Just a pedantic note, they are not penalties, nor are they fines. Those words should never be used in any communication as it adds an air of legitimacy to modern highway robbery.
Had more residents joining up from yesterdays letter. Also have local news visiting tomorrow hopefully to do a piece on the situation! Feels like we are gathering momentum.
The area manager has responded to my initial formal complaint and just given me the same copy and paste rubbish our estate manager did. They tried to claim all residents were present at the meeting last year and were in agreement for them to bring in parking enforcement which is a complete lie. Also tried quoting from our TP1 so I advised back that the TP1 made no reference to being subject to a PPC and PCNs. Estate manager also tried quoting TP1 and stating that we must abide by the rules in it which is hilarious because they seem to think they don't have to and can do whatever they want.
Told them if they continue with their stance we will pursue legal action. Will see what they come back with.7 -

If you are interviewed, or anyone else for that matter, do make sure the F word isn't used, or at least an explanation given that these are not fines but invoices. Make sure the interviewer knows beforehand not to refer to them as fines.
Have a crib sheet and prime the interviewer up first.
Any chance you could get your MP there at the same time?
Do use the expression, unregulated private parking company referred to as rogues, scammers, and bloodsuckers by MPs across all parties during parliamentary debate as often as possible, mention fake add on charges if possible, and that debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored.
One of the important messages to get across is, "If you get a parking charge notice from an unregulated parking company, do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal the driver's identity. Seek help from this forum."
(Make sure to emphasise the parking forum in the motoring forum, not the useless "official" MSE advice).
Primacy of contract if it's your own parking space.
Other important info to get across if possible is that the DVLA sells vehicle keeper data without checking that these unregulated companies have a right to obtain and process it.
Vehicle keepers can be held liable even if they were not in the vehicle at the time. Someone in hospital on a ventilator, on active overseas service with the military, or on a gap year in Australia can be held liable thanks to our government, and it's about to be introduced in to Scottish Law very soon. Well done Ms Sturgeon. Scottish motorists and Scottish courts won't know what has hit them.I married my cousin. Yes, "We want independence from some things but are happy to import the worst of English/Welsh laws".I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -

Our MP did turn up which was a surprise. After the BBC arrived they told me she was in the area and heading down and she arrived soon after to speak with residents and was featured in the segment. Unfortunately FirstPort made a statement which was completely false that they implemented due to residents complaints and were working with residents to address our concerns. One resident I spoke to said he had requested a follow up meeting following a residents meeting midway through last year and our estate manager refused because she had been hammered by residents in the previous meeting and "didn't want to go through that again". Pathetic.
It was on BBC South Today. I have a recording of it, just wondering best way to upload as not sure if my neighbours would be happy me sharing it around with their names and faces in it. Also it would identify myself though I'm not particularly worried about UKCPM coming after me because its been over 35 days and they still haven't bothered to respond to my appeals and I don't think they have any hope of enforcing this in court and getting the money out of me. I think I can blur stuff out on Youtube? Or am I being paranoid now 🤣6 -
