No communication was made to advise that parking would be discussed at the meeting and not all relevant .........The resident's position is that we have the benefit of rights .............If it hasn't gone yet, a heads up for you2

If talking about a group, it would be residents' position.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks4 -

I believe it is Kettel & Others v Bloomfold ........................2 -
Hi guys, thanks for the advice. I amended the letter and printed out copies and provided to all residents along with an addressed envelope and asked them to read the complaint, sign and address and post or pop back through our letterbox for us to post for them. Have also got more residents on board now including some flats we missed originally as I didn't spot their entrances and letterboxes so should hopefully have more strength in numbers.
More residents have sent email complaints and are unfortunately getting the same copy and paste rubbish answers back so it seems FirstPort are trying to dig their heels in but hopefully the pressure will mount so we don't have to move to legal action. Another resident is already considering legal action over billing issues and late payments penalties so I think we will have support in further legal action.
FirstPort have been discussed recently in House of Commons by another MP and seems there is endless stream of complaints about them so hopefully that will mount up as well. I've also contacted local news about it so hopefully they can help us out.
With regards to appeals, the neighbour with £1k+ penalties has had all cancelled by UKCPM and or IAS which just shows they have no faith in enforcing it and getting the money in court. Our two penalties were appealed 35/36 days ago now with no response from UKCPM, their guideline being they respond within 35 days so not sure if they given up on me or figuring out what to do or just incapable of following their own rules as well.
Struggling to keep up the battle as long COVID is hammering both me and my partner along with other health issues but we will keep fighting. Once again thanks to everyone for the advice and support it is much appreciated!10 -
Keep going - brilliant group effort. Get UKCPM removed. And NOT REPLACED.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done. Despite covid you have done a fantastic job.
Just a pedantic note, they are not penalties, nor are they fines. Those words should never be used in any communication as it adds an air of legitimacy to modern highway robbery.I married my cousin. FirstPort are notorious for looking after themselves.
We had good MA's on our new build site - appointed by the builder initially. The MA were then taken over by FP who raised the charges and did less. We lobbied to get rid of them and appointed a small local company to carry out the work, using local trades for the jobs. Service charges halved not because the trades were any cheaper but because the ridiculous markups were removed.
Don't stop at getting UKCPM out as it will only be half the battle.
You might also consider taking your (group) complaint to the First Tier Property Tribunal - not expensive and relatively local - to check over leaseholder rights. Here's an example of what they do. See #25

- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.
