Hoping for a decent offer for you! Really not looking forward to the 'tyre kicking' stage when we market ours.
sounds like a good buy on the veg box, ours have offered codes but it's still expensive with the delivery so I'm sticking to the stupidmarket. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks MaB - it's definitely starting to feel a bit more positive now I think - knowing that there is "someone" interested even if right now they're not *quite* interested enough to the tune of an additional couple of thousand £'s is definitely a good thing! Foxgloves It's in situations like the current one with the Octopods that I'm very glad of my "Meters" app - I add readings to that for the electric weekly, so keep track that way, and it's definitely useful for keeping an eye on where things are going. If still nothing on the bill front tomorrow I think I'll pop another reading through to give them a nudge. Hey L - freezer use up missions are both fun and challenging, I think! Reminded MrEH that a proper audit is a job for the weekend though, so onwards with it! Thanks for dropping in and the good vibes Beanie, SA & SH! Redo - I was completely focused on the cancellation but we did the maths and I was glad we did as actually, for the planned contents, this one seems like very decent value. I've debated about various other options in the past but because most trade on being organic, generally speaking 0ddb0x is about the most reasonable, but since they added a delivery charge on, just not quite low enough to justify.
So the end of the week draws ever closer! Oddly enough this one feels longer than the 4 day weeks that have preceded it - not quite sure why but looking forward to having another 3-dayer next week to see how that one feels!Banking checked this morning and - hurrah - my Sant-and-er reg saver has matured and popped into the main current account along with its interest (not great interest, but there you go - it seemed generous at the time we first got it!) so that has now been transferred across to the C0ventry to join the other funds we are amassing in the cash pot ready for use against a house purchase - that amount is creeping up nicely now, although when MrEH's matching Sant regular goes across that will be the last major input into there as far as I can think. Looks like nothing on PBs this month which is a shame - can't win every time though I guess and we have had £25 for each of the last two months, so... It's still looking likely that the pot there will be withdrawn to add to new house funds in due course, but we'll see.
Dr's appointment last night went well - although it still bewilders me how when the surgery are doing next to no face to face appointments they still managed to be running half an hour behind. Having said that it's probably something to do with the people like the one ahead of me who turned up late by her own admission, then spent nearly 20 minutes in there...sigh! As I suspected the Doc wants to refer my proposed HRT prescription to the Gynae team at the hospital as while clearly extremely knowledgeable on the subject of HRT he lacks the specific depth of knowledge on how it might relate to fibroids, and feels (as I do) that it might require a degree of tweaking to get the oestrogen level high enough to be of benefit but without causing me any problems. Hopefully they won't take too long to get back to him. It felt like a really positive appointment though - he was a youngish chap, with a very long Spanish name (which means his room number doesn't show on the screen when you're called in so the poor receptionist had to shout "Room 15!" after each of his patients as they got up, looking confused!) and clearly keen on staying very up to date with his knowledge but also aware of where the gaps in that knowledge are which is good although I often find that can be the case with younger GPs. I'd certainly make a point of booking to see him again as I really felt confident with him.
Food is going to plan - the black bean soup last night was glorious and even MrEH said that I needed to remember how I'd done it (errr - accidentally?!) so it could be cooked again! As generally speaking he's not much of a fan of pulses I was pretty impressed with that. Seriously tasty though - and with exactly the right level of spiciness from smoked chilli flakes and warmth from the smoked paprika. Remembered to get fish out last night to defrost in the fridge ready for tonight's fish stew too so winning at life on the food front at the moment. This evening's mission will be to decide what will work best for tomorrow, although we may be limited on options as I'm not absolutely sure what time I'll be home, and after how many beers...As I mentioned above a job for the weekend is to get that freezer audit properly sorted.
We're leaning more and more heavily towards not going into London on Saturday now thanks to the weather forecast - it's really not looking good, in fact my friend who flies on the BBMF says that they're pretty concerned about the impact it might have on the flypast. If we don't go up to town but it stays dry-ish then I may trundle up to Hainault as the aircraft will fly right over the country park there on the run-in and it's only half an hour away. Assuming we don't go into London then it will be some nice picky type food, I might get a bottle of Prosecco because why not, and we'll use a day spent mostly indoors to get some more work done on the voluntary role stuff without it impacting so much on the rest of the weekend. Picky food will also give me something to take with me to Shuttleworth on Sunday so I can duck a bit of spendiness there - although tradition says that I always have a pint from their bar as it's the only airshow where the beer is that good. I get it early, drink it slowly and am then fine to drive by the time everything finishes 4 or so hours later.

We canceled our Odd box as well in part due to them now charging a delivery charge.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

We also cancelled our organic box (A&C) about a year ago - it was cheaper to buy the same veg at the grocery store or have them delivered with the other groceries! It seemed that the contents of the box were getting less and less with every passing week and both the cost of the box and the delivery was going up!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
