Morning all - another hot one today. Certainly too hot to be working in a chippy but I will be later today as have another two shifts (lunchtime and evening). The boss has gone back to his usual ways telling me how awful I am again compared to his star employee and barking orders for me to do things when I am already busy doing something else!. I swear the guy thinks I'm an octopus!!! Apparently I would not even be employed by McD's who take all the rejects according to him and he will be getting rid of us very soon all apart from his star of course! Cannot wait for my shifts today! Its far too hot in there for that!!!!
The alternative job hunting will commence after my holiday I think!!!

Good news on the potential orders front though - the enquiry I had a few days ago needs invoicing for £890 so that will bring a smile to my face and hopefully get me through my shifts today :)

No exams for son today either so no extra petrol will be used taking him to and fro :)

I'm sticking to a little lists again today (especially given that I did not manage to complete yesterday's list) but I do seem to get much more done when I know I don't have as much time to do things in. Nothing like a deadline to help keep you focused.

How is everybody else coping with the heatwave - loving it or hating it?

Right I better get started - here we go my little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 2 points so far
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Check bank account and see if money for website for order has been received - DONE received today so £37 transferred into OP savings account :)
    4. Invoice custom sticker order (£890) and provide new proof - DONE just got to await payment now :)
    5. Reply to enquiries from potential customers - DONE have to be honest one lady I'm not even sure I want the job as it will be so much work and I get the feeling she will be a PITA - must remember to charge her more if she decides she wants a quote :)
    6. Make initial logo designs for order - DONE :)
    7. Enter competitions - DONE 13 entered today :)
    8. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji - DONE not a winner :(
    9. NSD - back in chippy soon so will almost certainly a NSD so I've transferred over £5 now into the OP savings pot :)
    10. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    11. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    12. Go through clothes and find some things for holiday before going out to buy more
    13. Chippy shift - lunchtime - DONE :)
    14. Chippy Shift - evening - DONE :)

Sorry to hear that the boss is being awful. Remember it is not a reflection on you but due to his own insecurities etc.

    Morning all,

I'm feeling a bit fragile today. It's our son's last day at high school (final exam today and he will miss his leavers assembly as we will be on holiday) and my body is aching from all the shifts I have done this week at chippy (still got one more to go tomorrow before getting a week off).
Add to this that hubby is apparently thinking of working away again for less money than he earns right now (as it will either be a choice of OT or coming home to see us) and I thought we were focused on clearing these mortgages together, I'm not sure I'm in the right place to be doing much today :(

Hopefully the sunshine will help get my out of the funk I am suffering in my head and make me focus on action - even if it appears I may have this mountain to climb without hubbies help!!!

On the plus side I got the £899 order and I have not heard anything else from the PITA enquirer so there is some good news :)

Going to stick to a little list today and if I get more done that will be a bonus (being honest - if I get anything done then that will be a win for me today!).

    Here's that little list:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 2 points so far
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Check bank account and see if money for website for order has been received (this is another one) - DONE not in yet :(
    4. Reply to enquiries from potential customers
    5. Revise logo design
    6. Enter competitions
    7. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji - DONE not a winner :(
    8. NSD
    9. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    10. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    11. Go through clothes and find some things for holiday before going out to buy more - made piles of possible things which might fit and I might take - just need to try them on now :)
    12. Make up stock for farm shop

    Morning all,

I'm in a lot better frame of mind today so fingers crossed I will achieve much more - it won't be hard as I managed so little yesterday!!!!
We had a cheeky little chinese takeaway last night to celebrate our son reaching the end of his exams which was nice and saved me cooking but I must remember to put some things in the freezer today to save having to waste them.

I really do have to get my bum in gear and get things crossed off the list as I'm running out of time before our holiday next week.
I'm feeling really excited now (although terrified about the surfing!!!!)

I've got a chippy shift this evening and we are planning on going to the village school fete and jumble sale this afternoon before I have to leave so that should be a good afternoon out and hopefully quite a cheap one too :)

Here's my little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 122 points so far :)
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Check bank account and see if money for website for order has been received (this is another one) - no sign yet :(
    4. Chase up Wix to verify my account so I can be paid the money owed from the big £899 order - DONE no joy say I may have to wait 7 days before it is even looked at :(  I have done everything I can my end so now just have to hope and pray that it will verify :(
    5. Message lady who placed a postcard design order via Etsy and ask for the details asap - DONE now just have to hope she replies quickly so I can get to work on designs :)
    6. Revise logo design - DONE now again hoping customer will get back to me quickly so I can get this finished :)
    7. Upload bar codes and receipts to Shop and Scan - DONE :)
    8. Inform Shop and Scan of holiday
    9. Get three loads of washing dry outside
    10. Enter competitions - DONE 31 comps entered today :)
    11. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji
    12. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    13. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    14. Try on clothes and decide what I am packing for holiday (need to travel light as not much room in car as all seats taken and doggy will be in the boat so only have a roof top box)  - DONE may have to trim it down a bit more but we shall see when it all gets packed :)
    15. Make up stock for farm shop
    16. Renew breakdown insurance
    17. Chippy shift - DONE :)

    Morning all.

It's a little cooler today which is lovely for me as I don't do too well in the heat and the doggy is feeling much happier with it being not so hot too. It also means that I might get away without the fans on today thus saving some electric ;)

It's a good job we are away next week as I was so close to telling my boss where he could stick his job yesterday. He was just so nasty and kept telling me how slow I was when I was working flat out. I'm sure he thinks I'm an octopus and have more than one pair of hands!!! I managed to take my anger and frustration out on the washing up rather than him though (a few metal pans may have been scrubbed to within an inch of their lives!) so I shall really enjoy my week away from him! He just has no people skills at all. Its horrible hearing one employee being praised for everything when I am doing just as good a job if not better :(

Anyway I don't have to worry about the chippy until a week on Thursday so I am going to totally erase it from mind until then ;)

Good news on my website payment front too - they have verified me again and the £800 odd payment is on its way to my bank account (so should be received whilst I am on holiday). I am so relieved it has all been sorted out :)

I've got loads of bits I need to get done ready for us going away so need to get a shifty on if they are going to happen.

Here's my (not so) little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - 2 points gained :(
    2. Complete a Nectar survey
    3. Check bank account and see if money for website for order has been received (this is another one) - not in yet :(
    4. Design postcard for Etsy order - DONE initial designs sent through - just hope she gets back to me quickly :)
    5. Chase customer re logo designs sent through - DONE now just to wait for  a reply - advised that away for 10 days from Tuesday so left the ball in her court :)
    6. Make up small order received from Etsy and post off - DONE
    7. Pay in chippy wages - DONE £92 paid into OP pot :)
    8. Inform Shop and Scan of holiday
    9. Get a load of washing dry outside - DONE two lines dry and also dog blanket :)
    10. Enter competitions
    11. Check free postcode lottery, Win a Dinner and Freemoji  - DONE not a winner :(
    12. Complete a survey/searches on Inbox Pounds
    13. Complete a survey on Panelbase
    14. Make up stock for farm shop
    15. Renew breakdown insurance
    16. Order sticker paper for large order - DONE will order rest when I get home
