Happy Friday! I submitted a reading yesterday too, extortionate in our case because of course the boiler broke so we leaned heavily on electric heaters/shower/water heater for a couple of weeks - pretty much doubled the electric bill 😱4

I also avoid anything where 🕷️🕷️ might be lurking. Thankfully, Mr F is very good at getting rid of them for me, as the mere sight of a reasonably modest specimen triggers an automatic adrenalin response & I feel shaky for a while. It's ridiculous, but hasn't got any better with age. There is currently one of these beasts living in the inside recess of our shed window. I can only enter the shed if I can't see it.
I don't have this problem with any other creature. Aren't phobias odd?

Phobias are indeed very odd aren’t they - I wouldn’t describe myself as phobic about spiders but I’d definitely sooner not deal with them if I can avoid it, that’s for sure! Actually that goes for most things with more than 4 legs to be honest - apart from Bees, they’re ace obviously!aargh yes Cheery I can well imagine what the broken boiler did to the electricity bill - I guess at least you were saving on LPG though, small mercies and all that! The big bike did indeed get dropped off to the bike shop this morning, and I got a phone call not that long after I got back to say they’d looked at it and it’s essentially all good - there was a small buckle in the front wheel which I think David was just going to straighten, the gears needed some adjustment as I knew but that was apparently straightforward, and it’s had a service. When I pick it up it will cost me a grand total of £40 which I’m delighted with! I’ll need to go and collect it one day or another over the weekend but I can get MrEH to drop me off this time and save myself the walk, at least! The rest of the list has been ticked off, and I now have a meal plan and a shopping list. I also have a tray of flapjack cooling in the kitchen - the luxury version drizzled in dark chocolate and sprinkled with coconut as a weekend treat. I’ll need to add a couple of bars of cheap chocolate to my Al’s list as that has used the last of it and it’s handy to have in for when inspiration strikes (or to shove into porridge - yum!)
The only plan for the rest of the evening now is to get the wedges and fish for tea in to cook shortly ready for MrEH to get home in a bit, and a couple of G&Ts or beers with some TV this evening - almost certainly it’ll be another few episodes of “House” which we seem to be binge watching again, although I’d also like to see what “Malpractice” is like as it’s from the same team as Line of Duty I think, which recommends it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just caught up on your diary EH, you've been busy! There are some online password store things available, I confess I'm not quite sure how they are more secure but an IT friend recommended them when I turned up to coffee still laughing at having seen a literal Password Book on sale in the stationery shop. I have various themes to try and allow for options that make sense to me but not to anybody else, though I've accepted that anything I use less than once in about 3 months I may as well give up and just accept the reset.POA etc is a good reminder for me too, although my situation is different. Family complications mean that I want the solicitor or someone else independent to take on organising things, especially as most of my friends are in that sandwich phase with complications from both parents and children and I wouldn't want to land them with avoidable stress.Enjoy the flapjacks, I am off to google Malpractice on your recommendation!Debt free May 2016...
