  • Hey all,

Had some bad news yesterday my grans sister passed away. Its not even 2 months since my gran passed away so has brought back alot of the raw feelings.

Still havent got my car back yet, not looking forward to the bill as they have been working on it solidly for 2 days and need to do more this morning. Should hopefully get it back around lunchtime then i have the bloke coming to quote for the paint work. More money

Hi Lazy - Posting on here is one of the best motivators but the other one i found was to make minimum payments on all debts bar one then you can concentrate on that one and see the difference it is making then you can enjoy getting it to 0. I'd also be looking at trying to get rid of that morgan card as 22% is huge! Have you got any room on other cards to move it about?

It is very hard to keep motivated and im struggling at the minute but will hopefully be back and see some proper movement soon.

  • hi EAMD

so sorry to hear about your grans sister. must be a really hard time. You need to be there for like i'm sure she was there for you when you needed here. all my best wishes to you both.

hope your car bill wont be too much, maybe they have just been doing a few hours a day? you should definitely give them a call to check the price so you dont get a shock when you pick it up.

I like the idea of min payments to each card except one. that what i'm doing with the morgan. i have room on the egg card but that has cash withdrawals on and purchases that APR is an average of the interest rate so i want to clear it before transferring onto it. feeling a bit stuck but must be nothing compared to what you're feeling.

here's to hoping you get some good news soon :)

Hi EAMD, sorry to hear about your gran's sister.

I'm sure people have asked you this before, but how come you have earned so many piggy points in such a short time?! I have had my account since Christmas and am still heading for 1000! Mind you, all I do is click on the 5 piggypoint bonuses each day.
    Make £5 a day challenge - February £54.28/£140
To help pay off 0% CC debt - 27.1.15 £7367.12
    Mortgage deposit savings £2501.00/£15,000
  • Thanks Lazy but it was my gran's sister (my great aunt) not my sisters gran.

Thanks Smithywilko, one of the things i've done is the bingo sign up. You deposit £10 but you get 2000 piggy points (£20) so you are then making money out of it with the possibility of winning money aswell.

Although they have now made the £10 vouchers 1150 points

There are various other signups that earn you extra, signing up to news letters etc. I use a span email address so my main one doesnt get them all :D but it has to be the same as your pigsback registered email address.

lets do a bit of EAMD motivation now shall we....

    m_21149.jpg

not to far from you that one......and it's for sale.....:D

I'm so sorry to hear about you relative hon, and of course it will bring mack some raw feelings, deal with them in your own time, plenty of hugs from GF, take it easy and allow the feelings time to move on again.

the car is a PITA. I second the idea of getting a maximum cost quote so they aren't able to keep increasing the bill.
I've got a headache... need tablets... Have a good day hon, and no matter what else you do, no matter how else you feel, just keep on keeping on and you'll be fine. :grouphug:
