I'm pleased to hear your shift ended up better than you anticipated and your boss and colleague pitched in with some of the clean up.

Delurking to say that he may just be a bad manager and decided to send the message in the hope that the member of staff that isn’t catching on so quick pulls their socks up without him act7ally needing to confront them about it face to face!

Not good really, neither is the fact that he has already asked people to take on extra shifts so they probably also know who is for the chop 😣

Really pleased for you that your shift went better than you thought. Also glad when he was rude to you, you were prepared to walk out. you shouldnt have to put up with a rude and ungrateful boss. And now he knows that you wont, he will have to be at least civil and hopefully actually nice towards you!
Hope your having a nice calm day today!

Morning all - it's going to be another hot one today! The heat is not helping me get much done unfortunately but after a slow, unproductive weekend I really must get my bottom into gear and start crossing things of my list!!!
We are also on holiday next week so want to try and add quite a bit to the cash pot this week to make up for taking a whole week off :) If that is not motivation then I do not know what is ;)

Thank you all for your lovely comments regarding my little part time job. Its lovely knowing I have your support behind me x

Good news on the chipping earnings front - I have been asked to do an extra 10 hours this week on top of my usual hours as somebody is away for a few days so of course I said yes - that will give me £108 extra to my usual wages :)

Son has an exam today so I have to take him in first thing and collect him at around 11am I believe so I will try and time my post office run with this to save a small amount of petrol!

    Let's get started.

Here's my (not so) little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 27 points earned so far :)
    2. Remind hubby to submit claim for vets bills - DONE hopefully he will submit them today. It is for around £200 so would like in our bank account sooner rather than later :)
    3. Complete a Nectar survey
    4. Post in 3 FB groups promoting my business with a hope I will get some more orders
    5. Comment on In search of posts on FB in the hope I get some orders
    6. Follow up on enquiries - DONE three people reminded that they may like to use me ;)
    7. Make fathers day cards using stash I already have
    8. Invoice local farm shop for sale or return items sold - DONE invoice sent for £9.40 and also advised them that I am putting up my prices by 25% as costs have risen and I have to do more running around than was agreed so need to cover petrol etc. Will transfer when payment has been received :)
    9. Post off order made on Friday and I forgot about (whoops!) - DONE only for £1.50 but posted off on way to food shop so no extra petrol costs incurred :)
    10. Pay in chippy wages - DONE £140.50 transferred to OP Savings account :)
    11. Check to see if cheques have cleared - DONE £26.50 transferred to OP savings account :)
    12. Work on the banner design - DONE now waiting customers comments :)
    13. Transfer Nectar points over onto card associated with survey account
    14. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji - DONE not a winner :(
    15. Meal plan for week - DONE and shopping list written :)
    16. Shop at Lidl using app and cash in any vouchers - DONE used £6.09 worth of coupons from app so this amount has been transferred to the OP savings account :)Also won a free pain au chocolate next time I go in :)Plus my stir fry items for tonights dinner were 40% off so winner winner chicken stir fry dinner :)
    17. Scan shopping for Shop and Scan points - DONE :)
    18. Earn some points on swagbucks (hoping to reach daily target)
    19. Enter 3 competitions - DONE 28 entered today :)
    20. Be in for person collecting towel sold on FB Marketplace at around 6pm tonight - person not coming made some excuse that they tried to collect at 4pm today but nobody came to door as dog did not bark and she has now deleted all messages - why can't people just be honest and say I don't want it anymore :(
    21. List an item on FB Marketplace
    22. Complete a task on Oh My Dosh
    23. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    24. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    25. Complete Crowdology survey
    26. Complete a survey on Toluna Influencers
    27. Complete a survey on Prime Opinion
    28. Complete survey on Opinion Bureau
    29. Investigate the ways to make an extra £25 I came up with and sign up for them
    30. Renew breakdown cover
    31. Take a survey on Opinion Outpost
    32. List a new item on Etsy (in the hope it gets my shop seen a bit more)
    33. Complete one of the courses on the membership site I belong too before subscription ends
    34. Work on my business to make it bigger and better
    35. Go through clothes and find some things for holiday before going out to buy more

    Morning all,

Well the lady who said she had come to collect the item from FB Marketplace when she clearly hadn't, actually showed up at around 8pm last night so that's one bit of junk out of my house and another £3 added to the OP savings pot :) Small victory but a cause to celebrate none the less :)

It's hot here on the Broads already today and I've got a chippy shift this evening so that's going to be fun I don't think! Never mind I keep in mind that it will net me another £36ish to add to the mortgage mountain fund :)

No exams for son today so its a day of revising at home fir him and I wont have to use any petrol getting him too or from school so a little moneysaving going on right there.

Going to post my long list for today but there is a good chance that might just say balls to it and enjoy the sunshine with the kids instead - I'm not seeming to feel it today ;) The sunshine makes me lazy it appears ;)

Here we go then - my (not so) little list for today is:-

    1. Play on Mistplay - 47 points earned so far :)
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Post in 3 FB groups promoting my business with a hope I will get some more orders
    4. Check bank account and see if money received from farm shop and website for order - neither received yet :(
    5. Comment on In search of posts on FB in the hope I get some orders
    6. Make fathers day cards using stash I already have - DONE :)
    7. Make and post off small order received yesterday - made just need to post off later today :)
    8. Work on the banner design for customer - DONE awaiting customer comments :)
    9. Work on logo design for customer - DONE really not feeling them today but lets hope the customer likes them :)
    10. Make up stock to restock farm shop
    11. Transfer Nectar points over onto card associated with survey account

Another sunny and hot morning here on the Norfolk Broads for me again and two chippy shifts are coming (I've got a lunchtime shift 12-1.30pm and evening shift 4.30pm - 8pm) so I'm going to be a busy bee today and a very hot one I think!.
Because of this I'm going to try and be realistic in what I am going to be able to achieve so my list for today really will be a little list! (for once).

Our son has two exams today so he will be in school all day and catching the school bus home tonight - it all seems very real that he has nearly finished high school now and I'm feeling quite emotional. Gosh only knows how he must be feeling although I think he is so ready to leave and I have certainly noticed an improvement in his mental health since he has been studying at home.

The good thing about working most of the day is that I should not have to spend any money so planning on another NSD - I do love days like that :)

Right I better get started - here we go my little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 57 points earned so far
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Check bank account and see if money received from farm shop and website for order - DONE farm shop paid so £9.40 transferred to OP savings account :)
    4. Post off order made yesterday and fathers day cards - DONE :)
    5. Reply to enquiry for custom stickers (will be worth £196 if agree to go ahead) - DONE and they have asked for a quote for a higher amount so it might turn into an £890 order fingers crossed :)
    6. Make initial logo designs for order received yesterday - initial questions sent over so waiting for a reply before I can start :)
    7. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji
    8. Enter 3 competitions - DONE 29 entered today :)
    9. NSD - DONE transferred £5 already as no time to spend money today :)
    10. Read MSE newsletter - DONE added a note in diary to action £75 investment cashback and to phone regarding state pension NI payments for Friday :)
    11. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    12. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    13. Go through clothes and find some things for holiday before going out to buy more
    14. Chippy shift - lunchtime - - DONE :)
    15. Chippy Shift - evening - DONE :)
    Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02

Son is chomping at the bit for it to arrive and whilst I'm really happy that he will have finished these stressful times, I don't think I'm ready to not have a child at school at any more :( they grow up so quickly don't they!!
