  • Morning all,

Many thanks Andrea, I pm'd you back last night.

Paid £100 off my bike on my abbey card last night, so another £50 that i'll need to pay off then will get the rest for my birthday.

Got just about everything for car now. So just the labour and a few more parts that the mechanic has to get to pay for next week, then back to debt busting. Should hit sub £10k next month which will be a big boost!

    1/3 down 2/3's to go!

Shop didint have any £5 notes earlier so ended up with 3 £2 coins.

  • Thanks for the replies everyone!

Yeah feel i have done quite well. Just want it gone. This could have been £15 as a deposit rather than debt.

Just want my own place now.

Yeah i know what you mean, as part of the change was meant for tonight but dont want to spend it now.Nevermind!

Got an expensive week next week. Got car getting fixed (around £500) arranged an afternoon out for my birthday with mates which is £60 for me and my gf. And we are out drinking the night before so which will probably be another £50 odd oh well. Need something to cheer me up

  • Morning all,

Had a lousy day yesterday. Arguing with the insurance company about the operation i need.

Long and short of it is i could have this done next week but the insurance wont let me at that hospital. Needs to be the local trust hospital. Fed up and angry doesnt even cover it

Eventually got somewhere so that now we just need to prove it wont be quicker it other local trust hospitals

Not alot more i can do now just wait to hear what they say as the secretary from the hospital is putting something in writing. She is being really helpful and said when she phoned up on my behalf last week she got angry with them they are that useless!

    I need a :coffee:

Hey eamd, thought I'd come and read your success story after seeing your post on the Pay off £8000 in 2008 challenge board! I was so hooked I missed out on a free game of Gala bingo!

Like you, we are at home with the (not so!) olds, they offered to have us for two years while we sorted ourselves out moneywise and looking at the housing market I am so grateful to them because we were able to sell our apartment at peak price and now wait and see what's going to happen in the next year while clearing debts and hopefully saving some deposit. So, I feel your pain when you talk about wanting your own place but I promise you, you will look back on times now and wish to have this much spare (ish!) income when you are paying the mortgage and bills each month! Make the most of it now... we do!
    Make £5 a day challenge - February £54.28/£140

  • Morning all,

What a morning! GF's car started smoking and leaking fluid last night. Got up and took her to my mechanic this morning and she is looking at a £200 bill and car wont be fixed till monday and isnt safe to drive.

Hi Smithy & Snaffle, glad you enjoyed reading. Will need to stop by and check out your diaries!

Sorry you missed the bingo Smithy :rotfl:

I know it will be worth it in the long run! Just fed up of living at home!

Debt busting is now on hold till car and bday weekend are out the way! Then it will hopefully be back battering them! sport-smiley-005.gif

Time for a :coffee: who wants one?
