap up warmly 😘

They'll get here Valli, probably stuck due to the strikes. No worries, they'll more than likely arrive either tomorrow or early next week (if they aren't striking)... XxxValli said:

Very chilly today but also fairly chilled; the caffeine finally wore off. I'm sure I should be in more of a panic, but why?Narc0lepsy said:Hugs to Valli.
Fingers crossed everyone's heating devices stay in good order now
Tomorrow I have to:
- pack
- pick foliage and put together what I will need to assemble SIL and step SIL flower arrangements at Mum's
- re check list in case I've forgotten anything drastic
- usual pre-going-away tasks of filling bird feeders, emptying compost, checking fridge etc.
- take round any local cards
- try and do more of a report. 2 need to be done by next Thursday (1 is already started); 2 more would be great before Christmas.
Have a good weekend everyone.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8
