Morning honey,
Hows things with you?
I know i shouldnt but at the minute it seems like the best way to get me sorted and it would be one less thing on my mind. Would also mean that my target of getting a house next year would still be on where as if i dont then i honestly cant see me doing it. As i dread to think what my dfd is now (started off as feb next year then went to may and now who knows!)
But then that all depends on if we end up having to rent somewhere first depending how the gf's results come back but im guessing they are going to show nothing and we are going to be no further forward.:mad:Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Hi EAMD! I know where you're coming from about not being in the best of moods & all that! I too feel on a bit of a downer again & have cut down a little on the overtime. Been doing what I feel is my limit with overtime IYKWIM & I feel burnt out again! So this week I have done a few less hours & feel better for it already. About the consolidation, I wouldn't advise you either way but many others on here would advise you not to go ahead with it, but only you & GF can make the final decision. To be honest I am looking into consolidating all our CC's & overdrafts, which amounts to around £15k, as like you say it is one less thing on your mind & having all payments in one place has to have some benefits. I/we can borrow £15k over 7 years at around £245 a month at around 8.5%. Currently paying over £300 a month towards CCs & ODs so we would be better off monthly. Our OD is 13.35%,2 CCs are LOB at 6.9% & 2 are at 0%, which are due to run out early next year. Not going to make any decisions til next month when I'm off, which will give me time & a clear head to do a fresh budget to see if consolidating would be a realistic solution or us & we know that if we do consolidate, then we cannot run up any more debts & make ouselves worse off. Got to go now, all the best!!Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. Morning all,
Well weekend was a great laugh and didnt cost me alot which is good. So money will be used for putting towards the savings i need to make at the minute.
I'm still waiting on gf's test results which is driving me crazy. Been phoning her to chase them which she isnt doing (she has once now) im pretty sure it is because she is scared what she might hear but living in the dark cant be any better!
Thoroughly fed up with eveything at the minute and my debt busting isnt going well at all because of it. Everyone keeps asking me if i'm ok to which i just keep saying im fine. Just had enough of all the s**t recently and dont feel like im getting anywhere with anything. Feel like i've spent the past two years standing still.

Hi EAMD, sorry to hear you are fed up. I have been reading your diary for a while. Can you get out on your bike and blow some of the fed-up-ness away? Might help you to feel better.

Chin up EAMD, it does hit us hard at tmes the DFW journey & sometimes it does feel as though you hit a brick wall. You have cleared a massive amount of debt & should give yourself a pat on the back. Don't know what you will do regarding consolidating but by the looks of things you have got your debts well & truly under control, you will have bad months, we all do, but if I was you I'd ride the storm. I have worked out our CC & OD debts on the salarycalculator website & the £16k we owe works out at 7.8%, but if we don't manage to get our 0% card transferred then this will shoot right up so we are just going to carry on as we are until we know if we have BT'd successfully IYKWIM. Chin up mate & all the best!!Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. Thanks Ltm,
At the minute im not doing anything with the consolidation. Im waiting till i find out my girlfriends test results as this will have a big bearing on any decision i make.
I just hate waiting! 2 Weeks and we still havent had the results and it was done privately! If i'd had my way i would have phoned and at least got an expected date but there you go.Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Morning all,
well just got off the phone to abbey again (phoned them a few days ago and they hadnt done what they said) Thankfully i got through to someone in chester who understood me and my frustration. I also got her name and she has put a note on my account should i have any more problems then i can contact her!
Had a chat with one of my best friends last night and feel a little better for it, although she goes back of to uni on saturday.
Also was up during the night not feeling well although i've still come into work.
Not alot else to report. Time for a :coffee:Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71
