I am busy planning a wedding now as well to add to my stress so struggling to find time but I will persevere!
    Congratulations :)

BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”

Please email your PCN story to watchdog@bbc.co.uk they want to hear about it.
Please then tell us here that you have done so.

Hi guys, resurrecting this thread after just over 2 years.

I am sorry to say life, health issues etc got in the way and we lost momentum in fighting this. Out estate manager (the person not the company) changed over since last updating (possibly I stressed out the one we had to the point they asked to be removed from our estate on to another one).

I tried to keep up the battle and was coordinating with other FP residents across multiple estates but FP basically just lie through their teeth and deny everything and ignore any issues on the estate, including beyond parking. Our MP soon lost interest in supporting our cause after she had got her appearance on BBC and 5 minutes of looking like she cared about her constituents. She lost her election attempt in 2024 at least and is now a former MP. BBC and other avenues didn't get far as due to the complexity of our case involving our homes and a notoriously bad management company it was difficult to explain and for them to run with it as part of the wider attention PPCs were getting as arguably FP were the bigger issue that started the whole problem off.

We are now at the stage of receiving LBCs from Gladstones and I am back to researching how to fight this and rereading the guide on how to reply and bringing myself back up to speed. We have so far received letters for two of the so called PCNs and I expect to receive a third sometime soon. We have continued to park in the same place since the enforcement began and have received no further "PCNs" since the original three. Parking on the estate is mostly the same, others don't seem affected by it and visitors to nearby shops/doctors still freely park on our estate and likely avoid any PCNs due to short visits. We have also had a shop open in one of the buildings on the estate and they receive deliveries from a 20+ tonne truck that blocks the road into the estate while unloading. All of this activity seems to be unaffected by UKCPM and I have seen no visible evidence of their enforcement in the last 2 years. Some of the signs on the estate ended up being removed (I assume by angry residents) and took almost 2 years for them to be noticed and replaced.

FP have made no further comments on the matter and the new estate manager seems just as uninterested as the last. We have had no residents meeting still since we purchased the property in 2021 and FP seem to ignore or refuse all suggestions to hold one.

Guess I am now looking for advice on how to formulate my response to the LBCs. If I understand correctly I should email them with the template and also state my reasons for disputing the claim. Wondering if any parking cases have happened in the 2 years since that should be considered? I understand I should also be emailing the management company and potentially the land owner? Believe land is owned by the original property developer (a big home building company) so I would assume they will have zero interest in engaging over this.

Probably missing some details but hopefully with the great assistance from people on here I can start up the fight again on this.

I will be emailing response to:

    enquiries@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk
    litigation@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk

Which I hope are the correct addresses for them. The enquiries one is on the letters we have got and the litigation one is what I see when searching other forum posts.

    Thanks as always.

Yep one or both should work.

If you have more than one LBC, respond with ONE reply to both and ask why they haven't consolidated the two PCNs.

    Don't mention other PCNs.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks and hello again, it has been some time. Thanks so much for all the previous help it was much appreciated. I will respond today and good point about consolidation, I did wonder why they didn't and assumed it was a tactic to overwhelm with separate cases. If I remember correctly we had 3 "PCNs" and so far only two LBCs. One PCN came a bit after the others so I imagine that one is bit further behind in terms of their automated processes to spam out these letters and proceed to court.
